Re: [END] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

So it looks like the kill redirected to Devin who survived and you didn't go to the red room till the next day.

Did you and Juliet's realize I was Henderson after that?

Just finished reading all you wrote DH. Wow, awesome stuff. Seriously you should write ebooks for Kindle for funsies. Self-publishing is all the rage these days. (Granted I hear from some that cyber security pays well too....:p)

Did you try to kill me the same night you died? I have to check who it was redirected to.

I felt so bad that my shining contribution to the game was to get you lynched. I was pretty sure from the beginning with your interaction with Llama that you were baddie, but didnt want to bring it up right away since I wasn't sure.

As Henderson, The only threat to me I knew of was lynches and Creeper. I figured as long as I wasn't too suspicious I had a good chance of lasting quite a while. I assumed that if I was targeted and it redirected that baddies would figure out my role and realize I had to be lynched instead. Not sure I was ever targeted for an NK though, so I kept waiting for people to start trying to get me lynched, but they were all civ/Indy lol.

Juliets as usual played an excellent game. I really didnt know about her and she defends herself so well. Lizzy you were so right about DH and I was so trusting for the time being, but so wrong about me. :sigh:

Glad Elo that I went out as the final Creepsplosion of glory at least! :D

Thanks for a truly amazing and complex game MP. I loved my role so much. (No PMs and I couldn't be NK'd)

Should we lynch boomslang first, based on your feelings about his behavior?
What role do you think he has, and how would lynching him again help us win in that case?

Linki mp - interesting!
And I am confused that they would choose her, since she was one of a small pool of suspects.
Still, I suppose the odds she would waste a Rez to kill herself to throw off suspicion are a bit remote,
so I'll pop her up into the probably civ category with DF.
I wonder if maybe Henderson is still around? That would explain the very odd choice of target.
I suppose BB is still unaccounted for, so that might have been the alarm clock going off.

Linki mp again..
Bah. I hate guessing games!
I am out most of the day, so I am just going to remind Nev of this post before he votes.

SVS, I am most surprised by your vote as I thought you might be the one person to know I was possibly civ. My question to you is how come I never got to play your game?

I am not an important civ by any means, but I am civ nonetheless. Sorry if my attempts at discussion make me a baddie, but seriously I was at least trying in the limited time I have right now. Based on my role, which you will all know soon enough, I have been wathcing and waiting for when the lynch bandwagoning might start around me, as a sign of baddies, That is why I am so surprised its coming from NEev and FH, and thats I had the ZOdac speculation that I did. Think about it.

True. But no one seems to be even acknowledging that the possibility (probablility, certainty) that our host is fucking with us exists. And while some people might not know this, some should. like me, like you. The tone of this remark strikes me badly.

Again, i want to vote for you,~ very, very badly. You are setting off every alarm I have. But more than any other game i have ever played, I feel irrelevant, which makes me doubt myself.
I actually feel like this is something I have been trying to say but failing since several posts I walked away from before finishing. I was really counting on Mongoose being bad and hopefully shedding light on Beas as a possible baddie in thàt case. Since the opposite happened that has made me reevaluate for sure. What I really wonder is if we arè just a bunch of civs sitting around trying to find a baddie or two or whether its the opposite and there have been recruits. I don't know who FH, DF, Elo, SD are and only have guess for Bea, Boom, and Nev. and for the confirmed folk who knows if their roles are right at this point or if something happened with rezzing recruits etc.

If Zodac needs to achieve a balanced game then I could see why more civs need to go. And it makes me wonder about those rezzed by Zodac. I would prefer to to be lynched of course, but I am only one person, so we will see. mongoose felt the same and didnt stop us there.

It would be nice if someone makes at least a small case on me to address, if they are leaning there. Basically those of us who haven't role hinted are being punished by being lynched as unknown, rather than baddie. I'd rather at least lynch a Kate voter, than go on nothing.

I cna understand your feeling here. I am definitely starting to feel like everyone can't be who we think anymore or if they are then maybe recruited etc? There were crazayee bTS stuff in Bioshock. I just can't imagine it's that simple. However, I just have no good reads on people and when I thought I did I was very wrong.

There are 11 of us left and based on what people think maybe only to baddies and Cohen, so 9 civs/zodac. That seems like a lot, but with another kill tonight potentially 8 vs 2,3 or more.

The list:

Roles revealed as civ: Lizzy, SVS, BWT

People likely to be civ: Nev, Bea

Likely Indy or bad: boom

Unknowns: DF, ELo, FH, Hedge, SD

Without any evidence saying there's possible recruitment etc I think we should focus on the last 5 people. People seem to be given DF the botd, so I must have missed something there. I am conflicted on Elo given her frustration at the last lynch. Except for being very helpful I have no other inclinations on FH, but haven reread her at all and as other said I don't think there much either way for Daisy.
I didn't get much of a response here, so repost.

I have no read or idea on these last 4 people besides myself. FH made a likely case for why she is not on either team, but the same could be said for me almost, so anything else I am missing? Also, DF is playing exactly like I would expect bad or civv and I've been baddie with him twice. Honestly it all feels like a shot in the dark at this point.

Re: [NIGHT 12] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I have said it before that I would prefer not to role hint given the number of outed civs in this game. There is also one civ in particular, who may have a good guess who I am, and potentially the baddie team as well. As a result I have been carefully waiting to see who starts the ball rolling on a potential lynch for me.

I am as lost as anyone in this game as to where to look next because I felt very good about the case against Mongoose. The baddies have done such a good job getting civs lynched, considering what we think has been really bad luck for them getting killed at night.

I think it Boom is Cohen then we need to be very careful voting for him, but if that seems like the best course of action then I am not totally against it. A wasted lynch gives the baddies another Nk though, so I would also prefer to try and lynch a potential baddie.

It wasn't your moment of doubt for me, it was that I thought there was a very specific civ role Mongoose could be and as a result maybe I was wrong about her as a baddie. Since you weren't thinking she was Percy and SVS didn't either I found myself left with my old thoughts that's she bad. Bea I am interested in this thought right here. Do you still think mongoose had something to do with your rezz? Considering you defended her yesterday but now place her and I as tier 2 suspects I am just wondering. Based on ths statement and some thinking I have been wondering if mongoose is in fact a very useful civvie.

Now that we know it was a tie between Boom and Elo, there are only so many reasons that could have happened. Based on Nevs thought that Percy could have influenced the vote, there are only 3 people that could be: Mongoose, bea, and Elo.

Based on bea statements above if BDH were thomas and his partner Percy had the ability to rezz someone, wouldnt it be likely that person would rezz bea? Only other way I see this working is if bea is Percy. Thoughts?

This would make me reevaluate my stance on Mongoose. Otherwise I will probably vote for her again.
I think goosey rezzed me via a prize. It is how I read her hints. I am not Percy. I do not think she is Percy. I think Percy is very much alive. I was not throwing her under the bus. I am not surprised that the lynch was between Boom and Elo at all. I will have to go over Timmers analysis again and think carefully on my next vote. Don't think I will vote Booms again since BWT still has work to do. Surprised he wasn't the target actually.

birdwithteeth11 wrote:I'm not buying the baddie teams merging thing. In my almost 5 years of playing mafia, I have NEVER been in a game where that has happened. In fact, if someone has been in a game where that's occurred, I would like to know what game it is. Because while I'm sure it's possible, I've never, ever seen it happen before from what I remember.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned it, but I could see bea being Creeper and targeting herself when she had the shield. She survives a nightkill attempt and possibly gains massive civvie cred for it. I used that exact same strategy in Electronic Mafia. DP was on my indy team, and I protected him on the same night when we chose to target him for a NK. One of the baddie teams also happened to target him that same night, and he gained massive civvie cred from that. Enough that we won the game because of it.

So regardless of whether bea had the shield or not, she could still be Creeper for all we know. And I think the only way we will find out at this point is to lynch her. Which is fine since I'm pretty firmly convinced she's bad, and will vote for her until one of us dies.
This is really interesting, so you think it was just that, a story and the same mafia teams. Is tonight a Moriarty kill then we should know soon if he is gone.

Also, the more I think of Elo as Cohen the more the flying under the radar makes even more sense.

Yeah, bea could be Creeper in that theory as well. I just dont know. i am conflicted about the best choice for zodac, because honestly, if he chooses Mongoose or Boom we will not know their role, granted no idea who tied with Elo either.

Looking back at other No lynches, Zodac did not resolve those, so it must be a tie I think.

I am starting to wonder if you are right about bea, BwT. i was just reading the story line and forgot Bea survived kils from creeper and BB, which was the other role I thought she could be. I just cant figure it out at this point.

Re: [DAY 11] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I already gave what I consider a hint to someone about my role in this game, but since we have outed civs all over the place I would prefer not to push further. I have also pointed my initial targetting of VAL, which I would have been unlikely to do if on a team with AP and I also voted for Epi on the other baddie team. While as I said before these are not major evidence of my civihood I think they should be considered in that it is unlikely I am a baddie for either team.

I am very conflicted about this vote as most of us are, but will stick with Mongoose and hope my suspicions were justified.

Mongoose your response is appreciated. I am just conflicted because all your answers sound so reasonable, but then I expect that from you, so . iDK what to do at this point. I agree with SVS that I didn't love Df's response to it, and I just can't tell with Boom and Elo right now.

My list currently:

Confirmed civ: Lizzy, BWT, SVS

Trusting: Timmer, Nev, Bea

Unsure: FH, BF, SD

Distrust: Mongoose, DF, Boom, and Elo

So unless there is some mechanic we don't of where people are gettin recruited or some unknown shenanigans are going on then I am operating under the assumption that the civs are still who we think.

Most likely my vote will be going to Mongoose or DF tonight.

RIPIYWG juliets! Apologies for forgetting. I honestly haven't been doing that for anyone much this game because I keep forgetting and so many people are being rezzed etc.

I don't know what to make of Booms frustration, but it reminds me of how Russti acted as a baddie in Mario. At the time it really made me think he was a civ and doubt myself. So makes me wonder about Boomer, but not enough to vote him now.

Re: [DAY 11] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

Ok I have only made it through 4 pages of Mongooses 8 so far. What I did notice is that she is worried about the PP a lot and bring it up often. Having played Mario with her this didnt seem strange to me but coupled with her voting history it makes me wonder more.

Mongoose:
Day 1 INH
Nevinera (5), Flyin' High (6), Dom (7), Mongoose (8), Elohcin (9), juliets (10), Bullzeye (12), Kate (16), S~V~S (18), Spacedaisy (22) 37%

DAy 2 INH
Mongoose (2), Kate (4), DharmaHelper (5), Flyin' High (6), Bullzeye (7), thellama73 (8), birdwithteeth11 (9), blindfaeth (12), Spacedaisy (14),
Nevinera (15), Elohcin (16), AceofSpaces (18), juliets (19), reywaS (22), DisgruntledPorcupine (24), bea (25), DFaraday (28), Dom (29) 60%

Piranha Plant kill was #11 on K4J non-player.

Night 2 shield:
thellama73 (6), blindfaeth (10), Mongoose (21), Flyin' High (22), birdwithteeth11 (23), juliets (24), Boomslang (25) 26%

Day 3:
DisgruntledPorcupine:
Mongoose (8) 4%

Night 3:
Almost all of us voted for DP to be eliminated except for Bea and FH.
Zodac instead choose Dom who was Bob.

Day 4:
DisgruntledPorcupine
Epignosis (2), Mongoose (5), Russtifinko (7), Bullzeye (8), DharmaHelper (9), AceofSpaces (10), DisgruntledPorcupine (11), juliets (12), Elohcin
(14), Boomslang (15), Vompatti (22) 42%

PP killed #17 which was FH.

Night 4:
Voted SVS and Lizzy too.
Kate:
Mongoose (3), bea (8), Epignosis (15), thellama73 (17), Spacedaisy (20), Devin the Omniscient (31), birdwithteeth11 (34), juliets (43), Vompatti (46), Bullzeye (49), AceofSpaces (57) 19%

Day 5:
thellama73:
DharmaHelper (8), Nevinera (10), Devin the Omniscient (11), Flyin' High (12), Mongoose (13), juliets (16), Elohcin (19), Bullzeye (21), Epignosis(22), DFaraday (24) 37%

Night 5:
AceofSpaces (23 posts, missed no votes):
Lizzy (7), Devin the Omniscient (8), Nevinera (16), juliets (17), Mongoose (18), bea (19), birdwithteeth11 (21), Flyin' High (22), Russtifinko (23) 39%

Day 6:
BigDamnHero:
BigDamnHero (2), Mongoose (10) 8%

PP picked #9 and K4J absorbed it again.

Day 7:
Vompatti:
DharmaHelper (7), DFaraday (10), Hedgeowl (15), Mongoose (16), juliets (20), bea (23), Spacedaisy (24) 29%

Day 8:
thellama73:
Nevinera (5), blindfaeth (7), DharmaHelper (8), Mongoose (10), juliets (11), birdwithteeth11 (12), Flyin' High (13), bea (14), S~V~S (15), Devin the Omniscient (16), timmer (17), Boomslang (18), Elohcin (19), Spacedaisy (20) 70%

Day 9:
juliets:
Mongoose (8) 8%

Of the votes, Mongoose voted with Kate ttwice when Kate was still living, voted to rezz Kate, and voted with Epi several times. What I find interesting is about the PP plant days is she votes early on days where its 11 and 17, but when its #9 she votes #10 right after it was safe. It just indicates to me that she seem to be voting with knowledge.

The one hitch I had examining her record is it wouldnt make sense for her to vote juliets and then her tean NK juliets that same night, so that gives me pause.

Also, I have been quiet for chunks of this game, because I've had less time to post than in the past and was sick. However, I have posted more than Bwt (who called me quiet) and Lizzy. The people who have posted more than me alive ar Mongoose, bea, SVs, and Nev.

However, it has only a 60% success rate of killing its target. Additionally, once in the game at any time, Creeper may explode, killing himself, as well as having a 25% chance of killing four other players. He may not select which players, however, as they will be each of the two players alphabetically above and below him among those currently alive on the player list.
I believe this description means that creeper may at any time *choose* to explode, and I don't think he would at this point, since it would kill him.
Yes,agreed i think it reads a choice. Seeing that his chance is only 25% makes me less concerned. If they were 4 kills with higher success, it would a great way to take more control of lynches towards the end. The alphabet thing is interesting. Would hope teamies aren't all B for Baddie for example.

Agree with Lizzy re Creeper. With the teams merging it seems like a good strategy to wipe out playerstowards the end.

As for the list SVS asked about Timmer is the only one I trust. The others I have no great read on, but really want to look back at Mongoose if I get the time.

Since he was mod-killed and not lynched, I doubt he'd have gotten to choose a role to appear as if he was Catherine Martell. I was attributing BDH's intense defense of bea to the same way that Epi always goes to bat for Elohcin.
I just wasnt sure if that what SvS and Dh were getting st or more that bea was trying to turn it into DH suspicion. I didnt think it would make sense for BDH to do this big personal reveal if he and bea were teamies, but want to understand what other mean. Re: [DAY 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

wow, i completely didnt realize how early this poll ended.

Lizzy, I dont know DH is civ, but he is certainly giving his all for it, and yes those he insisted were no good, were indies killers, so not technically baddies, but they werent going to win with us either. You defended Llama immensely, and yet he was not a civ and couldnt win with us.

When have you ever suspected me of being bad and been right? It's getting to be a bit like Llama calling me out every single game. It's fitting for the championships its true. I have been thinking on why that is and I think its becasue you are inherently suspicious of those seeming too "civv." Hence me, DH, and possibly Mongoose (although I myself have little worries there this time). Is this the case? Are our games just too civ? I apologize if you didnt like my VAL vote reasoning, but considering who AP turned out to be wouldnt you think it unlikely that I would draw so much attention and say I was going to vote for him or Vomps if I were also a Mani/Pedi? I also did not vote to resurrect Kate who we also suspect at this point is a VG Villian. This isnt proof by any means, but I think it certainly shouldnt be ignored either if you're going to keep saying I am bad with no case, but listing my voting record.

Also, all talk of the minion has ceased and then has been no minion kill right? I am going to stick with Bea's susps on bwt and possible minion connections. I will wait to discuss things more openly with Mongoose tomorrow, but reading through polls her votes dont sit well with me and I think she is a VG Villian.

I havent thoroughly read the back and forth between juliets and Dh, but juliets I appreciate your responses. I think many of those points are not a strong against you. Half the game agreed Kate is a champion long-time player and it was sad she couldnt play longer, and voted to bring her back.

I think my issue is I never know if you are bad, so I keep thinking at some point you must be right?? I always have the same issue with Mongoose though and some of her earlier posts made me a bit quizzical if this was her civvie game.

I am curious though DH how certain do you feel on your suspicion aginst juliets?

Lizzy, same question about DH?

There is a very specific role that I have for either Timmer or DH, so I have quite a bit of trust invested in their opinions. I just dont know which one!

What are peoples thought in Devin vs. Bwt? It seems Devin has suspected BWt the whole game, but BwT does not find devin suspicious? These are two others I would like to read, but time is limited for me.

Ok just checked and nowhere is Rumps mentioned. So if by chance he had been killed, then both baddie team only having 2 each would make sense for them to join together. However, since the tie vote with Vomps and Bea, no one has died whose role we didn't know, so the only explanation for the tie I can see is due to Rumps.

Cohen being part of the mix, makes me think he must be someone we voted for, because if not why would he be invited to the party. Or I am reading way to into it..

Linki I think it was Juliet's use of "specific" that Nev analyzed.
