I agree with this post.speedchuck wrote:DrWilgy wrote:JaggedJimmyJomps has been hacked by Vomps!
What a twiiiiiiiist!!!
Mafia, plz don't kill me early. I had to move away from my Wilgette and need this to keep my mind busy.
(and I'm still most definitely a doctor... just a zonked one...
So, who is bad?I can't fully explain the gut feel, but these two posts gave me bad vibes. Wilgy addressing the mafia sounded suuper fake, which may have been the point, but my gut doesn't like it.Elohcin wrote:What about me? What about me?MovingPictures07 wrote:I also like the way LC handled all of that conversation, looking into it more intently.
I'd say I have two town reads already then. Cool.
I also just get the willies anytime someone begs for an early read from a trusted towny, probably even more so when it's masked by jest.
These two posts seem jokey, of course, but I get a non-genuine feel from them. And on D1, that's enough to shove someone to the bottom of the heap.
Forgot about that. Looks to me like he genuinely went along with your case. I think he's fine.Epignosis wrote:Luke admitted his vote was convenient. He's basing it off what other people say.nutella wrote:Epi I am not bad. I'm not sure how I can convince you at this point but you are barking up the wrong tree.
As for my own reads, I don't really feel like much has changed since my earlier post. I have to reread the FZ-MP exchange to see where I stand on that, but for now I am still leaning civ on MP.
Mild scum read on Luke for jumping on with a vote for me. Seems like a convenient/easy vote for a baddie. Wilgy acted similarly but gave an empty meta-based reason, which is suspicious at face value except it's Wilgy so who knows.
Since I don't think I mentioned speedchuck before I'll add him to my tentative civ reads as I'm getting a good vibe from him so far. GTH bad reads are FZ (but still need to look into that), Elohcin, Luke, and maybe Wilgy (though I always suspect him and always fear his wifom).
You left MM out of your analysis, and he voted for you right after I did. Why? What do you make of his vote for you?
This is an interesting observation, and may actually lessen my inclination to go after you next if FZ flips bad.DrWilgy wrote:Just considering the flow of votes, this is more likely a save than a bus.
Oh well.
It's not in this case anyway and I have no awareness of any such trend. Just the phrase that came to mind to get my point across, since Epi seems so confident and is unfortunately in the wrong.Long Con wrote:Every time I feel like saying someone is "barking up the wrong tree" I stop myself... because at some point, it was seen as, well, something baddies say. Lol. Tbh I'm willing to entertain that possibility at this point, given your save theory. His case on my meta did seem genuinely motivated though.DrWilgy wrote:Aww... Epi is bad again.Epignosis wrote:I am continually amazed that the #1 FEB on the site leads more lynches than anybody else.
What do you mean by this replacement read stuff? I wasn't a replacement in phenon.speedchuck wrote:Ooh, that's a better nutella case. I like it.
I originally thought the nutella case was off the mark because I had a different nutella meta read. I had a replacement nutella meta read, from my one game with her. This feels like replacement town nutella, which... based onn these other metas, doesn't look as good.MovingPictures07 wrote:Elaborate on this bolded/underlined stuff if you don't mind.speedchuck wrote:Most of my reads are based on what others have said, as well as my sense of when posts feel really fake or genuine. Those feels are what sends my nutella read higher than Epi's, and my Wilgy/Eloh reads lower than most.
This early game, I'm basing a lot on meta. Marmot doesn't feel like he did when scum. He also seems to be putting forward good effort, I see in my linkis.MovingPictures07 wrote: Can you elaborate on your Marmot read? I can never read that guy.
I'll never live up to that againMarmot wrote:You forgot her first post in Phenon, a game that saw civilian nutella with a top-class performance.
All of this is just how I play/post. I start writing something and just stream-of-consciousness it and work through thoughts, so I do often contradict or change my mind within a single post. Especially on day 1 when I have no clue what to think of anyone. All the "equivocation" you're seeing is my thought process.Epignosis wrote:There's so much I find disagreeable with this post.nutella wrote:As usual I'm pretty lost as to where to start and I feel like anyone could be fooling me at this point. I suppose I'm leaning toward civ-reading MP and also agreeing with his civ read of Epi and LC, but those could all be subject to change. I also think Dys and JJJ look good so far. Part of me is tempted to follow Dys's apparent gut suspicion of MP, but as of now I think it's risky because if he is civ he's a valuable one as seen by his early and detailed contributions about strategy. Then again, said strategy post could be seen as sneaky-by-way-of-overt fishing for cop/info claims, but that's kind of a leap. Again I'm leaning civ for him but my Dys read is stronger.
"As usual." This is a preface to tell us that what follows is superfluous.
"Anyone can be fooling me at this point." At this point? It's the beginning of Day 1. Hardly anyone has said anything to persuade you one way or another about anything.
You are leaning toward MP being good and LC and me as well by proxy, but "those could all be subject to change." Why wouldn't that be subject to change? Why is it important to tell everyone that your opinions could change?
You think Dys is good and by proxy think MP is bad, yet you give no reason why you might disagree with your previous sentence.
I don't know why in the world anyone would think JJJ is good. He has done nothing to warrant that opinion. He is acting like another Syndicate member, which is exactly what he said he was going to do before he received his role.
"Could be seen." Weasel words.
"Kind of a leap." There's no point in raising a perspective and then discrediting it in the same breath.
Overall, this is a huge post full of equivocation.

Me too. That's kinda how conflicting thoughts are. Welcome to mafia.MovingPictures07 wrote:I'm a bit confused regarding these conflicting thoughts.
