Re: The Search for Quin [END]

You have access to the baddie chat now dude :p I suggested either BWT, Epi, or you, because we wanted to kill someone who was unlikely to be a lynch candidate, and DDL voted you out of the three. His words "Reason being Epi could get heat from the LC thing and I feel bad for offing BWT when he is back after a long absence."

Re: The Search for Quin [END]

GG guys. It's too bad I really didn't end up having any time to dedicate to participating above the bare minimum and thus was unable to defend myself, but I think our team had been doomed for a while, lol -- I was hoping my bus credit would keep me around for a bit, but it's not at all surprising that you guys saw past it by this point. Seriously though, I had no opportunity today to catch up much less defend myself as my job has been extremely busy lately (I was there for ten hours today and still have a few things that have to get done by the end of the night... I love my new job but it's crazy busy lol).

Anyway, great job civs, you nailed it. And fwiw there wasn't a ton of logic behind most of the kills beyond the general principle of going for people who were widely seen as town. If you pressed me I might figure out near-subconscious reasons I had regarding who was suspecting certain people and who I wanted to keep around for any possible framing/wifom/etc

Somewhat POE really, because if it's not Dom that only leaves a few other options yourself included.

I need to dig into your ISO yet again, but the town read I have on you due to your genuine sounding posts and your DDL suspicion only take you so far.

Particularly, what is inspiring my recent declining confidence in you is the nature with which you suspected DDL. From what I recall reading when I was talking with Sloonei (and not focusing enough on anyone other than him and maybe dom), your suspicion of DDL was all very vague and gut-based, which would have been easy for you to fabricate if you were throwing some shade on a teammate. NT also made a good point which got me thinking as well.

Further, you have been going with the flow and coasting completely the last couple cycles which really concerns me. You don't seem interested in all in hunting for this last person and securing a win.
My suspicions are often gut-based and vague. I have a hard time pinpointing specific things when a player's entire ISO sounds bad to me.

If I've been "coasting" it's just that I've hardly had time to participate lately and have been posting like once or twice a day when I can, and there's not much content in the thread to go off anyway -- I do care about finding the last baddie, but I feel like we've had it narrowed down enough that I haven't had anything else to add. I do strongly believe it is Dom at this point.

NT, I'm not bad but good to see you analyzing stuff. I suspected DDL longer and harder than anyone.

I'm inclined to believe Dom is most likely bad here. Could also see serge or perhaps even NT, but I think we should try Dom and see because I am not buying his defenses and I know he's been busy but he hasn't looked much like his usual town style.

@Sloonei, I had a town vibe from sanmateo because he seemed unafraid to voice independent thoughts/analysis/suspicions, such as his examination of the LC voters, and he had a pretty logical approach to the game. I don't think I've ever played with him before but I got the distinct impression of a strategic town mindset. Guess I was fooled and I'll be appropriately wary of him in future games.

I'd say it's more than a little jab as I've been naming DDL as a top suspect for quite a while now. Granted, my inclination to look his way initially stemmed from you throwing a vote at him, but I feel that I've independently developed my own read of him. Just looked at his ISO again and it's really a general vibe I get from his presence in the game. If I were to pick one that stands out it's the post where he claims he's been trying to change his town style. That really sounds like an excuse, especially on top of the fact that he's already been busy and not participating as much as usual -- it's like he's particularly self-conscious of not playing his civ style and trying to explain it away. And maybe he really just isn't putting in much effort because he's busy, but his posts mostly come across as weak/effortless responses to thread content.

what are some non-speedchuck reads you have?
As I said, I find DDL suspicious for his style so far; he doesn't come across as genuine at all. And fwiw, I think my suspicion of speedchuck has actually waned a little bit from his posts since the lynch ended. He's probably second to DDL on my list now but still a pretty strong suspicion; I just don't want to end up tunneling blindly.

I'm not sure what to think of MP and Daisy, and I think it's fairly likely that one of them is bad, but honestly it's so hard to tell. MP and speedchuck are mutually exclusive IMO though -- even though MP switched his vote, his highkey pursuit of speedchuck for much of the day could not have been bussing. I could see a bad Daisy.

Oh, and I forgot that when I wrote the post that got lost while on the bus earlier I was going to say something about NewTraditionalist since his first post drew attention. It read to me like either a newbie with btsc teammates or a particularly confident transplant from another site (which I gather he is but idk who knows him). The way he reacted back with a no-u-ish vote without so much as blinking made me lean toward the latter. I look forward to seeing more from him.

You don't understand what I mean by being "process oriented," but that's okay.

What you just said was "results oriented." If LC was bad, you wouldn't have said this, would you?

My process doesn't change because I get an occasional bad result.

I'm torn on LC. Epi's references to other games are somewhat compelling; I was in those games and thus am fully aware of why Epi feels the way he does about LC, but I'm not necessarily convinced that he has to be right. Players don't always fulfill the patterns you expect across alignments. LC's reactions (especially the one after my post) were pretty over-the-top though and I can definitely see him being a caught baddie here.

At the same time, I'm torn on BWT as well. The circumstances of his info claim and its apparent misguidedness are intriguing, but I grant that it seems unlikely he would claim bad info openly if bad, so it's more likely it was just misguided/misleading false info. But his over-eager "let's all lynch LC" post was very suspicious. I've been considering voting for him but MP's post here rings pretty true to me and I'm inclined to trust his read:
MovingPictures07 wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2017 9:14 pm BWT is being indecisive as fuck. That means he's town. If he was bad, he would force consistency.

I might look into joining Sloonei in a DDL vote; I'll look back at DDL next. Not feeling MP's and Epi's suspicion of Sloonei; I'm seeing town behavior.
Thoughts on speedchuck?
Just read his ISO and not feeling great about him actually. He went hard after LC but then backed off and expressed hesitance toward voting for him. If LC is bad I'd look to speedchuck for a teammate, but I could see voting for him independently of LC's alignment as well.
