No, but like I said, you were so full of it and your suspicion of me has taken over the entire game. I think expecting you to give something other than what you have was fair. I also think it was a sort of a protest and calling your bluff vote, and he might also believe you're bad. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that he had to vote fast for some reason. I agree that he should have waited with his vote, but you really asked for it.

llama, I don't know if you're bad, but the way you've been handling things lately doesn't scream very civvie to me.

Re: Death Note Mafia [DAY 10]

I knew someone would find a way to twist this and make me look bad again :sigh:

I didn't know when the NK would happen. If I did, why would I say what I did a few seconds before.

Has anyone ever considered that there's a detective who doesn't want to be lynched because someone would die instead of them? Not that I'm saying It's me, but the fact people kept saying a civ wouldn't fight so strong about not getting lynched even if he couldn't, baffles me.

I said what I did because I was afraid that if by any chance Watari was already dead, if L was targeted, the detective roles that can't be lynched, would be lynched, and if I were a baddie who found out a possible unlynchable detective, I'd wait for very close to the deadline with my kill, so most people already vote for that detective and won't be as careful with their lynch because it won't go through.

FZ seems to have seen that coming. She's Light, gave up the note to Higuchi so she wouldn't be lynched, but now Higuchi can be.

Now, if you're anything like me, Epi has been the obvious Higuchi for most of the game, and he has tried to take cover behind making it look like he's just a regular Yotsuba. I do not believe he's a regular Yotsuba (and even if he is, for me, that's not a loss, which I hope I've made clear by this point).

So... Epi already thought FZ was probably Light, and was pushing for her lynch to make her give up the note, so that he could get it?

Are there any other good Higuchi candidates? Anyone who has previously survived an attempt (that isn't FZ, if we're working under the assumption she's Light, which I can accept and work into other things I believe) is a candidate, but I don't think it is any of them.
My read of Epi is that everything he's done has been driven by a desire not to be lynched or Nked. If he was Higuchi and thought that FZ was Light, it would be the last thing he'd want to do to get her lynched. Because he'd be invincible without his DN.
What about winning though? Does it make sense that Higuchi could be an unkillable role the entire game and win?
So when I said it before, you had nothing to say, but now you've decided to suggest this option? And if he's Higuchi, I don't think he can even know who Light is. In any case, I'm not Light. But you, are just all over the place. Name one person since the game has started, that you called baddie and actually turned out to be one. I mean a Kira, not Yotsuba

You disagree because you would never do it? Then you haven't hosted enough. Good Lord, I've seen some whoppers and people bragging about it in BTSC.

I'm NOT saying that's Bass' thing. I'm just saying it happens more often than you think. I've seen people lie about having friends over. I've seen people lie about the power being out. I've seen people lie about having schoolwork. I've seen people lie about bad weather.

It happens. Often.

I myself never lie about real life stuff either in a game- that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Well, I guess I judge people by how I play, and I expect more from people. It saddens me :( But I still think there's a big difference between saying you have friends over and saying your suspect list suck because you had a death in the family

Re: Death Note Mafia [DAY 9]

If I'd had a death in my family I would just stop playing to be honest. It's not worth the tension. In the game Epi looked at in K-site I left the game after my friend just died. I couldn't handle the game. While I agree that we can't let outside stuff affect how we judge people, it's only natural, and maybe it has affected his game. I think for the sake of the detectives as much as for Bass, we should give Bass the BOTD for another day and just lynch me

Bass, I get RL had a serious effect on you. If you tell me that everything you've done is because of RL, I'll be telling people to vote me instead of you. But it's not only what you said earlier, it's how you're acting now. You seem to be catching up, and your reason for voting me seems crappy at best.
So let me ask you this. Why are you fighting so hard not to be lynched is you are going to survive?
I thought it before I said it would be a waste because I didn't want it out there that I can't be lynched, and when I got fed up I fought it because the whole point of revealing it was to prevent a waste of lynch. If anything, that would be more reason to fight it.

Meh, I don't feel too comfortable with my vote for Bass, or with lynching him. I'm okay with you voting me to prove I was telling the truth, and we look at Bass. Shitty outcome, but whatever

I get that. Hell, I even told TH earlier that his RL issues make me feel like maybe voting for him would be lynching the wrong person, but while I get not being able to catch up, or not giving all you got, I can't accept half excuses for a vote, and he's been doing it again and again

If I'm wrong, then I get more information to try again next time, assuming I live. That's how this game works. And the only information I get is the public kind, so :shrug2:

If I'm wrong, people telling me I'm wrong, I'm going to be sorry, I'm going to look stupid, I'm going to regret it, I'm going to have egg on my face, I'm misguided, how will I feel when, I'm ignorant, I'm stubborn- none of that is going to do diddly to change my mind.

If you want to show me I'm wrong, a logical counterpoint is where it's at. I don't respond to insults, tuants, and what ifs.
Look, I'm sorry if I insulted you, but just remember how you felt that day in the beginning of the game when people were contemplating voting for you. You got defensive. I've had to deal with this from day 1, and it's affecting me. It shouldn't go to personal remarks, but I feel like I've done everything I can to show you I'm not bad, yet you're twisting it to fit your theory. I guess I get it, I've been in your shoes and I've done it too. There's really nothing I can say that will make you change your mind and you know it. I've also tried to find other baddies. I've been the first to call Elo bad, I've voted for Mata and said I thought she was bad, yet you're not seeing it. I really don't know what else I can do. If I thought me surviving that lynch would actually convince you I'm good, I might have wasted this lynch and went with you on it, but I don't. You have decided I'm bad, and when I survive this lynch, you'll convince yourself that I everything I did was from a baddie's side.

And no, I think that we're at a disadvantage here because the only weapon civvies have is lynches, and we barely have people we can lynch. So how is wasting another lynch going to help? If you were a civvie in my position, would you tell people to lynch you, or would you fight it?

linki: FZ, I'm already doing everything I can to ensure a detective victory. I want the detectives to win this game. Baddies win enough games on this site as it is. And it's because civvies don't try as hard.
Believe me, I'm trying the best I can, and I actually do feel like you're doing that too. I also agree that the civvies don't try as hard. Pfft, they're even saying that if I were a detective, I wouldn't try as hard to avoid a lynch. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. So, since I do want to listen to you, what do you think is better, voting for you or for Bass? On one hand, I don't think you'll get enough votes. On the other hand, Bass' RL issues make me fear that maybe we'll be lynching him wrongfully, though he really isn't doing anything that could be considered helpful. Still, if he's not bad, we need him even for the numbers. How sold are you on him being bad?

I'm not 100% convinced about Bass yet. I would really like to hear his response to all the suspicion that has been piling up on him. So if you're not convinced about him being bad yet, vote for me instead.

I think I already know who you are, and I think you can win with the detectives, and I don't mind trusting you because you've baddie hunted more than most people in this game, so letting you talk to L could benefit us. My only problem is that I don't know your win conditions and I'm not sure if blindly trusting you is not dangerous. Can you honestly say that you would do everything to help the civvies win?

And what does MM mean?
He wants Mikami to kill himself and stop the lynch. Or he wants us to think he wants Mikami to kill himself and stop the lynch.
How would that serve his cause?

I don't know FZ, maybe the fact that he's specifically said he doesn't want to help the detectives?

linki: FZ, I'm already doing everything I can to ensure a detective victory.

Re: Death Note Mafia [DAY 9]

Also, did MM just try to hint that Mikami is not around at this point? If he's not lying, that would make BR, SD , Zeek or Bass Mikami. Am I missing something?

MM, why should we trust anything you say?

Man, I agree with MM, people don't want to listen to anyone but themselves.
llama, other than lynching me, do you have anything that is actually productive to say?

Assuming MM is what people think, if he were to get BTSC with L, do you think he'd be allowed to out Light to him? Or whoever else he knows is bad? Would that be in his favour?

You didn't reply to any of my rebuttal on your first case (me + MM = love) either.

Unrelated to this, if you have only this angle about who Mata could be, you might want to look into a totally different, alignment-wise, but equally significant possibility.
I didn't respond to your rebuttal because it became clear to me soon afterwards that I couldn't get you lynched right now even if I tried. I have plenty to say about your rebuttal if you'd actually like to hear my thoughts on it, because your response only served to convince me further that I am right about you.

And thanks for your answers DP. Good to know where you stand.
TH, can you explain to me, in words I understand, what is going on with MM and the Mikami thing? Is he accusing DH of being her (or is it him)?
DH said that he wouldn't lynch me unless I outed my teammates. His comment was perfectly timed with my plan. :nicenod:
That was me, not DH, or did he say it too?

I believe MM is Ryuk. Maybe his secret win condition is that he has to reveal his role as such, which would require lynching him again.

He's also trying not to share any suspicions so that we can't figure out who is and isn't on his team. Voting for himself tells us nothing, which is the way he wants it.
If his win condition requires an extra lynch, would he be that obvious about it? Why would we help him? If it's in fact his win conditions, I'll go with it if he reveals who Light (who he has BTSC with) is.
What the heck is this even? Isn't that outing? :disappoint:
Well, I didn't mean it at face value, but right now, he's doing nothing to help the civvie cause, so I see no reason to do anything he's asking. If he wants us to help him, he needs to help us. I agree with TH that he's most likely Ryuk, and that he's been trying to make it quite obvious. He could have done a lot better.

Okay, just so I know, aside from me, who are people's top 2 suspects?
I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.

And I know FZ. It's ridiculous. Nobody wants to talk about suspects, they want to sit back and follow the lead and hope that victory comes to them.
Out of the people who haven't been lynched yet (I mean attempted lynches), Bass is obviously a big concern, and I think it wasn't a coincidence he didn't vote for Mata, and I'm still worried about BR, although at times she strikes me as genuine. Still. she's nothing like the BR I've gotten used to seeing.
Also, if I assume Mata is bad, like I do, and she's defended me against Epi saying his later "case" on me seemed manipulative, it reminds me of how BR is acting, saying she's suspicious of Epi. While I know I'm a civvie and at times I don't get why Epi won't even consider I might be telling the truth (which every once in a while make me think maybe he has an agenda), they don't know I am a civ, and his reasons maybe the best out there for lynching a player. I don't think they are being genuine in their suspicion of him. This may include SD as well, though she came off more genuine, so I don't know
