Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:Dilan what did you see or do you see about Lyel besides the early vote for Jorhan that makes you suspicious?
Partially his quietness. Partially a hunch. Mafia members have less incentive to pay close attention to the thread and conduct careful analysis, since they already know who is bad and who is good. I had three or four names in mind on day one, and his vote for Jorhan makes him look worse.

One of the people I'll be looking at tomorrow is Lyel. He was one of the people I was considering voting for on Day 1, and his early Day 1 vote for Jorhan makes me more suspicious of him, considering who Jorhan turned out to be.

To be fair, I never said that if Jorhan was innocent your were necessarily guilty. I said I would have to look you over more carefully than I have as yet done. If Jorhan is innocent, I think it very unlikely that Queran and Bronwyn are guilty, as their vote pattern would be needlessly suspicious. You have made a strong case against them and anyone making a strong case against people whom I believe to be inncoent deserves a close look. That is all.

If Jorhan ends up a blameless innocent, I think it is then unlikely that Queran and Bronwyn would have risked themselves protecting him if they are evildoers. In that case, I will be forced to give Gobnait another look. If, however, Jorhan is revealed as I expect him to be, then Gobnait's case is very strong indeed. We shall know in a few hours.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

There have been murmurings among the sunken halls of the Purple Sea Elves that the unanimity of opinion regarding He of the Bloody Moons Dragons may be cause for concern, yet logic compels us to conclude that his motivations are far from pure, so I will join my brothers in casting a ballot for the unfortunate Jorhan, with the hope that I have not been led into error.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

The more I think about it, the more Jorhan seems like the obvious candidate to vote for. It would be foolish for the wicked among us to draw attention to themselves by voting for the same person unless they had to in order to shield one of their own. Therefore, if Jorhan is not evil, it seems unlikely that Bronwyn, Carmen and Queran would be evil either.

Does this make sense, or am I way off base?

That does make for two preemptive defenses in a row though (the first being holding her vote on Day 1 despite being unlikely to be lynched). If nothing else she seems confused and paranoid to me.

I found Bronwyn's defensiveness after receiving a single vote odd as well. Almost everyone received a vote on Day 1 and no one else responded with such vigor.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

An observation from the Purple Sea Elves: The rush to sacrifice Caillic by those at the Peace Table came shortly after Jorhan received his second vote. It is therefore possible that Jorhan is one of our enemies, and that some or all of Queran. Bronwyn and Carmen (all of whom I found somewhat shady on Day 1) intervened to protect their fellow fiend. Far from certain, but a possibility nevertheless.

Wow, lots of great analysis this morning, particularly from Gobnait. The attention to detail is commendable. I will confess that I have had bad feelings about Queran since the beginning, although I cannot as yet pin down why, and my vote for Bronwyn shows how I feel about her, although I have softened a bit after the explanations. Today will be spent rereading people and trying to come to an educated and thoughtful vote. We do not want a repeat of yesterday's result.

It is also worth observing that the votes are not final once they are cast, and can be changed. This seems very dangerous, as the wicked deceivers would be able to conspire to all switch their votes at the last second. Presumably, this is why the hosts have seen fit to keep public records of the polls once they close.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 1

Dilan Bluemoss posts his current observations of the members of the Peace Table for all to read and enjoy:

Bac: Has been very forthcoming and helpful thus far, creating the first seating chart and offering lots of ideas
Shand: Created the more visual seating charts, which was very helpful, but Bac has a point about his criticism of attempts to thwart Rumplestiltskin.
Bronwyn: Has presented himself as rather confused and hapless, which could equally be a sincere reaction to an admittedly confusing sock game, or a calculated ploy.
Carmen: Has posted virtually nothing, and certainly nothing of substance for us to go on.
Queran: Despite a rather spotty history between the Krackens and the Sea Elves, Queran has been generally helpful and complimentary so far. His ideas have struck me as good ones.
Gaerwen: I don't know how we are supposed o trust Forbidden Puppet Magicians (indeed, a more evil combination of words can hardly be conceived) but nothing Gaerwen has done yet arouses any suspicions.
Lyel: Has been very quiet, asking one host question and not yet contributing much of substance. This could be attributable to the Giants' general lack of verbal skills, however.
