Re: [DAY 5] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I'm going to pull the trigger so as to not spread the vote anymore and just go ahead and do it. I feel the case on Llama is more fact-based than the one on BDH, which is Hunch-based.

I must temporarily defect from Animal Sanctuary Squad and vote for Drama Llama.

I KNOW RIGHT? I was beginning to believe him until he came off suuuper defensive about my mild comments about the mofo grace period. Red flag, red flag.
Here is the post I was talking about Bea, where I mentioned my beginnings of a BDH ping.

HOWEVER, in retrospect, it's obvious that Devin was referencing DP as being literally prickly like a porcupine. I did not read properly and assumed he meant BDH's defensive report (which happened right around the same time).

Yet my response "to Dev" still accurately depicted my feelings.

I intend to make a well researched, well-informed vote tomorrow, provided I survive the night.

This is the post I was referencing. Emphasis added by me.

Why would he not survive the night? He's not been participating as much as normal (for which I argued he should get temporary clemency) but he's not out there digging up the big baddies (other than DH, who I refuse to believe is non-civ) or making his normal cases on people that would get him on their radar. Him being completely AWOL is not going to make them want to NK him over some of our more vocal players, of which there are many.

Why would he add that in? It really bothers me.

Re: [DAY 5] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I think Llama is acting a bit rogue and I'm nearly inclined to vote there (especially after he said he'd do something or rather on Day 6, "if he was still alive." -- That's the kind of needless qualifier I think he'd jump all over me on (similar to what happened in BadgooseGate, the last speed mafia game we were in together, which has now wrapped)),

but (and that's a pretty big but) I am still squirrelly about BDH's prickly response to some conversations 2 days ago. I commented on it at the time, about how unsettled I felt. I am still favoring that for today.

I think we've caught a baddie BWT. Someone let me know if I'm getting tunnel vision on that though. However, if DP really is Zodac, he's probably an even bigger priority for now. And I think Elo and bea should be covered.
Exactly, I think cost-benefit analysis on that one is much more Pro. Meaning DP. I went through about 5 or 6 different theories yesterday (and I like yours above a lot too) and more of them are nefarious for DP than innocuous.

Wait, why would two days in a row be a bad thing? Presumably, days are what give civs the upper hand against all the night-killing baddies. Run this by me again.
It wouldn't be a bad thing for us in of itself because it would give us two shots at the lynch. The implications could be bad though if DP was this role, and we'd only know the day after today's lynch (so Day 5). But then I got straightened out by Nev, et al. Re: [DAY 4] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I'm leaning toward a DP vote as well for all those reasons.

I'm looking through the roles to see which players he could be, based upon the switcharoo. Initially, I thought he might be Beggars Banquet, but that player is not allowed to use the switch on himself.

In sum, I think he could have been protected by Big Daddy. That would make sense, wouldn't it? DP has gotten a rep for not being very active lately, and if you were on a baddie team with him, wouldn't you want to protect him since you wouldn't know how much he'd be online?

Here is the description for Big Daddy:
• Big Daddy (Bouncer) - [Bioshock] – Is mentally conditioned to protect one of his teammates under any circumstances, guarding them from harm. At the very start of the game, the team selects the player to bond to Big Daddy (Bouncer). If any character attempts to nightkill Big Daddy's target, Bouncer absorbs the kill attempt. Bouncer is harder to kill than most living creatures due to its thick armored suit; as such, it has an automatic 50% chance of surviving NKs. Starting Night 2, Bouncer targets a player of its choice with its drill, which has an 85% chance of killing its target. After using its drill, the Bouncer must take two nights to recharge its energy before another brutal attack. If Big Daddy is busy protecting on the night he is supposed to kill, he skips the night, and tries the following night instead.
I think Big Daddy may have bounded to DP. Any thoughts? I would like some feedback before I vote.

I don't think their team would be missing the pm - even if the player is not showing up, their team would be picking something for them.

Re: [DAY 4] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

Looks like Nev may have blocked something? Or intervened in some way. I'm a bit leery of reading too much into the post.

I love the thought of Vomps dressed as a ninja.

Re: [DAY 4] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

Dealing with the blowout of Dom's death (ya know I love ya, but glad to see your role gone, hoss!) is a bit tedious and I wasn't in Twin Peaks, so maybe older vets can shine some light on this.

Here is the role description en totale:
• Bob – [Twin Peaks] - Wow, Bob, Wow. On even nights, can possess someone. That person will join his team and they gain BTSC. Bob himself cannot kill, but his minions can, unless they are under suspicion. Bob's minions collectively can NK someone every night, unless they receive at least one vote. To win, Bob and his minions need to outnumber everyone else. Minions can still use their NP, and even have BTSC. If Bob is killed, only his minions remain.
So Bob is dead, but the minions can still use their night power, which is a NK (unless one of us voted them that day). And they still have BTSC. But no more recruitment. There's only been one even night, so Bob has one minion max (if he didn't get blocked, etc). Looks like it would be very hard to win with that recruitment win condition now that Bob has bit it.

Let me know if you see any fallacies with my logic above.

@ Host - Can that minion(s) still win with his/her original win condition?

Feces on funnel cake, that's a lot to process.

DP - what do you think about what's been occurring over the last few days? Got any pings?

I cannot imagine this being anything less than a fatal punishment. In Bioshock, >SpaghettiEverywhere missed four votes. Does anyone remember >SpaghettiEverywhere Everywhere?
Was that the lynch poll with all options listed as Spaghetti Everywhere?

BWT - What do you think of Llama's suspicion (and resulting vote) of DH?
