Oh it's Sorsha for sure. I don't think we win that game unless she fools Golden and gets him in place for the recruit.

It didn't have one while I was there. The marketplace was continually refreshed with new items.Draconus wrote:I'm pretty sure I5s marketplace had a cure for poison. Why not take it from there?
The item I chose was the warp potion, which ended up being essential to kill Epi since I could track him down and warp to his location.

Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 16
I woulda checked out that island if I had had any time to explore. I knew there'd be something juicy in the hard to reach areas.
I spent my first few days wandering around a bit aimlessly. Went to J10 first because I thought there would be something neat in the corner, and found the dagger. Through Sorsha, I knew that I5 had the marketplace so I wanted to check that out. After that, all my moves were dictated by the team's mission. I teleported to Epi to stab him and take the Star Gem. Then I had a decision to make: head to the Healing Springs for the poison cure (thanks to Golden for the tip ) or run to the Statue square to recruit Dom (thanks Epi for letting me know where he was ). I decided it was more important to recruit Dom since I still had the lynch pardon. I wonder how things might have played out if I had cured myself first and then recruited Dom. I probably still would have used the pardon to save timmer, but at least I wouldn't have been implicated myself in the process.

juliets, I suspected you before we got info on you. Like I said, for me it was more what you weren't saying than what you were.
I did not enjoy trying to get you lynched though

Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 16
It was dumb luck that timmer ended up there with you guys. But we knew we had to execute the double kill if we were going to do it at all, for exactly the reason you mentioned.sig wrote:I was so close to not going on the same square as Epi and instead going in the opposite direction.
I had the feeling one of us would die, I was hoping timmer would've killed Epi and then I could have gotten Timmer lynched and brought Dom to life. Though I didn't quite trust Epi, until we were both dead.
This was a really fun game, thanks for hosting. My role was awesome.
So much had to come together for that to work. I found the Obsidian Dagger on my first movement, it was hidden in a black chest in a square named the Corner of Death Then at I5 I purchased a warp potion which allowed me to instantly move to Epi's square and stab him in the face.

Thanks for the great game LC and BR. It exceeded all my expectations. Well hosted as always.
And this was one of my favorite teams for sure. Getting BTSC with Sorsha again after I betrayed her in the first World Apart, and then watching her swindle Golden for days, it was beautiful.

I was pretty sure baddies were stalking me toward the end, Mac and HB died really soon after I'd been speaking to them. On that note, I wonder if anyone ever noticed there being two of me on the map. Yin and Yang were only a couple of squares away from each other when I died the first time.

Haha, yeah. Other than assembling his original circle of trust which we promptly massacred, civ Golden was struggling. I'm sure he would have figured shit out eventually. But we gave him a higher purpose.MacDougall wrote:Golden managed to have a baddie from both teams there claiming they were confirmed good, and one of them brought their puppy with them.

But then they had sorsha, and I felt better since she was my buddy and she pulled the wool over my eyes good. I felt she deserved to win, so I fought for them.

I mean that *is* WIFOM, SVS. We don't know who else was around. Maybe you had no other kill targets. To say that you would never attempt to kill someone in the same square as you... how could you as a civvie know for sure that you as a baddie would never do that? And why did you get on my case for using WIFOM to defend myself, but when you do it it's okay?

I think it makes a lot of sense actually. Mac voted for me and died right afterwards. As far as I can tell, looking at voting records and Mac's post history, Mac never voted for SVS, so the Golem could not have killed Mac if he's protecting SVS.
If there's one silver lining to being lynched today, it's that the Golem should have plenty of good targets after my role is revealed.
Good luck civvies

Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 13
If you think it's possible that you can be "more or less" 100% sure about something, then you're the one who doesn't understand the phrase. I did not need the definition, I know what it means. You're using it wrong because those two things are mutually exclusive. You either think something is 100% true or you don't. It's basic mathematics.Golden wrote:It has a very plain meaning. I gave you a link to both the definition, and then I explained exactly what I meant and why I said it. The fact you are still harping on it does not look good for you, in my opinion.Turnip Head wrote:He said he was "more or less 100% sure" Bass was bad; as I've been harping on, what does that even mean?
More likely, I think you used "100%" to get people to think you had info, and then said "more or less" to give yourself an out. If you wanted us to think you weren't sure, you would have used a percentage less than 100. You used 100% several times that Day.

I don't know what you're insinuating. I read the thread. I was trying to figure out what Sorsha and Golden have been referring to. They say they want to lynch SVS but they need to lynch you first.

I would be up for that too... who do you think is the best first lynch if we go circle first...
The thing is... if SVS is trickster, and with MM in the field... I could see it being 3 v 3 right now, and one team has a potential serial killer. Thats why I think going that way isn't a bad idea. I wouldn't advocate then immediately lynching SVS the next day... its a tight needle to thread.
and this oneTranq wrote:Cabal? Yes.
MM's role? No. The game can perfectly end with a civ win and with MM still being alive. MM wouldn't win, but the game would end

See I thought Golden had info on that same lynch. He said he was "more or less 100% sure" Bass was bad; as I've been harping on, what does that even mean? He hedged his bets there while still sounding confident.
I think if Sorsha is bad, it's likely she is working with Golden. So what do you think of Golden? And where has Golden been during this crucial lynch?
I could vote for Sorsha though. Would you consider voting that way too?

If you think Sorsha is the Thief... well how long have you thought that? You haven't mentioned her until lately. When did it strike you that that role could potentially be baddie?
You did not comment on that post at the time I made it SVS... what do you think of the point I was making with it, that Floyd's role does not seem baddie in nature?

Because as I've said before, I was never really dead. I don't know why he hasn't killed more, maybe the Golem is trying to be discerning. Maybe he's not paying enough attention. I thought maybe he was dead, soLoRab wrote:If Gollem were protecting you, th, why have we only seen 1 gollem kill? And wouldn't the gollem have changed to sk when you died briefly?
In theory I have no problem with this, but I thought we were going after Circle today.Tranq wrote:@ TH: Hmm. If the Golem is protecting you, then you shouldn't have any problem voting SVS today, right?
I don't think that makes sense. Literally everyone voted for Wilgy, why does it make sense to use the Trick on him? What would a baddie flip for Wilgy have told us about anyone? What did a civvie flip for Wilgy tell us about anyone? I don't see anyone making cases or earning cred based on Wilgy's flip.Tranq wrote:If the Trickster is responsible for Floyd's flip (which is an if), i'd say it was to give Draconus or DFaraday some cred. They had been voting Floyd with me since i got rezzed and started voting Floyd. I feel like i can trust Draconus so i'm considering DFaraday as a possible dead Cabal. A better use of the Trickster ability would've been to mask DrWilgy's flip.
My vote is currently on Golden. Can we talk about Golden? Maybe Sorsha right there with him. You, if the Trickster is on the Circle team. fingersplints? She says I've given up... where has fingersplints been lately? She has barely participated and we're getting down to crunch time. Why are none of these players even being discussed? Maybe because they're all on the same teamTranq wrote:TH: You say my logic for going after the Circle today is sound. Who do you think Timmer's 2-3 teammates are? Where do you think your vote is going to?

After thinking on it more, you're right, I should not have even said anything The drunk is strong in this one. Help the civs Obi-Marmot, you're our only hope.
I only said it because I want to picture the terror in the baddies' eyes as their best laid plans go to shit by getting the facts wrong It's basic mathematics.
Why does everyone think you're protecting SVS, Marsh?

Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 13
Wait, you guys think MM is the Golem, and that he's protecting SVS? Is that why you're voting MM over her?
Because I don't think the Golem is protecting SVS at all, I think he's protecting me The Golem killed Mac right after Mac voted for me.
MM, if it's true, and if I'm lynched, I know I can count on you to avenge me. Don't hurt my boy Draconus though, I think he's civ. I think Tranq fed him a pack of lies in square chat tbh. Hard to defend against these baddies if they're talking about me behind my back. Anyways I don't know that the civs have much of a chance after Golden led us like lemmings off a cliff, but maybe a serial killer on a rampage isn't the worst way for us to get back in this game.

Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 13
See, I don't think Tranq is a civvie at all I think he's on the same team as the Trickster, and they fudged Floyd's flip to lure us into a false sense of security. I do not think Floyd was bad, but he flipped bad, and Tranq was his harshest critic. As such, I doubt that team is only down to one member. His logic for going after Circle today is sound, but he's going after the wrong target in me, and he might have an ulterior motive in trying to keep SVS alive.
Tranq, do you know how you were rezzed? Who brought you back2lyfe?

Still waiting for someone to, like, build a case on me or something. Repeatedly calling me a baddie won't make it true.
