Re: Tea Drinkers of the World, Unite and Drink Coffee

They made good xmas gifts last year. And of course Civili-teas for the prudish relatives.
They are nice light herbal mixes, but don't knock you over with FLAVOR FLAV if you know what I mean.

I'm feeling just that very slump, myself. Coffee time!
Someone busted out leftover chips and salsa from last week's Fiesta Party (yes, I know that's redundant, but I'm too new to bring that up), so we are engaging in all forms of snackery hedonism at this time.
I just ate quite a lot of chocolate peanut butter soymilk ice cream and it felt pretty hedonistic. Now I want tea! Have I told you all about a local company that makes Profani-teas? They sell varieties called Chill the F*ck Out, Calm the F*ck Down, etc. I want them to make a "Go the F*ck to Sleep" one next. :coffee3:

Re: Tea Drinkers of the World, Unite and Take Over!!

I am drinking Allegro Earl grey with almond milk right now. I feel so decadent. It's a little weak, since I over brewed the first cup, by forgetting it, but I don't care. Yum!

Mongoose, you are such a lady. Now drink your tea dear. :slurp: :pinkiesout:

I posted in the beer and alcohol thread if that helps. :noble: :wine:

I am a big fan of red zinger iced and that's hibiscus based too I think. Yum for tasty honest tea as well. I like Morrocan mint in general though as a hot tea.

I am making a decaf green tea with ginger and lemongrass right now for the first time. The box informs me that "Tea is naturally gluten-free." XD k, thx.

Hiya! I know I haven't been posting much. Also, I hardly recognize anyone with all the minimalism avatars.

Drinking homemade chai now, but forgot about it and overbrewed. :sigh:

So I tried a sample of Earl Grey Lady Blue from Demmers Teehaus today, which I think it's their equivalent of Twinings' Lady Grey, and it was fairly decent. Still doesn't beat the ol' Earl.

Also, my 2nd flush Darjeeling tastes the same as the autumn flush. :overreact:

On the other hand, the milky oolong from Demmer's is absolutely superb.Image

Omg I love the tea smiley. Adding this to the smiley request list!

Mostly my tea brewing is limited to chamomile right now. Then I freeze tea ice cubes for the teething babe. He adores his ice cubes.

I go crazy sometimes when out and about and get a chai, but I hate it when I order an ice chai if they pour it from a box and add ice. :WTF: lame. Also, sometimes it's way too sweet. I had an amazing chai in Portland. Nice and spicy, with just the right amount of sweet, but not so strong that my teeth rotted and fell out on the spot. They have great tea shops out there.

Re: Tea Drinkers of the World, Unite and Take Over!!

^ i always just use one bag or half fill a round metal tea cage (about a teaspoon) <- no idea for amount in Finalnd.

I got some plain chamomile today cause an herbalist friend told me chamomile tea ice cubes are great for teething babies. Turns out teas have gotten a bit fancy and there were onyl two just chamomiles. Everything else was honey chamomile, mint etc, etc.

Have you tried lemon chamomile yet mongoose? (Also did you see the ferret emoticon at RM? i think we need that one for you)

Admit it goosey - it tastes extra good because you liberated it from a b*** who wasn't worthy of either your friend or good tea. ;) :D

Maybe start a Nervous Horse thread? Then its direct to not directed at anyone in particular.

But now that they have, it kinda ruined it right? I am still watching, but the show this season just wasnt as interesting for me. Also, you totally deserve that tea and it should be in a happy home.

Looks like a teasplosion happened in our thread. I thought Vomps and Lizzy knew each irl because she seems to travel a lot and be in europe too. Clearly it would be hard to meet AP since he lives in the middle of the woods far from everyone. Or so he tells us...

Re: Tea Drinkers of the World, Unite and Take Over!!

My MIL is allergic to strawberries and chocolate, so it makes desserts challenging for her.

I am about to enjoy a lovely Peppermint tea before bed. Harney and Sons tea is from Upstate NY and my husband's lives right there and introduced it to us. I consider a special treat.

Also, if anyone is in Boulder, CO at some point we loved the Celestial Seasoning tea tour. They also have a tasting bar where you can try any of their teas. It was so much fun we tried way too many. They give you a tiny cup and the whole tea bag so they were really strong. When we left I was shaking from all the caffeine!

Re: Tea Drinkers of the World, Unite and Take Over!!

I've been drinking mostly herbal tea since I was pregnant at the time. Peppermint, chamomile, but mixed in chai when I felt crazy! A flavorful nice earl grey with milk is my favorite. I always overbrew green tea, so it's often bitter for me. Yuck! Haven't gotten into White tea so much.

Yay for a tea thread!
