Doesn't this process just rack up the town claims for an easy soup kill? How many town end up claiming during each lynch before one single baddie gets caught in a claim battle? 5? 6?

Not to mention, this sounds like a super-shitty way to play, and I really don't see everyone agreeing to play that way. Every single game I have ever run has been open-setup, and they have never involved a soup kill, and I don't think they have ever devolved into anything resembling that.

Wait, the holder of the Secret Role would know who the fakeclaim is by which powerset they have.

Is this outcome (one mafia in F5-ish) inevitable? Extremely likely? Moderately possible?

How much of an issue is this expected to be?

How about this: when there's one Inheritor left, the Soup kill goes away, and the last Inheritor immediately gets to know each living player's role. This allows them to confidently plan a deft and crafty fakeclaim based on the thread-state and remaining players.

I could just add a Secret Role, and use it to replace a town role that exists. I could keep the same power set, and no one would know which role I replaced - which role became a fakeclaim. Is this the booze talking?

Good questions... let's say the two night wait thing goes away with less than three. I think the single-Inheritor Soup Kill shouldn't be allowed. Potentially too easy to narrow down everyone in an F5 kind of situation, right?

wouldn’t town always win at the point because the last wolf would have nothing to claim? or am i missing something?

You make a valid point. A town auto-win is probably worse than a mafia "we figured it all out"... BUT the town could mass-claim on the Day after the last mafia dies, and a single-member Soup Kill wouldn't change it, right?

I guess it's too late to add a fakeclaim?
