Now back to business: so, uncharacteristically serious and aggressive, eh? says my first partner in crime on this board. You should know better than most what my behaviour both on the board and in the chat is like when bad. So tell me, Nev, did I hit a nerve? Who are you trying to protect? Dr Llama? Elo? Hedgie? our new friend MR?
I remember how you played that game, yes. You were quiet and serious, and not silly.
Unlike in every game since. I'm actually getting more convinced now that I made a good vote!
I think you played crazy every game since as a reaction to the complete lack of information civs always have to play in..
And you seem pretty not-crazy now.
Cool! So basically what I'm saying makes sense. Cheers for confirming it! :wine: My lack of information would have continued if it hadn't been for MR's little slip that still seems to go unnoticed and naturally, your quick jump at my throat when I called him out only 10 minutes after my post. What happened? Panic in the chat? If that was plan: killing Rob, then helping Dr Llama cover his tracks by NK'ing Goosey, or framing him according to your teammate (this depends on whether he's on your team or not), then only you and/or Llama could have come up with it. Nois. That being said, uhm... you could not kill me tonight even though I may vote for you or MR tomorrow? :p
Really it's more that what you're saying is largely game-focused, and not *zany* - I haven't noticed you making particularly less sense than anyone else, but everyone's just grasping at straws with which to kill camels and build men anyway.

Thanks for the credit, if that's what you meant :-)
If it helps any, I can promise not to night kill you for the rest of the game?

If I responded to something of yours quickly, then that was just luck. I've been checking in 1-2 times per day, reading through the thread as fast as possible, and commenting only really in response to direct queries or votes.

Re: [DAY 3] Super Meat Boy Mafia

Bah, there's nobody I even want to vote for! I feel like lizzy is being uncharacteristically serious and aggressive, which makes me think maybe she's got a chatroom to be silly in? That's all I've got. I still really don't think Llama's bad. Though I guess we'll see soon, probably.

So, lots of stuff being flung around now... And by stuff... I mean fecal matter.

I've given my opinion on llama and won't be voting for him. It just doesn't make sense to.
Elohcin has been catching my eye just as much as Hedgey and for the same bandwagony reasons. May go there because Hedgey is not an option this time around (this fact is exceedingly suspicious).
Nevinera disappeared after being called out, so I'm increasingly suspicious of him, as well.
I'm not sure I follow the cases on inh and AP. I don't see much baddie activity there unless I missed something.
I totally called that Vompers was a baddie in Homestar pretty early on. I'm not sure if I see that this game yet.
The baddie team killing off Epig as one of there own and then immediately using a rez on him is a pretty damn bold and ballzy move... But not unthinkable :ponder:

Am I missing anyone??

Linkitis from hell!!

Oh wait... That's just one giant post :WTF:
To be clear, I disappeared months ago, and am not really that "back". I think a quick look will show that I have been barely present this whole game - I'm really too busy to play, but I missed the game :-/

I think everyone seems to be ignoring the oddities in the game though. Powers aren't the only thing that could take hedge off the board - I rather suspect she tried out one of those warp levels.

Mongoose wrote:Okay everyone is saying a lot and nothing at all in RE: confirming suspects. (that is not meant to be a criticism).

Who are anyone's suspects? It's weirdly hard for me to follow who any of you are actively suspecting for whatever reason.

Let me see if I can summarize some of our suspects and PLEASE correct me I'm wrong.

* Hedge suspects Llama, Birdy and LIzzy

* Llama suspects Lizzy, Hedge, possibly DP and maybe Eloh?

* Dom suspects Hedge, or at least finds her comments weird

Nev, who are you looking at today? Any one else want to chime in?

I'm hardly looking. I had no time this evening to read the thread properly - I scanned everything, but I don't think I'm really following much.
On the other hand...

HEY NEV

Llama is in this to win this. He wants to be the Prime Czar of SyndicateLand. Please give us your read on him. he has big motivation to not get erroneously lynched and also to win, so I don't trust him one bit (no offense!)
That's not the first time you've tried to pit specifically me against llama. I don't think you have any info on the topic as a civ, but you seem way too focused to be operating with no intel.

Voting Mongoose.

Incidentally, Llama has played a very varied game in the past. This is hardly the first time he's behaved 'uncharacteristically', and I rather think he does *that* intentionally.
I think he probably enjoys making a persona and sticking to it more than winning, and he's done some very strange things in the past in the name of 'extracting information'. So I'm not buying the zany behavior as an argument for his lynching, though I do wish he'd knock it off a little.

Re: [DAY 2] Super Meat Boy Mafia

We have a core problem here:

1) We don't gain any concrete information until somebody dies.
2) Normally people die when we lynch them, in this game people just take damage.
3) Scattering our vote around like last time will result in lots of people being hurt (and easier for baddies to kill) and us gaining no real information until the endgame.

Sadly, I don't see any actual solutions to that problem - bandwagoning is mostly 'hope we get lucky'.. Does anyone else see some way to not lose this game? Maybe we'll be able to uncover more information as the game unfolds via mechanics like on night 0?

Outside of Lizzy, I wouldn't mind examining the rest of them. I think there's definitely a possibility there's a baddie hiding amongst one of them.
Not me! :noble:
Because innocent people are always the first to say, "Don't examine me! Look over there instead!"
I think that tendency is pretty well an across-the-board trait, fairly uncorrelated with the civ/bad axis.

I've been quiet because I'm barely playing - I check in every few hours, but I never really have time to do much in the way of analysis (and I don't feel like there has been much to work with so far either). I think Llama is being zany because he's bored, because he's not in a chat with anyone, and I think Mongoose is joining him because he's contagious - I can't read anything about her status from that fact.

I'm still kind of confused by the game, actually - I'm unclear on what many of our attributes actually *do*, and I don't really understand how we're supposed to have any chance, unless the baddies have much less life than the civs. But maybe the odds are bad, and Fetus just got really lucky last night?

Re: [DAY 1] Super Meat Boy Mafia

Also, since we wouldn't be voting with intent to kill, we would be gaining much less information every vote.

I don't think you're bad, llama, but take a careful look at anyone who agreed with you.

Re: [DAY 1] Super Meat Boy Mafia

A flaw, llama - all of the baddies have some way to do extra damage. It doesn't matter that there are more civ lives than baddie, because we would be distributing our damage around and they would not. If I were a baddie, I would be *cheering* for your plan. Though not out loud, since it would eventually become fairly obvious how rough it would be on the civs.

But I'm a bit confused on how you were able to look in 3 levels. I assume a role secret, but I haven't been able to look through the roles very thoroughly.
It could also be related to his choice in the night poll.

There's not much to work with here. I'd really like to hear why Jigsaw thinks Devin is The Doctor, but I kind of doubt he's going to say (or that I'll be back before the vote closes - we're cooking out tonight). Jig looks to be new, and I really don't think his team would have let him say something like that if he were bad (though that would be a really clever play, if they thought of it).. He probably doesn't understand the conventions of certainty in mafia yet, but on the outside chance he did get info about Devin, I'm going to vote for Devin instead of randominzing.

linki: and apparently somebody is voting for me, so voting for someone that already has a vote is a side-bonus.

Re: [NIGHT 0] Super Meat Boy Mafia

Any idea what picking a warp zone would do? I'm going to guess something both positive and negative, since this is an MP game.. I'm not going to try that yet, but I'm very curious!

I'm going to go with level one, but I noticed that boom and bwt are already double-covering nine?

MP - are we allowed to say what level we are looking in, to help coordinate our search, or that on the List of Unshareable Secrets?

Re: [DAY 0] Super Meat Boy Mafia

I know bacon boy will win, but I have to say - sausage is *just better*. I mean, I love me some bacon, but it lacks the versatility and variety of sausage.

So I'm going to go with sausage boy :-)
