LC was quick to argue against people claiming so quickly. That leads to one of two scenarios:

LC is mafia and does not feel comfortable handling the fallout of such a thing.
LC is a civilian with a role he genuinely believes is helping the civilian faction and does not want to be killed for it.

More on this in a moment.

My angle here was to view things in the game from the fakeclaim standpoint. As far as I knew, I was the only Civilian cop and I didn't want to jeopardize that.

Agree that Nut was somewhat of a surprising kill given the post restriction. But she was very unlikely to get lynched because of tipping the scales on Soneji.

There was a conversation about this. LC commented on how the mafia faction(s)(?) have fake claims. It was weird, but I remember discussing it.

For what it's worth, I don't think LC blurted this tidbit out into the thread.

Would a baddie LC bring this up? I thought it would seem like a "no", so that's why I did it.

There is a degree of suspicion against Owner.

Tough to get valid suspicions going when you're bad. That was probably the most challenging thing for me. I took a cue from some other good players and asked questions about people's posts and opinions to seem like I'm involved and genuinely truth-hunting.

This is Day 2. I am never tip-top-teal-shit in LC's list Day 2.

What this tells me is that LC checked me and had a reason to believe I'm a civilian, which is what he's said all along.

I even accused LC of trying to get on my good side, but well, let's move on.

This rainbow was stressful. A couple of players had posted that I was lacking reads on people, so I cobbled it up fast and put it out there. It was a little weak, but it was pretty, at least. The main strategic point was to have Epignosis as a solid town-read, because my story was that I had checked him Night 1.

It was "oops" when Epi compared this Civ-read to my post earlier on Day 2, where I had done a little poking at Epi in a wishy-washy way. Epi was right to question this disparity, so I decided that my earlier post was just something to try and draw out baddies or some nonsense. I was fortunate that he didn't push too hard once I hinted that I had reasons.

I don't recall the context, but LC asked me to clarify something, which, in light of the above, signifies that he genuinely trusted me.

Trusting Epi early was an important part of my cop-deception. I also had in the back of my mind that I would probably need to claim cop before the other "cops" in order to have the best effect.

I won't quote the next thing, but it was a large analysis of Owner that resulted in a "I would vote Owner," and then he defended my drinking from Owner who used it as a way to vote for me:

Again, a mafia LC would have no reason to come in and beg for the life of speedchuck when LC also had votes.

Of course, that WAS the plan. I was lucky that enough people believed my claim-claim, and speedchuck was already who I had 'checked' on Night 2. I saw that he was going to be lynched when I checked in from the concert, so I decided to try to wait till the right point where I could try to save speedchuck, but be not in time before the lynch ends. I chose eight minutes or so, I think. Enough Civs were there to change it, but they just questioned my claim.

It was a claim from the old school Syndicate ways, as Epi talked about earlier, where I don't outright claim, I just hint without a doubt. Maybe an outright claim would have gotten more last-minute action.

This could be a mafia member trying to gain backwards credibility, but LC didn't play it that way: Recall that he called me good Day 2. He then tried to avert a speedchuck lynch.

It was really easy from my point of view, because you and bob were Prey. I only needed Predators dead to win, and the early game had a disturbing number of Prey deaths already. I think I avoided "clearing" Predators, except the spur-of-the-moment speedchuck, or the final Kylemii. I needed you and bob to just not be the deaths, and it was stressful for me whenever you started suspecting each other!

I invited LC to question his results, and he chose not to waver. Mafia would appreciate the out.

I was all-in on the plan to eventually reveal that I was Judy Hopps, "the only competent cop on the force". Having correct checks made sense for my fakeclaim, and the idea was suggested more than once by Jinrou, which helped foment the plan.

You have no idea. The day before, I came THIS CLOSE to getting Kylemii lynched. Partway through that day, I realized that getting Jinrou or Owner lynched would mean I'd get a Prey killed the following night - I needed Kylemii lynched. You can find the point in the day when I realized it, and I came in with a Kylemii push. I failed, but if I had gotten Kyle lynched then I could have likely had Owner killed by Jinrou that night, and my plan was to come right out with a role claim and a red-check on Jinrou.

Instead, I had to come into a Day where Kyle was still alive, and I didn't need him to be lynched as much as I thought because it was LYLO... this was a different win con for me and I misjudged when endgame would be. Way better to try and lock in Kyle's trust by cop-checking him Civ and declaring my checks true?

Does anyone want to take a stance on why they think Jinrou and Kyle aren't voting for each other? (Especially the former, after Jinrou defended himself for not being used to the system, yet voted yesterday and still failed to vote before disappearing for the day.)

Current theory: they are scum buddies and looking for a convenient CFD, but I am open to other explanations.
Am I missing something? I never accused jinrou. I never checked jinrou, and even if I did, my role doesn't get results. I don't think I've even talked about jinrou.

I would vote logic out of those three.

I looked back over Owner and I remember why I had voted him before. 1) The "inner dialogue" posts feel like contrived fakery, because of the blatant "only town needs to do real thinking like this" vibe it gives off. It feels more like a presentation than anything else. 2) This post where he gives a null read to Logic's direct challenge is bad. He lays down why he thinks he's a town read, but stops short of really saying it. Buddying Logic while retaining a shadow of suspicion. 3) Felt like he got cold feet on the Epi accusation and carefully played it off with some near-indignation, and then friendly comments and music discussion. Why would a Civ need to slink away like that?

That said, the rest of his ISO from then till now looks pretty good. Feels really Civ.

I'm not logged out. I'm just always set to invisible. I'm here for the evening, but in and out because kids / dinner / other home stuff.

Four mafia sounds like a bit much... for a regular game. This game, though, I don't know. Jinrou and his hypothetical pair of teammates would probably ask the host in private. Looks kind of towny to me.
Jinrou seems to be saying that the game started with 5 mafia (because we got one when Soneji was lynched)
Which I think is probably overkill even in a bastard game, unless our cop checks are not just bunk.

Maybe some cop checks are real. Five mafia? I already thought four was too much in a 14-player game.

I think I missed answering this yesterday. At this time, I would lynch Owner first, then Kyle, Jinrou, Logic from that list. I still don't want to lynch Epi, bob, or Dys.

I have to remind myself why I voted for Owner before, but I'll [VOTE: Owner] aubergine at this time. I am home and well-rested this evening (unlike the last few), so I'll be around until lynch time.
