Hey, just poking in here from work quickly because I saw some movement against me. I have changed my votes to lap, because I don't think she's being honest. I gave a reason for voting Tony, and she said I didn't give one.
I don't really have much time to talk more right now.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 4]
I have to go to work soon, so I have to vote now. Going with the lynch train of TSP because I think his case on nutella might have been cobbled together after some pressure was applied, making it look flimsy to me. This is a lot of people (5) on TSP now, so maybe my vote here can free up one of the voters who will be around till the end, to use their vote for pressure somewhere else.

"You're lying, JJJ" is the predictable easy-button response, and if y'all want to go there then be my guest. I couldn't have seen that coming..
Anyone though who acknowledges the possibility that I am truthful and still wants to lynch me either has no idea how to do math or is mafia.
Maybe I'm Sonya or Jax and I really want you gone.
Achieving a win isn't always as black and white as reading the win condition. We have to play the game.
Scenario 1. We let JJJ live, and he manages to make cases and make votes that make Civs die. Civs lose, Kano wins.
Scenario 2. We lynch JJJ, and get rid of an anti-Civ force in the game. Less Civs die, cleaner lynches, Civs win.
You getting the more complex, raw, gameplay angle here?

Exactly.Kylemii wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2018 3:42 pm I don't think the 2 mislynch 1 mislynch thing necessarily contradicts the idea that lapuie might have info on dunya. It actually kinda makes sense. Lapluie started going hard after dunya following the dawn of day 3, despite having been relatively noncommittal beforehand about most players.
reviewing the events with all that in mind, lapulie does fit the behavioral archetype of a player who has info but limited resources to build a case on. also her first post of the day right after the dawn post was "well, I know who I'm voting for" implying a possibility of information or vote force.

You must have missed a few
1st of all, what 2 mislynches is she talking about? Talking poop, that's what. She refuses to even acknowledge her mistake, and that really worries me. Townies make mistakes, they will correct their mistakes. She refuses to do that. I've called her out on this 3 or 4 times and she don't give a shit. The entire basis of why she is lynching me is inaccurate and she doesn't care. Fuck that.lapluie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 6:46 pm I'm lynching you now hunni, not tony right now that is. You mislynched two players so if I lead town now & we lynch you I think we'll have a successful kill.
IF hypothetically speaking im wrong, & they decide to kill me is unfair since you've been having wrong reads on the last two kills, anyways im putting that out there.
That's all I got dunya
Second of all, she's already covering her ass when I flip town. Hey, when she does flip town, you guys can't come after me cos I'd have made an oooopsie. Fuck that.
Come on Long Con, don't tell me that's "knowledgeable". I know you, and I know how good you are. You don't actually buy this so why are you playing along?
Also, I mislynched two players. I absolutely don't see that as incriminating because I'm Civ. Baddies know who's Civ or bad. They don't need to bluntly vote Civs... if it were proven that your votes were close-poll-swing-votes that saved someone by lynching a Civ, then it starts to be more interesting. It's a normal Civ thing to do to vote wrong in lynches.
I'm not enamored with the logic and structure of lapluie's post you quoted, but she's new to me, so I give leeway.
Bottom line, her certainty outweighs her weak cases by a significant amount. That is telling to me, and that's what I'm taking away from all this.
You're saying: civ is ok to mislynch (I did that)
You're saying: lap's case is weak
You're admitting: she made a mistake in her case
You're saying: her logic and structure isn't in her case
But you're saying you're going to agree with her because she's saying "lynch dunya, dunya is scum (I think!!!)"
I must have misjudged your mafia game.

Dunya is bad for starting it.
1. Sig is always wishy-washy
2. Waffley behavior is a textbook EZ suspicion to put on mislynches, when it can really go both ways. Town can be genuinely uncertain as easily as mafia can be nervous
3. Sig couldn't defend easily, and this is a mostly brand-new suspicion. That's the reason I'd rather have gone with a D1 case. Now we're back to square one.
4. Sig's lynch gained momentum too easily. If half the scumteam wasn't on it, I will eat a Kansas CD.
Dunya replaced in, and her first action was to go through the thread, pick the easiest mislynch possible, and drive it home while Sig couldn't defend himself and no better cases could be made. Screw that.

I was pretty lost during that day. I was having enough trouble finding time to stay caught up with the regular game because we have a lot of big posters here, I couldn't be bothered to decipher every insane person's meanings... especially since I was limited to textless graphics for communication. dunya's case was something understandable that I agreed with, and after a day of just reading a bunch of chaos, that was damn well good enough for me. Dunya's case was the best thing I could make sense of in that thread, plus it even had an extra flavour of sig buddying me, which I'm most always partial to. I practically tied nutella for being the second voter, seemed like she was mere seconds ahead of me in both the vote and the vote-post. Don't know if that info is relevant to you, but that's how it happened.speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:34 pm The Sig lynch was bad.
Screw that.
And please don't say things like "seems like an LC scum thing to do", that's so common for people to do, and it's not legit. People love to think of some scum tactic on their own, and then apply it to me. I feel like the Devil, everyone wants to blame the Devil for their own sinful ways. "The Devil made me do it"... the Devil never made anyone do anything! And this "seems like an LC scum thing to do" is equally misguided.
If you want to find some concrete connection to a previous scum game showing that I'm likely to "scapegoat on weak reasoning" then that's fine. Otherwise you're making that up.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 2]
First things first:
rabbit8, you old bastard, it is DAMN good to see you!
I never know if you'll ever show your face again. Especially after last time on Rev. Welcome back dude!!
And back to Mafia:
Dom
Made
Marmot
nutella
Simon
It's better because Made made me suspicious before, nutella pings me when she comes after me while I'm being completely frank (acting like her suspicion arises because of how well she knows me, but if she really knew me blah blah), Simon because of his spring-to-action vote on someone I didn't see any particular reason for, with unsatisfying follow-up. And then Dom and Marmot for flavour.
My reasons are given the best I can without going back and re-reading the past-game stuff I discussed, so don't jump down my throat for any inaccuracies; instead gently correct me and I'll go from there.

I could only post in pictures, probably because I'm the graphics guy.

Brother, I be old school with you. I'm woke though, so I can travel between dimensions.

I don't really like the fleshy tone in the middle. It disrupts the transition from yellow to orange when I wanna see it flow...Kylemii wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:42 pmWhy dunya?speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:30 pm Rainbow of the remains

Different definitions of 'trying', I would say.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 12:02 amI'd like people to weigh in on this post.Elohcin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2018 3:07 pm Everyone is being quite crazy with their votes right now. I don't like this lack of seriousness in the beginning of big games like this. Everyone thinks they can just play around and vote here or there and it won't matter much. Dudes (and dudettes), if we try hard enough, we might be able to get a scum on Day 1.
This implies Eloh is ready to go, excited to play and down to catch some scum....but then she never tries.
Did she get busy? Or is she faking?

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 1]
Sure thing. Sometimes on Day 1, the lack of glaring scumtells and the absence of power-result-information or flips will lead people to say "I have no idea, let's just get rid of someone who isn't playing as much and pick it up for Day 2." kinda thing. Yes?
If that's where you this lynch, then so be it. I have probably cast a Day 1 low-poster vote more than once, so it's not like I shouldn't have my turn. You'd be lynching a Civ though.
