No doubt about it! We just needed to take out Hedge early and it was unquestionably the Civvies' game.

I have to learn from this game to inform my baddie game, clearly being a little quieter makes a world of difference. Maybe I should miss the first couple of days of every game I play, and spend the next couple 'catching up'. :srsnod:

Fantastic game, Civvies. The first three lynches were wrong, but we literally lynched (or attempted to lynch) a baddie/indy every single day for the rest of the game. Sometimes, playing a totally amazing game isn't enough, sometimes you just need to lynch that one quiet person or the game is out of your reach. Chris, you were so right so much of the time, you probably played the best game out of any of us.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12

Did anyone think Long Con 1.0 was Rory? I did two role hints, and I would like to think that I did them the right way.

The first was to get upset with Chris for endangering Amy Pond - I was kind of role-playing as Rory in a manner of speaking.

The other was, after giving a couple of my Civvie role decodes, I slammed the Rory decode into the thread, completed.

Hilarious that keys was Amy Pond - I can't believe that when I was telling him it was him and me, he's ma boy, etc, that it fit in with the quasi-role-playing I had done about Amy. :haha:

Too many recruits, too much freedom of recruiting. I figured when Epig was saying the Civs had no chance that he was speaking from a behind-the-scenes perspective, and that this end is what he meant. I had to play like it wasn't that way, what else can you do?

Not sure why the game wasn't ended a lot sooner.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 11

Chris wrote:LC, who are you thinking for today's lynch? Do you think that Dom is The Master? Did you think zeek was the recruiter?
I do think both those things, yes. I suppose that we have to lynch Dom, so that Strax can kill him tonight OR we find out that he's telling the truth and Strax can kill someone else tonight.

I don't understand why The Master killed Keys. Moreover, I don't understand why the Cybers killed Zeek.

I was sure that The Master would kill Zeek. It's like, if The Master is Dom, then he's pissed at Zeek for ending his game, and says to himself, "F this guy, if I'm going down over this crap, he's not making it a day further!" If The Master is not Dom, he still kills Zeek so that we say "Of course it was Dom that did that for obvious reasons."

And if I were a Cyber, I'd be like "Let's kill anyone but Zeek, 'cause we don't want to double-target with The Master and waste a kill!"

So yeah, I have no idea why last night went the way it did.

Well, unfortunately, if Zeek is The Recruiter and failed to recruit Dom because The Master can't be recruited... then your own information that you can't reveal about why Dom is The Master could easily spring from you being a recruit and having access to the same info Zeek does. Or you being the Recruiter and Zeek being a recruit also works in that scenario... Let me know if I'm mistaken, but did we clear Zeek of being a Dalek (all dead) or a Cyberman (they killed him)? So, The Recruiter would be a fine possibility for him. Can you imagine if we rezzed The Recruiter?! Wow. Who was responsible for that rez?
Also, LC, do you like the idea of the "Jacob" vs "MIB" theory with 2 of the secret roles?
Nope... I don't think that's how it is. I see it as The Recruiter and The Neutral LMS With Some Power We Don't Know. Or Evil instead of Neutral, but they ain't killing, so  .

On the contrary, Dom, I thought that this lynch in particular was an invigorating and interesting one, very much what I consider to be good Mafia. I wanted to congratulate everyone on keeping this game very interesting, even if Dom ends up being the White Jacob secret role and it's a big mistake.

One thing, though... Dom's lynch survival is suspicious because there's nothing in the (unclaimed) Civvie roles that explain it. There is also nothing I can see in the Civvie roles that would explain Zeek's 100% knowledge that Dom is The Master. So... that's sort of suspicious for the same reason?

Okay, I voted for Snow Dog. It looks like Dom is going to be lynched anyway, but anything could happen. I just don't feel comfortable following Epig's claims about Dom without any substantiation, and although I feel Zeek's passion for this idea, I don't think that amount of evidence for his case amounts to more than what I saw in Snow Dog's posts that some, including I, deemed "Bass supportive".

Dom is one of my number one candidates to be The Master, but it's just based on the way he seems like an enigma... his play, and the relative lack of suspicion he has received until recently, seems like The Master! Pure gut, and I'm hesitant to follow pure gut (unlike keys?). To be honest, I also feel like Strax would be smart to play the same way. But hell, what role wouldn't benefit from a game of little suspicion and relative spotlight-free play?

I don't like the look of that out-of-place comma, there.. :eye: :haha:
Nice. I'm going to use that out-of-place comma in a future game in order to indicate that my post is a deception, a trick. I'll go back after it's done and reference the comma post, and this post, and reveal my awesome sneakiness.

It's gonna be awesome.

You forgot an apostrophe.
And an "of", if we're going to get technical. Unless he wants to cake a stripper's knee in heroin and then have it shot off.

Epig, I didn't think your case on Dom was that strong because I don't understand the basic assumption: that Dom or Nijuu has to be The Master. Why can't Hedgeowl be The Master, or Keys?
"Crazy Little Thing Called Logic"
But if you don't share the logic you are using, then we don't know if it's sound or faulty, so it makes it less likely that we will be able to put faith in your case. Did I miss where you laid out the logical information that leads to that conclusion, or do you prefer to just keep it private?

You're not wild in real life either. Boring ass English teacher who'd rather read Chaucer than shoot heroin off a stripper's knee.
Can't we do both?

And how will that feel?
