Anakin and Padme's entire relationship is so weird when you consider he was a small child when they first met. It's kinda creepy. Also he confesses to mass murder and she doesn't immediately run far far away. I think Anakin's entire storyline suffered the most from the bad writing that the prequels are plagued with. It could've been so much better really easily. The Cinema Sins videos actually do a good job of pointing this out IMO.Matt wrote:I figured the theory itself was silly, but after watching the video, I was like "Hmmmmm"
Haha!
Never really understood the Jar Jar hate anyway. The biggest crime of the prequels is the Ani/Padme dialogue and Anakin screaming "yippee!" like three times during Phantom Menace. Oh, and midichlorians.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [ENDGAME]
I think it's a fun theory to have. I don't necessarily believe it or consider it to be accurate, it's just funny. Personally I think Jar Jar is maliciously stupid both in-universe and as a character, but I don't think he's intentionally malicious.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 15]
Never have I ever experienced such an infuriating lynch as my death in this game. Congratulations winners! I really enjoyed this game despite not having the time to play it, and I was mostly trying to not get noticed by the baddies so I could keep shutting them down unsuspected but I don't think I actually got very many of them. I know I targeted Zebra once but can't think if I was successful on anyone else.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 10]
I expect you'll find out quite soon just how wrong you were about me. If I die today, it will confirm Daisy as bad IMO after that vote. I will be really disappointed if I do go out in such a crappy way but I was never gonna survive all game. Elo will probably vote me to save herself at this point. If she does and really has had the tractor beam used on her then it's not hard to put two and two together in that regard...MacDougall wrote:Agreed. Elohcin also has a vote handy too, so Spacedaisy just handed her a coinflip with you. I was probably wrong about you and right about Elohcin and Spacedaisy. I'm not using it as an excuse for anything. You said I should've done something earlier in the day and I said it wasn't possible. Sorry if that's not good enough for you. I'm not 'playing at' anything.MacDougall wrote:What post?
Forgive me but I don't accept "I've got other things to do" as a reason to consider you a civilian. That's the kind of non alignment indicative stuff that bad guys try to lean on to avoid being lynched. You know it's no excuse so why say it? Playing at the emotions. Playing at the agreement.
Wrap it up guys, we've got a bad guy here.
This is the post in question:

Mac is trying to look like Matt put together a reasonable argument and I responded by saying shut up you're stupid. This is not what happened. I have never called anyone stupid for believing anything (though if you do think Matt made a solid argument there, I'm not going to call you a genius) and the rolleyes was intended to depict my sarcasm since Mac obviously wasn't convinced by Matt and was probably planning to vote me for at least several hours.Matt wrote: Vote Bullz. Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 10]
No, Matt made a post the other day that was clearly a joke and I made a sarcastic response. You then said I was calling people stupid for believing the case against me and trying to discredit it. Anyone not paying enough attention (ie half the game) could see that post and latch onto it despite it having been pure 100% premium grade BS and I'm pretty sure you know it.MacDougall wrote:Sorry did I misunderstand you. Bullzeye, who are your suspects. Come on man, you've spent so much energy defending yourself I've yet to see any hunting.
Matt if you genuinely think I am more scum than him, you need to stop smoking cones.
I've not spent any energy defending myself.
I listed a bunch of people who are probably bad the other day. I'm up for a Daisy lynch but absolutely nobody else seems to be despite the really obvious classic MP distancing tactics. Bubbles reeks of blendy baddie. You spent hours misrepresenting every single post I made during the Zebra lynch. I think Faraday's vote for Zebra was one of the shadiest vote explanations I've ever seen.
True, I guess you tapping on your keyboard while laying on the couch isn't exactly exerting energy, but that's nit picking.
I think many people would have been up for a Daisy lynch if you pushed it early enough for it to occur. Lots of people think she's bad, myself being one of them. I also agree on Bubbles, he's primary candidate for being the last Hutt imo. No I didn't, I read them and made a judgement based on my intuition ie was doing what a civilian does in a game of forums Mafia.
I didn't get the chance to push anything early. Got other things to be getting on with half the time.

The funniest thing to me is that Bubbles and Faraday had the shadiest votes of all IMO so the fact she used him as an excuse is an interesting coincidence. I definitely think she looks suspicious and it makes sense for her to be a Hutt.Canucklehead wrote:How do we feel about this?Bubbles wrote:i'm here, i've fallen a bit behind on the thread, added my vote to the one opposing the one dfaraday voted on basically :P and i'm pretty sure mac and matt are civs so i feel ok with voting the same as themBullzeye wrote:I see your unannounced vote there, Bubbles. There's no way you've been silenced.
Of all the people who didn't vote Z, I was very surprised to see Bubbles among them. If she had read even a teeny bit of the thread before voting (which, granted, doesn't seem to be a guarantee), she would have seen Z was an outed baddie. Bubbles seems like the LEAST likely person to vote away from a confirmed Hutt (she's relatively newish to mafia and therefore more likely to be traditionally minded, she doesn't usually go along with votes that are pushed by others just because they seem civ, she's usually risk averse, etc), so her hopping onto the Bullz votes just to avoid voting the same way was Faraday seems like absolute Bullsuit to me. I think she's our Crumb, and her lack of participation would explain the sporadic appearance of curses. (For the record, my curse had nothing to do with Crumb)
Thoughts?

Okay sure lynch me tomorrow then if I don't die today. Your case on me is the most blatant baddie push I've ever seen. It is full of misrepresentations and lies. You've never even addressed the fact that your claims I tried to discredit things were super flawed. Every time I respond to you you ignore the bulk of what I've said, get mad, and find a new thing to accuse me of. You are bad. I have also listed people whose votes were shady, blendy, and who don't have civ-friendly approaches to this game. There really is no case on me other than that I slightly defended MP because I thought he was civ. There is nothing Empire about me. Now I'm seriously going to bed.MacDougall wrote:You are pulling names out of a hat. Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 9]
Look. That isn't what I was doing. I said I personally do not think there is a better choice today than Zebra and do not think there is a good reason not to vote for her. Later, I acknowledged that there are people who don't agree. For the benefit of those people, I suggested a few potential baddies they might consider voting for in place of both Zebra and myself. It isn't contradictory to say we should lynch Zebra instead of me and we should lynch Faraday instead of me. I'm not saying I don't want to lynch Zebra any more and never have or will. All I said was that I know some people don't want to do it. I don't see why that's such an issue and don't understand why Mac makes such a huge deal out of it.nijuukyugou wrote:I get Mac's points about Bullzeye (it IS weird to first say lynch zebra, then not lynch zebra and look elsewhere, and flip-flop around like that)

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 9]
Let me rephrase this one. Mac obviously is too biased to explain why his own vote is innocent. Zebra's comes from a baddie so doesn't need explaining, and I don't think Matt is bad. I want to understand why Canuck and Bubbles shouldn't be eyeballed for their votes though since both are shady for different reasons.Bullzeye wrote:
Please tell me which votes other than your own, Zebra's or Matt's don't deserve to have a finger waved at them.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 9]
By 'get yourself out of it' I understood 'defend'. I don't see what other option there is to get out of a lynch.MacDougall wrote:Not quite. I didn't say I want you to defend yourself. I said, "if you're a civ I want you to get yourself out of it." For someone who's so pissed about being misrepresented this is pretty hypocritical.Bullzeye wrote:I defend myself and you tell me I'm bad for defending myself but then tell me you want me to defend myself.MacDougall wrote:Furthermore if you're a civ I want you to get yourself out of it. You are literally in a lynch-off with a confirmed scum. You must be looking mighty scummy to have 6 votes on you dude, considering Empire would be hoping we lynch Zebra and Zebra can have no more than 1 teammate, you have a lot of civs on your wagon I can assure you of that.
Please tell me which votes other than your own, Zebra's or Matt's don't deserve to have a finger waved at them.MacDougall wrote:Now. Your defense amounts to waving your finger at your voters. Your answers to my questions is the first time you've defended many of those points.
You mean the past 12 hours? No. Not really.MacDougall wrote:You must admit it's pretty coincidental that you've got time to play when the lynch wagon is coming for you?
If you were a civ? Okay.MacDougall wrote:If I were a civ, and I was in a lynch off with a confirmed scum and somehow ahead on votes. I would probably be focusing more on convincing people of reasons to vote for the confirmed scum rather than chucking a hissy fit and calling everyone voting for me bad. I'd still be chucking a hissy fit no doubt.
Please tell me what there is I could possibly say to convince someone who doesn't already think Zebra needs to be lynched. Especially something that hasn't already been said. Zebra has done all the work for me as far as building a case goes.

This is an annoying lynch but I'm okay with it if it goes ahead since I legit don't have time to play and feel bad I jumped into a game I couldn't actually commit to. I've done my best and tried to help even if it wasn't always obvious.

Niju you are my new favourite. Congratulations.nijuukyugou wrote:Okay, I now know why zebra's being voted, and I suppose the reason there aren't more votes is because she doesn't kill tonight?I've never played a game like this before. I understand what people are doing (although I'm not caught up enough yet to see why Bullzeye is being suspected as Empire, so keep standing by), but...still? Voting for someone being speculated as a baddie versus voting an outed baddie? And Mac just said in linki that he wants Bullz to defend himself to get less votes than an outed baddie?
This game is weird AF. I'll continue reading now.

I didn't discredit anything at all because there was NOTHING to discredit.MacDougall wrote: Bullzeye, Bullzeye...
You literally did the things I said you did. There is no misrepresenting. You did those things. Stop saying you didn't. I quoted posts that show that you did them. If you want to defend yourself tell me why you did those things, don't just try to claim that you didn't.
As I've said, I meant that I hadn't been convinced by the arguments put forth.MacDougall wrote:Why did you come into the thread half cocked saying that there's no reason not to lynch the confirmed townie when there was?
I had. Why would anyone do that?MacDougall wrote:Why did you claim you'd read the posts when you hadn't?
I thought he was a civ. I can be wrong. I regularly am.MacDougall wrote:Why did you cast your vote specifically to save MP?
Today happened to be a day where I wasn't doing much. Not to mention I've become 'all of a sudden super active' in the late hours of the evening, leading into night. I can always go to the pub instead if you'd prefer.MacDougall wrote:Why have you all of a sudden been super active with the pressure on but apparently too busy to play the rest of the game?
I have entertained some of your points. I will not entertain points where you accuse me of trying to discredit cases that don't exist or misrepresent things I've said.MacDougall wrote:Your inability to even entertain the points being raised against you are not a good look. Neither is just wildly pointing the finger at everyone voting for you. Especially myself. Stop rage-quivering and think about the situation. If you're a civ, you'll get yourself out of this.
Seriously, there is almost no case on me whatsoever. Even if you really really really really want to lynch an Empire, lynch Zebra today. You're not getting your wish either way from the sound of things, so best to go with the actual baddie of the two people currently on offer. Otherwise in a couple of hours you'll be asking yourself how anyone could possibly have been a part of such a crappy bandwagon.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 9]
It's not like you're insanified. You said that you were shocked by Mac's vote, and that though you trust him you think his choice kinda stinks. You also said earlier you weren't sure about me. Then you said you were voting with Mac. When someone says "I'm voting with X" and hasn't said anything against the person they're voting for, that's essentially putting the responsibility on someone else. I alluded to the suspicion you might do this when I told you to own your choice. Of course, your vote came up in the linki so it was pointless anyway.Canucklehead wrote:That's not an honest view of me!Bullzeye wrote:I see there are six votes left. I encourage you all to vote Zebra. It shouldn't take much, she's done the work for me. Look at the votes on me:
Zebra: An outed baddie.
Matt: Allegedly didn't mean to leave his vote there. The only person on this wagon I don't distrust.
Mac: Has been twisting my words and exaggerating my actions - lynch him next.
Canuck: Implied she thought Mac's vote for me was a bad idea, then followed it anyway and has essentially pre-emptively given him her share of the blame.
Bubbles: Okay seriously read that post and tell me it's a vote worth following.
A vote for me is a vote for a civ, and a vote on the shadiest wagon in history. There are densely covered patches of the Amazon with less shade. A vote for Zebra is a vote for someone who has dropped any pretense of being a civ. I don't think it's a tough choice.
Linki - I do think you're bad. I think you should be lynched next, and will vote for you next if I survive today. Then it will be a toss-up between Canuck and Bubbles.
I'll take whatever blame may be
Due me once you're good and gone,
But I doubt we're wrong, young padawan.
Clever of you to try and cast
Aspersions on me while I'm blasted
With this curse and can't defend
Articulately. Smooth, my friend.

You've twisted my words and tried to make it look like my opinions contradict one another when they don't. You said I tried to discredit a case and say people who believe it are stupid when the 'case' in question was clearly a joke. I can't think of a thing you've said about me that isn't super shady.MacDougall wrote:Lynch me next? Lmao. Okay.
No we haven't. I'm having fun though, in as much as a potentially doomed civ can.MacDougall wrote:I'm glad we have encountered a scum who is putting up a fight though, that's fun.
