What I don't understand is that I was called out for trying to waste a lynch opportunity when I explicitly stated that I was leery of doing so and checked with you all to see if it was really wise.
I can't believe you all think I hate my cat.

It's okay. I think there may be more baddies left than we reckoned. I am not, which is why I brought it up because of that concern. I feel that is a bit word-twisty of you to even say that when my last post is clearly showing wariness of wasting another day.
I even swore on my cat that I'm good.if you are truly good, and not Martell, help me look elsewhere. If not Boom, who?

I"m okay with voting Boom. Because if he survived because he's McGuyver, it means Penny is still alive and the lynch won't occur, so it's not like we will lynch a civ for information.

Re: [NIGHT 11] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Lizzy - I did that because I saw that she was still online and wanted her to wait while I looked it up and answered the question. I had totally forgot you had died and been brought back. This game has been going on for over a month, so not every aspect is going to be at the forefront of my mind. I'm a civ team of 1.Lizzy wrote:
2. Goosey - I'm just so baffled by her actions, I have no idea what to say. People might have missed this. What her insanified post says is that in Shawshank Llama accused her of having slipped here. I didn't pay too much attention to that at the time, but ended up voting for her after she built a very bad case against me. Of course, she was bad. My bringing up DH's post was to demonstrate how hard he is trying to convince us that there is no way he has teammates to tell him what Thomas' role implies, so he alone had to go to the first page and check. If I understood correctly, I may have been right about DH. So Goosey points that out, and what does she do some hours later? The exact same thing. Goes to the first page to check what role I am, despite if being common knowledge by now. Let's say she really didn't know. Why does she have to post that to let us know she's clueless and has no team mates to tell her? Then we all know the discussion when Vomps first survived. And now what does she do? Says she'll wait until everyone has voted to see if she has to save herself, yet votes for Boom when there were still 6 people left to vote saying, 'oh well, looks I won't have to save myself'. WUT After reading her reply after I voted for her, I felt incredibly guilty about it and started to have second thoughts. Well done there!

I get her frustration because she can't help what he does or not. She has seemed extra busy lately, so I get why she's seemed more quiet. Plus, not everyone tends to talk nonstop like me (although I can't imagine why).
And her reaction makes me SUPER glad I didn't vote her. I can't imagine her having that reaction if she was bad. She said that when 4 people had already voted her.

And for Mongoose, I don't buy the part about the timing of her votes being dumb luck. But on the other hand, I can see her going along with other players she trusts (I've done that a lot in the past and I've tried really hard the last few games to stop doing that and going with my own ideas). My problem with that though is that 2 of the 3 people she claims to have trusted (DH and Epig) are 2 I do not feel good about anymore.
.
Also, yeah, I trusted Epi at first. I mean very early on. I got a big ole whiff of that baddie brew early on though and then governed myself accordingly.
Not sure about DH, but that's irrelevant now too. Although I never did feel too icky about him, as I said earlier.

Well, there's only 2 votes cast, so maybe I won't have to vote to protect myself. If I don't, I feel that out of my mild pings, Boomslang is the only one who is approaching tepid levels of heat. Therefore, barring any sudden revelations, I'll consider that. Further, S~V~S seeming to hone in on him too was somewhat corroborative for me since she is El Primo Baddie Hunter. Gonna wait and see what else develops though, to be honest.

Re: [DAY 11] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Hi Guys!
Lizzy - Unfortunately I didn't intend for it to be an indie hunt, I swears. It just kinda happened that way. I did suss out (in addition to several others who did the same) the Vompire baddy switch. Then I also abstained from voting BWT because I was leaning heavily civ on him, which is why I voted Juliets, even though my pings on her were mild (comparable to how I feel about my mild pings currently).
Of course, in hindsight, I would have sunk my vote for FH rather than Kate. It was pure speculation and feelings at that point. Whomever it was that first ferreted out who it looks like she is was very astute. I am still very impressed by that one.
In RE: Piranha Plant. I was literally so paranoid that entire time it would eat me. I was also terrified during Mario. There were actually a lot of other times I was feeling super edgy about it and didn't post my feelings, so I can imagine how you'd be feeling know if I had! Honestly, it's just one of those things that I feel is Just My Luck. Like getting to the faculty Valentine's Day party right as the last lemon cupcake was being snarfed.
It's one thing to be errantly lynched and then there's a bit of dignity in being NK'd, but dying by plant is possibly the most ignoble way to go (looking forward to your Lil Shop of Horrors, sug!)
In RE: timing of votes. I was super paranoid and voting very strategically based upon which numbers I thought would be not likely picked. It makes me feel good that you guys think my voting record/suspish history is of such a nature that I'm 'informed' but I'm not - but some of it is luck too.
In RE: Voting the Same as Epi. I do this occasionally. It gets me in trouble on Rev more than here for whatever reason. I tend to follow an analytical um more vocal player when I'm on the fence. If I'm already suspicious about a person and one of these very analytical players votes for them, I feel validated in my suspicions and will then go ahead and vote them. Similarly, this happens when I have several suspicions but then I am dubious that maybe my main suspect will get the axe, so I try to lump together in order to try to avoid spreading the vote out. These players, by the way, are DH, SVS, and Epi.Maybe I should become more confident in my game, but remember I am still relatively new to this tomfoolery. I like Lizzy's logic a lot and that's been hard this game since I trust her and her judgment but she suspects DH heartily, who I do not.
Sometimes I feel I am too soft for this game because I feel soooo bad when I'm a part of lynching a civilian. Seriously, I could probably list every civilian I've errantly lynched. Isn't that ridiculous?
Anyway, this is long, so I will wrap this up like a burrito but I will scan to see if I missed anything else you asked me.

If I had to pick someone on that list (and obviously I do in the next 24 hours), I'd say Boomslang? It's Day 11 and I feel he's been chronically UTR. Is he usually a low poster? I get his methodology mixed up with Bullzeye, honestly, which is silly since they are from two different countries.

Anyone that I was even mildly suspicious of is now dead. I don't even know where to begin.

I don't think I stated this clearly above, but I definitely feel pretty good about Lizzy. I was making arguments both ways, but like I said, I feel pretty good about her unless something super persuasive comes along.

"Oh, and in addition to some duct tape, take this too." It threw pads of paper and pens at all of the champions. They looked confused.
"Use it however you wish. That said, if you write a story, a very compelling, creative MacGyver-esque story, starring yourself as the lead character and perhaps some of your fellow champions in whatever roles you see fit, you may find yourself walking out of this place with a prize!"
"This is not a trick prize either! It's actually pretty neat!"
The champions were intrigued. Pens started clicking and hands started writing. For good reason.
It is still Day 7.
If you want a prize, PM your host with your story by the end of the day period.
Dead and living players can participate in this contest!!

I do! I'm leery about saying too much. I'm confident Bea has no idea how she was rezzed, if that helps at all.juliets wrote:Mongoose, do you have a theory as to what that could be?Mongoose wrote:Sorry to see you go! I really enjoyed finally getting to meet you!blindfaeth wrote:

Re: [NIGHT 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Okay, hmm. Thanks for the clarification, host.
I have assumed for a long time that she eats something. What if she ate something that caused her to die? Then it would still read as she killed herself, right? (This is directed at players only, since it is speculation).
I wondered if Dev's role could be causing some of the chaos, but maybe not now based on Socky's clarification:
• Lucy - [Sgt. Pepper's] – A woman every bit as mysterious as she is beautiful. Each night she will lead someone through an acid laced vision. The effects of this will be a surprise to be interpreted only by the person she targets.

Re: [NIGHT 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Nev - Couldn't there be a switcharoo type role out there? That can change around players' targets? If so, that could have affected bea, causing her to kill herself. I also thought she might be a role that involved eating. OR: there's a role that redirects one player's action onto another. We figure, due to Dev's really great articulation btw, that there might be an unlisted role (best evidenced by the fact that there is +1 role in the Red Room. If so, maybe that person has a switcharoo or redirect power.

Re: [NIGHT 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Mycroft Holmes, of course. On one hand, that's a really good role to pick if you are Martell and lynched because it's completely innocuous and unable to trace that you are lying (kinda). Unlike Thomas who has 3x vote, so it's easy to tell if you are that person or not in hindsight. Also, she wouldn't want to pick a civilian who could be taken over to the other side like Jack. So it's a real safe choice.
However, I do remember that when she was lynched, I thought it made sense for her role to pop up as "Mycroft" because I figured she had saved INH from purgatory that one time. I've thought she was civ all game, honestly. But I'd listen to strong arguments in opposition as well.
