Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12
I seem to remember you getting called out for being quiet early on as well while we were still playing Monty python. Trying to save our sinking baddie ship in Clue took up a lot of my early time as well. I honestly had no idea I was suspected so much, but recruiting Roxy seemed necessary, because she was never going to let it go. at that point we didnt have to do anything because the thread was taking the daleks down. The Cybers had blocked Roxy the night the daleks targeted BR, so we knew she'd been blocked and it was just a matter of time, before they came for her.Long Con wrote:I appreciate that!fingersplints wrote:LC - I thought you were playing a really good game. I was going to target you N3 for it, but couldn't bring myself to do it.
No doubt about it! We just needed to take out Hedge early and it was unquestionably the Civvies' game.MovingPictures07 wrote:LC, I agree you played an awesome game as 1.0 and 2.0. Honestly, I think if you remove the recruiting element completely from the game, civvies would have very likely had a win here.
I have to learn from this game to inform my baddie game, clearly being a little quieter makes a world of difference. Maybe I should miss the first couple of days of every game I play, and spend the next couple 'catching up'.
I didn't see it listed, but what night did you role check me Cybers? That's basically how we knew who some of you were, because bass and snow were sure I was bad.
Without this role I think the civs would have had a chance, but the Master was a worthy adversary plus having MM who would inherit the kill, would have brought the game down in numbers as well.
I had a blast in btsc with my teammates and loved our intense plotting and scheming. We had excel charts that changed every day for all kinds of scenarios for end game. It was a very fun group of people to be bad with and I loved our hodge podge gang of Dalek, Cybers, Strax, Wilfred, Martha, and the Doctor.
Linki keys is also my new favorite person. Just sayin'.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12
Ah I had forgotten that BR's statement was what convinced us. How cruel it was have used Dom to kill her then.
I owe a big thank you to Chris actually for my continued survival. His conviction that I was not the recruiter because I voted last for MM and secured his lynch really helped. I would say that after the way Chris completely fooled me as the serial killer in SFU and toyed with me all game that we are even. Mm being rezzed and pretending he was recruited continued the charade. We saw no reason to enlighten anyone either.
I spent three days playing a computer in chess trying to get a better "losing" result than MP. Turned out he didnt have time to play anyway, but I finally beat the game with 20 minutes to spare. It was a well earned recruitment of the Doctor.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12
Big thank you to Bea and BWT for this awesome and amazing game! I loved the game, my role, and my teammates. I am sorry it is over because I will miss btsc with such an awesome group.
I was incredibly lucky with my first recruits and that really set-us up well from the beginning. I was so sorry to lose Roxy so early, she was a huge help in the beginning plotting and getting us to the win. She pinpointed so many things accurately in this game and I was so lucky to have her suspect me.
The TH lynch was a result of last minute thinking that he was the Master, and we used zeeks lynch switch prize. We were so bummed when he flipped civ. Simce we knew MM wasn't our recruit, we were able to look at Epi voters and narrow down who might be the Master. TH had missed the vote, but that led us to redirect Dom's action to BR. It was another stroke of luck, which is how we found him out, but we spent days trying to figure out how to take him out or recruit, since he had played such a brilliant game and no one suspected him.
I have more thoughts, but back later.
Linki I answered that here

I'll be glad to have your role gone, but your playing this game was outstanding.
And on that note, I think we're getting close to a civvie win. Just need to get rid of the Cybers after this, I think.
I think you are right about that, tbh
MM also wasn't recruited by the recruiter. So, yeah Chris, you were wrong all along.
Looking forward to all the endgame discussion. This is such an amazing game!

I would agree LC. That is the only thing I can think of that would make sense in NKing zeek for the Cybers. If Dom is the Master though I really can't see him targeting zeek for revenge. it just doesn't seem like Dom's style to me.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
I remember that all too well and completely understand. I think based on the role of the Doctor and his searching for companions that is almost impossible to prevent. It is quite like Aapje's circle of trust you are right, until we took him out ( ). I agree with your view on role hints and apologize for my role in this as well. It didnt affect me really this game and I honestly didnt think about it as many others didnt either. I applaud your choice though.Dom wrote:I'll check in tomorrow. I must get back to work and sleep.
However, on the subject of role hinting--
I really hate it. I really, really hate it. I just really hate it. Always have. Always will. There has been an absurd amount of role hinting and outing in this game and, to be honest, for those who either don't get it immediately or do not feel comfortable (and for baddies who can't really role hint) it kind of ruins the game. I don't care if this is construed to be a baddie whining (It's not, but I discussed this with my team in a previous game... the last LOST game on RM), but it's honestly not fun to me. It completely demoralizes a large group of players and it really isn't fun. In that LOST game, my team only lost because some players were essentially forcing people to role hint and out themselves and if they didn't, they were lynched.
How fun is that?
Not very.
So, no, I will not role hint. I will not do that. I will not do what I am completely against.
I will say that you will hate the result of my lynch. I am not the Master. I am not a Cyber. I am not recruited. You will not like my lynch.

Snow Dog - MP supports Hedge but hasn't vouched for her.
I'm comfortable with my vote for Hedgeowl. Y'know how some people, when accused of lying, can't help but smile, even laugh? Like they just can't contain how funny it all is? That's what I get from Hedgeowl. Like she's over there smirking, giggling, enjoying fooling us.
Smirking and giggling don't really seem to work together. Maybe smiggling, or girking?
This is me smiggling then.

Bass. i havev read his posts and i don't see it. He could be bad and if he's lynched I hope you are right. Not my top prority though But i hardly know him so maybe i am not seeing the case. think I pkayed with hi once on another site.

Chris, you were influential in the lynch on Sabie, the case on Bass, but keep going with ideas and sometimes people will disagree with you. That should be expected. It's definitely not personal and I think you have come up with some valuable ideas.
I think the math you and LC started is great and should continue, but as LC said, he was just getting started and people can keep building on that. No need to knock it down.
In light of this lynch with no result, it definitely looks like Bass has some high value. I think it makes the most sense that he is Cyber, rather than the Master.
i am still sick and having a hard time focusing on reading these long texts, I hope to be back up and running tomorrow or the next day. Sorry for the lack of focus.

Alright, I think I understand everything going on currently and while I applaud others finally showing some attention to DF, I am going to stick with my Bass vote after that lynch switch. There's a chance he could be the controller and therefore not NK'd. If DF is likely the master, then I think I will let the kills next Night target him since that might be more effective. He has already been the target of Strax once and the Cybers and Strax could easily take him out tonight if that were the case.

All I can say Bass is that you are wrong about me. You didnt give me much to work with either in defense, since you feel I am bad, but haven't presented any evidence. I tend to prefer vote analyzing though when possible and you, Snow, and DF are those that crick my brow as sabies teammes currently. After the last lynch and switch I see no reason to wait either. I am interested in looking at DF again and Snow, but for today Bass it is.

Chris, do you remember in SFU when lorab was lynched with one vote, because the baddies ended the day early and used a switch? They did it at the time to make it look like I was lying about my role. There are always crazy game mechanics at play is what I mean and speculation only takes us so far.

LINKI @ MM: But why even put a vote on him like that? Jesus, if it's a warning vote, 30 minutes before the poll ends, for a guy who hadn't been in the thread for 7 hours, how is he going to see it when the poll goes away at the end of every lynch.
"Oh yeah, by the way TH, MP voted for you"
It just doesn't add up.

I put a sole vote on Dom earlier in the game, if the switch had happened then I'd be in the same situation as MP and SD.
Why has nobody considered that this switch could have been a prize? I never heard back from the hosts about the poetry contest.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 9
Ok, I am missing something? Couldn't it have been anyone who switched the lynch? If the save was for Bass, it doesn't have to be Snow does it? Although it is looking more and more like they are possible teammies. I think a repeat of today's lynch seems like the best strategy though first.

This would be a very different game if everyone took theories as stated fact. I won't name names, but some people change their mind every post. Do you mean specific theories or just in general?Metalmarsh89 wrote:In this quote pyramid, I posted a BIG capitalize IF, which means I'm being hypothetical.Hedgeowl wrote:Yep, I did it all for the civ cred.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Civvie credibility of course. You think Hedgie gave the player she recruited, the vote that got him lynched?
I don't understand this strategy at all. We know you were recruited, and now you are saying yes this person here recruited me and then lynched me for the civ cred? Is that right? It feels like you are essentially proving I am not on the recruited team, which again doesn't make any sense to me.
I think y'all are just taking everything stated as fact (not just from me).
I am voting DF again for now. As keys rightly noted, there is the chance that he is the cyber controller, and he also voted 2nd to last for Sabie. He's playing a very quiet careful game so far and I think he might be cyber.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9
I will be looking again at DF, snow, and possibly bass as possible Cybers for today's vote. I think it unlikely that Epi is cyber at this point.
i am sick right now, so I will be checking in, but maybe not as sharp as some have come to expect.
Linki I know LC. It's either the stupidest or smartest strategy ever.

Actually thats a good point Chris. I hadnt paid enough attention to the lynch part. I just assumed thats how he came back.
Linki it was Mata who nabbed you from Nev, but she still lost. That was a most epic win for Devin and Daisy too. If i knew then what i do now i would have started a separate chat immediately. Lol. It was one of my favorite btsc games ever though that was the saddest part.

I actually didnt mean just me there, but the thoughts i had as well on those voters who didnt vote for Sabie. I agree now that DF doesn't look any better surviving, but I definitely think the odds of Cybermen being amongst her non-voters is high. I will be looking at DF still, but also Snow and others.
Linki well ok then

I thought your post about Chris was sarcastic.
Due to his strong ability as a hypnotist, once in the game he can force every night action that night to be randomly redirected to someone other than the original target. This is up to and including kill attempts.
