Who is the greatest swordsman in all of fiction?

I was in a baby car seat and my mom ran out of gas while going through an intersection on the way to my dad's softball game. She had to get out and some dude/dudes helped her push it out of the road. My memory is to see her get out and walk out of my sightline, and I thought she was going forever, I just remember the feeling and a false recollected visual of her walking off down the road. When I bring it up she says "I was JUST behind the car for a minute!!"

What's the most fun activity you have tried?

I don't like any old movies, never have. Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, Citizen Kane... bore me to death. I'll have to go with The Sting or Freaks.

What's the closest you have been to dying?

Life was simpler when vaccines were not broadly questioned. Now there's so much out there, even medical professionals, saying there's more risk than we thought. Other professionals say it's very safe. So now I'm "vaccine-hesitant" because I just don't fuckin know. I also could see it being a big disinformation campaign by countries that want to weaken us.

Is there any UFO sighting that is extraterrestrial?

I love popcorn shrimp, shrimp rings, breaded shrimp, shrimp in like a pasta or something, so many choices! Either a breaded shrimp like from a fish and chip place, or a crunchier breaded shrimp like maybe panko dusted.

Why do we have to experience our lives in linear time?

Who will win next month's election?

Best summer ever. Off work since March, government is giving me money to stay home. It's like a fantastic vacation. My productivity around here has been maximized, and I've been able to get to many art and woodworking projects as well.

How can I find a drive belt for my bandsaw when the company has discontinued its production?

Red for sure. Black is the evil. Except for some reason I can relish Sambuca.

Favourite alcohol?

Maybe once a month, I post some artwork I made.

What do you and your friends generally do when you get together?

Strawberries are king.

What's the best dream you've ever had?

Thank you, [mention]juliets[/mention] ... I love it more every time I look at it as well. And it's completely divorced from pride, because I didn't really mean to make it (because it was a straight-up paint experiment rather than an intentional image), and I don't know if I could do it again. Trying to duplicate it would almost surely take on some intentionality baggage, some glaringly obvious artist's hand.

As for the least favourite thing... well, I do have criticisms of most of my artwork, but each of them at least has some redeeming quality. Except this one. This one is a 1/4 finished, badly conceptualized, aimless piece of crap that I made almost two decades ago, and it's still hanging around. A little bit broken now, which only improves it.



What is your favourite historical artwork?

I'm gonna have to give it to my painting:



It's an experimental piece that I had intended as a trial, not as a keeper... but it became this tropical-flower, angled-view, waterfall piece that I love more every time I look at it. I don't know if I could ever duplicate it.

What's your favourite thing you have ever made?

Tough... maybe Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam.

Favourite Dominion card?

Cats, dogs, horses, etc... hairy mammals. Dust and possibly mold. Penicillin. Hay and straw. Rodent urine/feces.

Would you rather have stretchy powers like Mr Fantastic, or Invulnerable skin and super strength like Luke Cage?

Yeah, I keep one at my desk, one in my truck, and I take advantage any time it's available. I also try to avoid touching my face as much as possible, unless I know my hands are clean. That's just regular "I don't want to get sick" behaviour. I'm not concerned about Coronavirus.

Do you think money buys happiness?

I shave it all off.
