Re: [END] Bioshock Mafia

We actually expected a Bullz lynch anytime after the B for baddies Ace voters theory. We kept joking about what an unexpected result it would be when Bullz flipped Guardians and not Fontaine's teammate. Never happened I think partly because of the posting contest. The contest is interesting in hindsight. You had DH/Ryan, Mongoose/McClintock, Snow/Tenenbaum, as team leads posting plus Epi/Big daddy, and Bullz/ Little Sister and then non-participant Devin/Cohen cursing away at everything we all had to then read. It was a Guardian led contest, but got boring real fast in what to discuss, so they started making up theories on each other just to be able to keep posting things. There were others, but funny how the roles turned out.

I totally didn't think I counted as a 'team' for the purposes of winning with you (LMS and all).
I have been running on an increasingly slim chance that I could kill one of you and then the other
once you'd wiped out all the competition. Yes, with my 10% attack. >.<
Honestly I didn't either. It was a stray comment to Alex about how I doubted we could win ow that everyone went rogue because we couldn't win with LMS that made him clarify that he counted e LMS as a team. However, up until FH flipped Morally Ambiguous, I thought you were Morally Ambiguous, you had me fooled. Glad we found our last photo last night or you would have been trying to kill me. We could have gone for lynching you and gotten the FEB win as Last Men Standing, but we felt that we would not have survived without you throwing your vote in with ours so we did not want to kill you when we could win with you.

Props to Devin, I think he played a great game and I am excited for his first win!

Seriously?? LMS was a separate team?? That's what I made a big fuss about in the forum with Alex. i was trying to figure out how the win conditions would work. :haha:

As for the code, I was the last guardian since epi was taken. Nev and Epi didnt know what the code was since russ hadnt told us until after we figured out Epi was permanently gone. So when I died I was trying to let you know not to trust Nev. You didnt know we were all dead though. Devin is right, you wouldnt have won with me because I didnt have any killing power and made myself too suspicous going for Nev.

Fun game Alex! Soulcrushing when your team you've spent weeks talking to every morning is gone in one day, and you are left alone with no big daddy in a sea of LMS players! :overreact:

But fun! :mafia:

You and Lt were killed the same night by the big daddies. I dont remeber which killed you, but it was a team decision. We didnt want to pick people who had mentioned any of us yet, so we went with people who seemed insightful and sharp, but would not draw suspicion to any of us if I remember correctly.

Oh and why were people not using their plasmids huh? Do you know how long it took me to get a vote? I dont think Bullz even had a vote when he died. I finally had two votes when I died. Thanks bea 2.0 and Mongoose (i looted you for ADAM the night were rezzed).

We didnt know what Snows gifts were, but we assumed plasmids. We were sending them later in the game to people we hoped to kill or lynch so they could use the plasmid so Bullz and I could search them for ADAM when dead.

Re: [END] Bioshock Mafia

We questioned Epi, every step of the way and he just had answers for everything. Plus he was the team member who had played bioshock, so he kept using that as something, saying we would reach prometheus and then get him back from Nev.

Bullz and Snow figured it out the night our whole team was killed and we ended the chatzy. I opened a new one with russ, bullz, and snow and russ passed on his signal code with devin and daisy. I knew I had one shot at survival since Nev knew who we all were and I had no kill ability and no team. We were hoping that if he were lynched it would take out Epi too, since Epi kept telling us they were linked and we couldnt kill Nev without killing him. So I tried to start a bandwagon agaisnt him. Devin and daisy didnt get the code I think until I died, but I was trying to warn them about Nev since they didnt know.

Dom had excellent instincts, guesses, not sure. But once he mentioned dfaraday, snow, and bullz, we knew he had to go. Guess he had a block?

Bea 2.0 - russ knew you would try to kill him the next night, so he basically came in to our team and we had one shot to save him by lynching him. Then he was killed the next night of course anyway.

Mongoose- we incinerated you, but it was first time it worked on anyone, so Snow and I started to feel bad. When the rez option came up, we all agreed to bring you back.

Thats what I have for now.

After what happened last night we are all likely to get attacked to it anyway. Might as well give it our best shot while we have a chance to.

I'm inclined to trust nev.
Why didn't you feel the same way about Bea?
And why do you get to decide how this "civvie bloc" votes? Why are you a confirmed civvie? Do we really all have targets on our back? Yeah. Everyone does. There are roles that want everyone else dead. So... yeah... those people would be the ones painting the targets and they never had BTSC and thus don't know who each other are, right?
So... why would us civvies want to go ahead and say "HERE WE ALL ARE"?

WTF
How about we lynch like we normally would and stop acting like the game is over today. Calm the hell down people. We won't ahve another night that bloody if you read the roles. At least not tomorrow night.

If he is Cohen... NKs would be preferable, right? That way he doesn't gain a kill ability? Am I understanding the role correctly?
At this point I don't know who Nev is. Cohen is the only logical role I could think of based on what he was claiming. However, he seemed to be implying some other role. What confuses me is why Nev keeps saying there is no alliance of civs. What about the non-ryan civs, then there's the cohen team if its not bad. Either way he came after me for questioning him, so be careful there. That seems more suspicious to me then anything no matter what role he is.

Sad to see everyone jumping on nev's bandwagon. I know everyone feels scared and threatened by the nks, myself included and its hard to know who to vote today. I haven't been playing long, but trusting someone's word with no evidence doesn't seem like a good idea. I guess this is what happens for questioning Nev and his intel, but why did he so vehemently come after me and partly Dom for it?

Re: [DAY 9] Bioshock Mafia

Just checking in and catching up.

The reason I suggested Cohen, was because that was the only role I could think of with btsc with other players, checking dead and also jAck at some point besides being a baddie. Because nEv was claiming intel, I was trying to figure out what role he could be claiming and where such info would come come from. Just a shot in the dark guess, which is why I checked the records of votes for him. However, Nev at some point told me to reread the roles, and based on Doms lms catch, then explained, by nev I thought I might be wrong.

Do you think he is who I thought, an independent , or someone else he was suggesting, cause based on his comment to me to reread the roles, I assumed he was saying I was wrong. What alliance do you nev is? If its more like Dom interpreted that Nev is a lms role, than I would think it in our interest to lynch those roles too since they are the ones running around killing at night. Also, no one actually said you were their lynch target yet. In fact Mata was the only one declaring her intentions so directly and those were for spaghetti. Drawing attention to myself probably was?

It hardly matters though, you don't need to convince the civs to vote for me,
you need to convince the other LMS folks to do so.
I'm not just a civ, I'm seriously no threat to anyone now.
All I've got is data, and its pretty useless data after last night.
I can tell you the roles of three of the dead folks, and I can point out two individuals as members of Ryan's army,
But since there is effectively no longer an alliance of civs trying to lynch the baddie threat
(instead, there is a mob of LMS players trying to lynch the ones most likely to kill them),
None of my info is remotely useful.
Do you not consider the 2nd civ team an alliance? I am confused by this statement. Why are you just sharing this data now? There's not a lot of roles i can come up with that would have so much claimed intel.

I went back and checked and Nev has only received one vote and that was a self vote for a plasmid. He has not received 5 votes, so if he is who I think, he is still independent. I have no idea if he has reached his win goal yet though becuase specific roles must be dead for his win. 2 are confirmed dead for Cohen, so its almost impossible to know. I can't figure out another role he could be and claim so much 'intel' unless he is straight up bad. However, this is starting to sound like a repeat of beajira. 'I not a threat to you, let me help you.'

Dom- i definitely think we still need suspects, just feeling the utter doom and gloom you mentioned when 6 people die in one night. Just feels like why bother if we'll all be NKd in the next two nights. :sigh:

Ok this forum got interesting today. Fontaine has a 90% base rate for kills! So here's the question, do we make an alliance now to help nk ADAM and then wait to lynch? Basically Fontaine is the same as a rogue bot/splicer, last man standing role, but the most effective.

Re: [DAY 8] Bioshock Mafia

Interesting comments Dom. Seemed like you glopped inh, bullz, snow, and df together. I was wondering if there was further insight, but looks like these were just four names you were throwing out there. I don't know df's style, so have to rely on other players for that one. Inh, I will wait on till he can actually speak. As for Snow and Bullz, you keep mentioning the new baddie pool or rogues. I think Devin mentioned this earlier too. After reading all the roles again, it does not actually say last person standing, but rather last bot or splicer standing. This makes me think they are in fact independent roles killing within the team.

MP- Is it correct that the last rogue bot/splicer can win separately as an independent?

Well I think it's pretty clear that a civ killed indi from the post, so someone obviously believed she was bad. It seems nearly impossible to me that they could have been on the same team. If they were, why would indi try to get a brand new teammate killed right after they arrived, especially if they were replacing a deadbeat?

My reread of INH is long overdue, it seems. And I'd still love for Dom to elaborate on his suspicions.
I have no idea of Indi's affiliation, and I"m still a little lost from just subbing in, but just because a civ (who is now not a civ?) thought she was bad, doesn't mean she was definitely. Further, even if Indi was bad, there are still plenty of ways for Bea to be bad.

Mata, (I address you because we were posting on this yesterday), does Ajira's behavior in this game remind you more of Candie or Detective Holder?

LInki Flyin high
These are some good points. That's part of why I wondered which splicer, which bea was surprisingly quick to point out to me was a civ splicer now that I think about it. I was surprised that indi thought she could tell a difference so quickly, but rereading there is a noticeable difference in beajira's defense. I'm leaning in this direction. Inh is a tricky one because I also dont like that hes unable to defend himself today, but I understand people not wanting to wait. Also waiting to hear more from Dom, because calling out several names, some again, needs at least a small explanation and debate.

You are right. I went back and reread. Yeah looks like the others are officially houdini splicer dancers, not just splicer. Whatever that means exactly. So it was a civ kill, before they went rogue.

Re: [DAY 8] Bioshock Mafia

Wow! RIP DH and indiglo. This game changed overnight. I figured we would know if Ryan died, but wow!

Definitely processing this, cause like bea mentioned bots and splicers gone rogue, oh my!

I have no idea who to look at now, but obviously someone thought indy a threat. I was about to say bad, but we dont know if it was a ryan or cohen splicer right? Lots of rereading today.

RIP dex. Wow, you really took on the role. I agree. Scary description for sure, but still sadly civ. We had a big win early on with BWT, but gotta get our heads in the game again.

Hi everyone. I'm officially back now, been casually reading to catch up. Not much to say right now, so I will keep this short. I'll post more after I have organized my thoughts.
I don't know Ace, my Dad's written grammer in English isn't that good. I'm calling your bluff!

Since I don't currently consider bea's slip-up to be major, I am sticking with dex. I would like to hear from inh at some point, and now FH, but considering the number of people on vacation, this might explain it.

Welcome Kate and wb bea! How fun to have active players added into the game.

Also, I love this blast from the past post of Kate's. Yay for fresh eyes willing to read this much. Devin is right, that posting contest was a pain to read tbh, so good luck there.

As for candidates, since GOB has been replaced, and Dex's non-lynch was not due to an unlynchable role, I will keep on looking at dex. I am interested in some of the new discussion on inh and would like to hear more from him before I make any decision.

Russtifinko wrote:Ok, so I finally get the whole "public penance" thing.

Personally, I think we should try to lynch Dex with as big a majority as possible, especially given the manipulation that occurred yesterday. Looking through the roles, there's no civ way he could have survived that.

G.O.B. is still on my radar, but very far behind Dex. I know he was in Florida for the past week, which explains his lack of vote in the resurrection poll, but his actions prior to that were still pretty suspicious to me.
Should have read this more closely. We could go for dex again if it was vote manipulation, but Nev brought up (and I went and reread roles) that several roles are unlynchable or cant be lynched or NK'd the first two times. So the question is do we try again and risk it?

Mongoose wrote:Are you guys on or off the trail of GOB? I hadn't seen him speak much during my hiatus.
Good question and it got me thinking. This was his last post from June 25, almost 2 weeks ago.
G.O.B. wrote:I am voting Llama, Lizzy seems to have fallen out of the discussion somewhat. Hopefully, I haven't raised too many eyebrows. I just had a very busy weekend and hadn't been able to look at the thread since Friday. I am just working on catching up. Sorry I don't have a more sophisticated answer than mob mentality at this point. The shouts at llama seem the loudest.
So on the list for quiet player, GOB is at the top with 6 posts total. I don't really know how suspicious this fact alone makes him, but most of his posts were on June 25 in response to bea. He did keep up voting through July 1, so he has only missed 1 lynch poll, along with 6 other people over the holiday. Definitely worth considering, since he's still voting but not commenting in response to the many questions about him. I think there is still a good chance he's civ, but worth putting on the list for sure.

Linki- In florida? Well thats a good start to explaining last week.

RIP bea, sorry to lose you. Glad to hear you had an awesome day. You were not joking about your role either, civ with no info.

Mata - Good catch. What happened to dex? Definitely something to look into further. Could be influence from any number of roles.

Does Dom seem a little mudslingy to anyone else?
This isn't his first foray into improper your. However, unlike some people (in the shining mafia) I won't vote for someone based on poor grammer. Mostly because I can also be accused of this. However, I am still watching him because of his strange behavior. At least today he voted an actual suspect other people have discussed and not a revenge vote.

Yes about Dom and I find it confusing. I completely understand why boo, bea, and bullz, would try ardently to defend themselves. One would expect that from a civ or a baddie. You assume people dont want to be lynched. However, why Dom is seemingly attacking Nev for suspecting bea, and then attacking Bullz aggressively over bea I am not sure. Rereading Dom's posts, it appears he has been defending bea since llama suspected her. Then there's a friendly bea and Dom back and forth of 'I am watching you, but you don't seem that suspicious to me.' I can think of 3-4 reasons Dom would defend bea as a teammate and BWT's team is only one. Just some curious observations and depending on how bea flips if lynched this would answer several questions.

Yeah, I agree with this. Not a lot has changed, so its a quiet forum again. Also, with tomorrows US of A holiday I imagine many like me will be voting early.
