Also, I'll be out of town for most of Day 2, so don't expect a lot of activity from me then. I'll try and check in and see what I can do though.

And I'll probably vote Position 5. I think.

Voting BWT right now, simply to give someone a sizeable lead in votes.

That definitely wasn't the case in Recruitment III when the Musketeers could submit their vote manip at any time they wanted, during the Day as well.

I disagree entirely. Carlos should not use her pardon today; that way if someone survives a lynch we'll know it's the baddie recruiter who is immune in Position 1.
That is a good point.

I'm not sure why the neutral in this case needs to die in order for you to look at people's involvement in his/her lynch though.

Note that I'm working on the assumption of a neutral lynch here.

I'd rather kill a neutral than end the day in a no lynch. We'd learn nothing.
What would we learn from a neutral lynch?

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 1)

For the people who consider this a LMS/faction or whatever you want to call it, we've had these discussions in previous RMs before.
Timmer should know this very well, as I believe it was one of the reasons he got lynched in RM III.

I would hate to see people being lynched over it again, as it's quite pointless. Your best bet to not get lynched is to at least appear like you are hunting baddies, not come out and say "Don't expect me to hunt any baddies for now guys, I'm just gonna chill here".

Canuck, you say you do not want to lynch a future teammate, but so what if that happens? Teams usually are kept balanced from what I remember. Lynching a potential teammate would result in someone else joining your future team and it would give you atleast some plausible deniability that you are not on that team in the future. I don't see a lose in there honestly.

I played with him on JTM and I remember his activity being just as low, he was clipped as mafia after the first Night in that game.
I figured it out while playing with the poll. I cannot explain my vote due to it interfering with some rules.

You're not allowed to hint that your vote was forced with these Hosts (rightfully so imo).

I don't know Typh. You were on my team. Do you think I played differently? I try to play the same from game to game. I do remember that Epi called out what happened with my role (I died early and was rezzed into a secret role.) And for awhlle I was able to brush it off but as more and more civ recruits were rezzed, it was more and more difficult to defend against the truth of Epi's argument. Killing him didn't help anything even though you and Tranq both though it was the right thing to do at the time (if I am remembering correctly). Eventually, I became as close to an outed baddie as I've ever been. So yea, my play was prolly pretty different when I realized there was nothing I could do to hide anymore.
Your case is a bit special seeing as how you were rezzed Night 3 (around the same time I replaced in) and you had heat on you from the start, something that I don't think would've happened had you started the game as the recruiter.

Linki: Golden, am I reading through the lines of your post correctly when I say that you'd like to lynch Epi because it would make the game more fun for you? Seriously dude, think about that for a second and then realize that it's not a good strategy to follow.
Right now, I don't think you're bad and I don't think Epi is bad and I don't think the back and forth between the two of you will give us anything else except more frustration for you.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 1)

I'd pick people that would enrich my game experience.

For me that would mean enjoyable BTSC as a top requirement honestly. You can be shit at the game for all I care, if you're fun in BTSC and you're trying to be good at the game, you're more than welcome.
A shortlist of three would probably be aapje/SVS/Tranq. Which is weird looking at Tranqs list. Nub Tranq.

Of your list JJJ, I don't care at all about reputation, WIFOM or UTR.

I still intend to push for the lynch of a player who I view as suspicious. Recruitment theories are way too speculative to serve as the basis for a lynch choice in my opinion. The insight there might help people to find people to focus on though in such a large roster of players.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 1)

I think in the last game, recruiters could only pick their first recruit. They had to send in a list of three and one of them would become the recruit iirc.

Everything after that was either through contests in which they would not be told who sent in what or through other means that were completely out of their control.

Also I remember BR/LC saying the roles were randomised, lemme see if I can find that.
