DH, duuuuuuude! That was fantabulous! 'Tis an honour to have had such an important role in Moriarty's master plan. I really wished the merger were real though. Like I wished INH's programme were real. Btw, in case you haven't figured it out already, I saved you on Day 1 k. I thought you were harmless and pretty entertaining.

Re: [END] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Alex, mate, I just wanted to say that hosting a small game is exhausting, and there's two of us, but holy fu! You're mad! I have no idea how you do it. Alone too. (So Russti, good luck!) It was an amazing game and my first win as a civ too. Outed, but still.
I loved finally working with the other civs and Zody. Nev did that role justice... and more. Thanks to him I was not completely and utterly clueless like I normally am. Nev, if you ever felt in danger of being lynched, one of my lynch saves was put aside specially for you. I feel bad about Goosey (I really thought you were bad), and Hedgie, and Timmer - I had to decide between you and SVS to whom I should give the Shield, and chose SVS because she had been targeted before and felt she was in more danger. And that's when you got NK'd. :\
Some surprises in the baddie teams. Juliets, I am astounded you were Fetus, and that was one bold and risky move with your getting NK'd. DH, sorry for picking on you for so long. I can't even imagine how annoying that must be. But now with the roles revealed, it looks pretty neat.
And woohoo! I think I pretty much defended every single indie in this game. Maybe not so much with Bob, but I still tried to buddy up to him to recruit me.

Re: [DAY 14] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Man, when I first saw the poll, my heart almost stopped a bit and thought: holy shite! I've blown everyone up!
But I don't want to have to choose. :\ Two completely different play styles, two awesome players: bea really did justice to a role I could not handle in the original game and went through a lot and still managed to survive; and boom was managed to carry the burden of such a complex indie role without drawing too much attention on himself.
Imma gonna randomise k. You both deserve to win. [/cheese fest - butt it's ture]

So yus, we either blow each other up (ifyouknowwhatimean), we blow ourselves up, we blow up some of the people who decided not to open the package, orrrrr if we all decide to sit back we'll all explode and... I have no idea.

You guys, I'm not sure I'm buying this whole SD thing because that's just bad baddie strategy :\ She could be BB, but I somehow don't see her accepting a NK offer from a random butler (unlike myself )
Also, should we have some sort of package strategy? I played the Avant game on PA and naturally, I opened mine (although I think that one was a poll option) and kinda died.

Re: [NIGHT 12] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Percy can only 'borrow' civ abilities. The only civ with a NK at the time, was either MacG who found Penny or Penny with a found and then dead MacG. Percy's NK failed because he targeted a civ. MacG's NKs don't affect civvies. Meatboy resurrects himself after he's targeted. He didn't that night because there was no need to. He died twice since and BWT confirmed he still has two lives left. So I think MacGyver found Penny. Why haven't we seen any kills from them, there are plenty of possibilities.Flyin' High wrote: As for Percy's NK, I thought that came from Delbert. Am I getting this confused? That kill couldn't have come from MacGyver because we'd have been seeing an extra night kill for awhile now.

Spot on with the list.Nevinera wrote: Here is my trust list:
Trust: SVS, FH, Lizzy, BWT, Nevinera, Bea
Most likely Civ: DF
No Idea: Elo, Hedge, SD
Probably not Civ: Boom
I would be ok with voting for any of the three in 'No Idea', but I think after rereading the three of them, I like Hedge best for Creeper.
No evidence in the thread, just a general instinct. (And mine have not been really good historically).
I also think that that last comment about Zodac by Elo seemed maybe a little *too* clueless, like she might be trying to pretend that she doesn't know what's going on.
And there is absolutely nothing on SD. She's not putting her neck out or anything, but I suspect she never does.
Blank slates make me nervous >.<
I agree about Hedgie. Historically, whenever I back off someone I suspect and tag as a baddies because they have a very good defense, they are revealed as bad at the end of the game.
As far as SD is concerned, I only find her pingy because of gut feeling. I thought if Vomps were bad, he'd most likely be on the same team with Daisy for some reason.
And with Elo it's still
Linki - I think he might be still alive and Ithink Percy's NK came from MacG.
Elo, unless he's Fetus and Meatboy finds him for the last time tonight, I still say Nay!

I don't think either of those I have a role attached to have role hinted (or maybe they have, I couldn't see a hint if it hit me in the face; or if I did I'd take it as a baddie move) - it's more like a combo of night action results and interaction with other players.

Well poop on a grenade. I had her at Penny/MacG for a few seconds, but then someone I thought might be one of the two, phrased something in such a way that killed it for me. MacGyver should try and have a successful kill tonight if they're still alive.

Hedgey

The thing with Bea is that BDH basically confirmed she was civ. And think about his role. Ugh! I can't help but feel a bit responsible for Timmer's death, or more like, I could have avoided it... SVS should know what I'm talking about.
Either way, I vote to NOT vote Boom today.
This is very interesting. I took that N9 post for what it was/seemed and thought we were dealing with a kind of baddie ELP, with a new and improved baddie Cohen recruited by Moriarty. Do you think Cohen is still a proper independent who hasn't decided what his allegiance is? Unless, the supergroup did happen, with the main killers from each team keeping their successive NKs, and if the Manipulators are indeed gone, then what's it to the VG's to throw Cohen under the bus knowing he'd survive, and either frame him as Fetus or convince us to waste a lynch on him while they get to kill one of the trusted people the next night?Nevinera wrote:I think he's Cohen. Which is not exactly "bad", but probably needs lynching.
No rush on that though.

And Bea, with the confirmed civs, it's because of the Martell role. I'm so curious to see who kills tonight, because there is this possibility that the Manipulators are kaput. No Moriarty reveal the previous nigh: this can mean that 1. he abstained/was not around; 2. but if he was not around he had Martell to do that for him - that didn't happen; 3. one of them is dead; 4. they're all dead.

Re: [NIGHT 11] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
^ That looks like an interesting analysis, Timmer, but I cannot focus on it atm, so I'll stay out of it and let the others judge.
Some observations though:
1. Elo's meltdown. I've seen both frustrated civs (MP) and baddies (SVS, myself) do that. So she's either a sure stressed IRL and defeated civ or a manipulative emotional baddie. I don't remember seeing civ Elo have an emotional breakdown like that and being so aggressive in her defense. However, it's possible that her teammates had some extra votes and there's the tie.
2. Goosey - I'm just so baffled by her actions, I have no idea what to say. People might have missed this. What her insanified post says is that in Shawshank Llama accused her of having slipped here. I didn't pay too much attention to that at the time, but ended up voting for her after she built a very bad case against me. Of course, she was bad. My bringing up DH's post was to demonstrate how hard he is trying to convince us that there is no way he has teammates to tell him what Thomas' role implies, so he alone had to go to the first page and check. If I understood correctly, I may have been right about DH. So Goosey points that out, and what does she do some hours later? The exact same thing. Goes to the first page to check what role I am, despite if being common knowledge by now. Let's say she really didn't know. Why does she have to post that to let us know she's clueless and has no team mates to tell her? Then we all know the discussion when Vomps first survived. And now what does she do? Says she'll wait until everyone has voted to see if she has to save herself, yet votes for Boom when there were still 6 people left to vote saying, 'oh well, looks I won't have to save myself'. WUT After reading her reply after I voted for her, I felt incredibly guilty about it and started to have second thoughts. Well done there!
3. Notice how neither of the two voted for each other.
4. Bea's defense of Goosey confuses me even more.
5. I wouldn't want to be in Zody's shoes. But you can do it!

BWT, cheers for the Fetus insight. Here's what I'm thinking: I may have the numbers wrong; Moriarty is no more (no reveal), Creeper is probably still out there (killed last night); Fetus is probably still out there; Cohen is probably still out there; I may have the numbers wrong; but this is all there is left... and Catherine died somewhere in the process.
I'm very intrigued by Hedgie's analysis of Goosey... and I'm almost inclined to give her a chance based on her last post addressing my suspicions. But there's still the fact that her game has mostly been an indie hunt. And I'm good buddies with the indies, except when they get towards the end and choose the dark side.
I have a role in mind for DF. I'm trying to think of a way to phrase this so I won't out him: have you learnt anything interesting about any of the players?

Re: [DAY 11] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
This is a very good question and we can add another civ to the list if they're still alive.timmer wrote: @sock, if homestar runner chose two people to play the contest, and one of them was a role that redirects night actions, would both targets redirect, in other words would homestars entire plan be redirected, or would only that persons half be altered?
I like tonight's news. So are we really dealing with a baddie super group that now includes Cohen? If that's the case, we can rule Juliets out. and
As for Bea, I'm not exactly sure what SVS is hinting at , but on this occasion I'll trust BDH, and not because of the spouse thing, but because of his role. So this, corroborated with SVS's observations would give us a civ Bea.
Also, I suggest forming a bloc to analyse and then vote for whomever looks... not very good. I guess we should be looking at about 4 (unless I have the numbers wrong again) out of the following:
Boomslang
DF
Elo
Hedgie
Goosey
SD

Also, Nev - you are right! Derp! He'll probably find out at the end of this night. Fingers crossed.

On one hand, that's a really good role to pick if you are Martell and lynched because it's completely innocuous and unable to trace that you are lying (kinda). Unlike Thomas who has 3x vote, so it's easy to tell if you are that person or not in hindsight. Also, she wouldn't want to pick a civilian who could be taken over to the other side like Jack. So it's a real safe choice.
However, I do remember that when she was lynched, I thought it made sense for her role to pop up as "Mycroft" because I figured she had saved INH from purgatory that one time. I've thought she was civ all game, honestly. But I'd listen to strong arguments in opposition as well.

Re: [NIGHT 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Maybe I was not clear enough. What I meant to say was that I kinda knew Zodac would lynch Devin and I also know that deep down inside he's probably very sorry , but Devin would have most likely been modkilled and revealed anyway, so I would have preferred a DH lynch since he was going to the RR anyway. Do you reckon Zody got any info that would give him some insight about DH's and BF's allegiance?Nevinera wrote:I think that two of those were killed by the red room,Lizzy wrote:Awww, come on Zody! surely Zodac wouldn't have gotten three kills?
They picked bwt, bf, and DH.
Which means bwt got killed twice yesterday :-/
Me too. Also, what do you mean 'we're bad, anyway'? 'we were bad back in the TP game' q.m.I'm really unsure what's going on in there.
Not only does it seem unlikely they get to kill so many people,
But I don't understand why they're voting like they are -
In the last red room, it was lms, so we formed a small bloc to up our chances..
But they all appear to be voting together, and I think almost half of them are bad..
We're bad, anyway.
I'm eager to see what happens tonight.

I had Birdo as a civ when Percy's NK failed. Reading Timmy's posts and DH's, I think it's safe to assume Tim's okay. I had Bea as a civ well, but I wonder how SC got recruited. Bea died, got rezzed and then before we know it, Cohen's with the baddies.
If there are people who still have doubts about SVS: she picked on Llama for faking insanification because she and Devin (and a third person) were the only ones who knew the rules to the contest, and Llama's curse was fairly similar to the contest thingy. Then there was the haiku challenge. Doh! And the fact that she was the only one who accused Epi of nonchalantly keeping the HS tag after the first Moriarty reveal.
As for myself: there was Llama's NK offer, and thus he was the only one who knew my role. If I were not Mycroft he wouldn't have let me off the hook. And yeah, the INH thing!
Also, Llama was the only one, Vomps too afterwards, who knew who Beggars Banquet was. I'll check later if he mentioned trusting anyone in particular.
Also, double insanification - Media's power for 1-5 mentions. What's up with that?

1) You took issue with me going after Vomps and Llama, both of whom have been proven bad.
2) You have no actual desire to build any cases or hunt for any other suspects.
You being an outed civvie is all well and good, but it doesn't excuse you from the rest of the game. You can't see how your tunnel vision is hurting the civ game here? Come on son.
2) Quoi? Mongoose and Hedgie. But I like you more.

Of course I can't be 100% sure. I have my doubts (especially when he's not posting :P). But, I mean, come on:Hedgeowl wrote: Lizzy, same question about DH?
There is a very specific role that I have for either Timmer or DH, so I have quite a bit of trust invested in their opinions. I just dont know which one!

Also, I've been on the same baddie team with Timmer in AG, so I'm willing to take this gamble and attribute that specific role to him.
You're bad too btw.
