So I was in favor of his lynch for a while but after he defended I became convinced he was more likely town, so I moved to another suspect (well, rdw for a bit, but then I changed my mind on him too and at the same time lap became a viable candidate so I went with that)
It sure was and I felt the same. Hence getting my vote off him and onto who at the time was the only other person that could get lynched.

FWIW the promoted roles we know are Sage (which has an extra oneshot) and Paladin (who gets an upgraded version of the same power).
