Re: [Day 7]: Film Noir - Game Over

^I got some booze and used it on you. Hope that helps. :\

Huzzah team! I'm a bit bummed that Bea didn't show up. I was very curious at how she'd react to baddie me posing as her trying to convince civ Nev to vote for her. The initial plan was to try to get Vomps to vote with us, something that didn't involve my going: 'Oh hai, Vomps! Be a darling and vote for Bea ktnxbai!'. That obviously didn't work as he showed up and voted Nev before I could do anything about it, so we had to change the strategy. I was very worried that we were super obvious, especially since Matt and Vomps who possibly paid attention for less than two seconds had figured us out. Also, sorry SVS for going after you, butt I did warn you I was bad. :p

Re: [Day 7]: Film Noir.

Ture. :sigh: I'm surprised at how well they've played it. :\ Consider this though: I had a couple of great opportunities to throw two theoretical teammates under the bus, Dom in particular, and I would never miss that for the world. So unless you're with Bea, I think you might actually be in danger.

So VL must be franz and cody?
I'm a bit lost here, but I don't see good odds for us :-\
Really? Well then, this can only mean two things: you're either on the same boat with Bea, Franz or... she's got you right where she wanted. :mafia:
If Matt was right, it looks like you're not even trying anymore. But looking at Vomps, I'm inclined to take a little gamble here. Whatever the case is though, Bea is the common denominator. Without revealing too much, let's just say that I don't agree with your first statement. Let us also observe a few things:

1. Cody stopped killing since Bea died.
2. Franz has secrets.
3. I'm not so sure Lydecker has been targeted at night yet.

Here's what I think: Bea is Cody. Franz is the role that currently holds the NK, not the entire baddie team. It is very easy at this point in the game to target a teammate who you know you're able to bring back (secrets k, plus it would make sense for the game's balance) to gain credibility and play the Lydecker card especially if Franz is in no real danger. I'm voting Bea, and since Vomps has already made up his mind, I can't convince him to join me, but if you're the other civ, maybe we can prolong this a bit.

Re: [Day 6]: Film Noir.

I'll go ahead and vote Timmer. His defense and the fact that he 'holds to his vote to save himself' when he has no votes, does sound like a cornered baddie to me.

Nevinera wrote:I was planning on voting timmer again, because he's the only one with evidence against him, but I'm interested.
Why did you think Timmer was an indy and SVS a baddie? Was there some interaction there that provoked your interest?
Or is this one of the 'feels'?

I'm not used to you agreeing with me, and it's making me feel a little steered.
It all started with this semi-joking observation. It then began to actually make sense and I took it into consideration when Wilder killed K4J. Timmer had been the only one who voted for him the day before he died. Like I said, I wasn't feeling all warm and fuzzy inside in regards to K4J, and at the time I thought it was a good choice for an indie kill. Looking back at it all, it does fall into place that SVS went after K4J. He didn't have a very good voting record, with the exception of that odd vote for Dom, and it did look like he was trying to save a teammate when there was that tie between Roxy and SVS.

As for SVS, I do not trust people who label me as a civilian or try to buddy up to me. Not on day 1 anyway. She has been inconsistent as far as Dom was concerned and the fact that someone as dangerous as non-baddie SVS was kept alive for so long, and that I was kept alive for so long.

Also, I don't rely on feels, because history has shown that mine are not very good. I do seem to rely on the metagame quite a bit, which may not necessarily be the best strategy. :\ And I don't see how I was agreeing with you, except now about all evidence pointing towards Timmer.

Re: [Day 6]: Film Noir.

Nev, seriously? There are two active killer baddies on the loose and now we're going to look for some helpless indie who might very well be dead at this point? I believe SVS really thought K4J was bad and frankly, I wasn't feeling great about him either. To me, that vote for Dom is meaningless. If I were his teammate, I would have gladly planted that last nail on his coffin to make myself look more credible. And even if we don't know the indies' win conditions, they'd still want to get rid of a couple of baddies to either look good, or make sure the baddies don't get them first. I thought Timmer was one of those indies, and SVS the rotten one, but by the looks of it, it might be the other way round. So unless something interesting happens, my vote will most likely go to Timmer. I'll trust SVS post mortem. :p

SVS, that ghost smiley is amazing. It should be officially added k.

Re: [Day 4]: Film Noir.

Heh! silencing for cursing! I'm not sure what to think of Timmer. I haven't played too many games with him, but we've been baddie teammates in AG and despite not being very active he was pretty much all over the place, like here. In the Champs game, he was certainly more organised and made a lot more sense. Sooo... maybe he's an indie? :p

Anyway, I'll stick with SVS. Trying to manipulate me with niceness and being extremely cool and calculated about it... :mafia: Buddying up to me indirectly by labeling me very early in the game... :mafia:

I'm trying not to look at people's voting records though. Some might jump to help their teammates, others throw them under the bus without blinking to gain credibility (myself :mafia: )

Re: [Day 3]: Film Noir.

SVS - that may be ture for 'the old day', but with this one, I'm thinking in the context of this particular game. As far as I can see, Keyes doesn't have any secrets and is not protected against NKs, so I can't really see him running the show.

Turnip Head wrote:I disagree Lizzy. Leaving statements for the LD gives him options to check. Otherwise he would have nothing to check. He can use the info he receives without outting himself. It will let him know which people to trust and which people are untrustworthy. Would you rather people not leave him statements, and negate his power completely? :mafia:
I think there's a bit too much emphasis on the poor guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if the baddies used this as a distraction. Like I said, the fact that he knows that someone is bad or not does not really help because they can't do too much without outing themselves. And I don't see what's the point of statements like 'I'm a civ' is because it doesn't tell me personally anything about said person, and I have a vote to cast, it will probably tell the polygraph (ONE person) what their alignment is IF they decide to check that thing, not to mention the fact that we don't even know if he can check that kind of statements. The baddies can come in and post 'oh look at me I'm such a nice civ' knowing that it will probably make them look good AND that the polygraph guy can't do a lot about it without risking getting killed the next night.

Also, it's not negating his power. Leaving him alone to pick on proper slips or odd statements would be wiser.

So yus! Dom, who 'accidentally' voted for me and was one of the first who started this confession trend, was rotten. Now the other person who I had the feeling was trying to put a tag on yours turely as a non-baddie, and thus making me vulnerable during the night, plus now has a whole list of statements, is SVS. :mafia: And you're not looking too good yourself, son. :mafia:
