I had bad luck with timing too. I thought this game would start well before Game of Champions would, it didn't. I also thought that the crazy game over on NF would take a while to fill up, but they cut 10 roles and started early instead. These three games starting right around the same time isn't quite what I signed up for.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:Marmot -- I think you also suffered a little bad luck, because that Day 2 lynch developed late in a way that is very difficult to contain. You asked about the interactive analyses: I found them to be mostly inconclusive. You do well to reveal little. The most I got was some strengthened town reads like Sloonei said. You didn't out your teammates.
That's reassuring. Despite my inability to surive very long into games, I'm at least still good at not spewing my teammates.Sloonei wrote:huh? I was surprised that I almost weasled out of that lynch. I probably would have gotten beyond the beginning of the game otherwise (aside from speedchuck's role that is).
Question: How well did interactive analysis work on me in finding my teammates? You guys posted too much for me to keep up.
I didn't learn much from the interactive analyses with you. You are, after all, the King of WIFOM Mountain.

I'm also disappointed in you, Sloonei. I'm glad you backed off of Scotty, since he's been hinting all game and that's part of why I believe he's probably town. But I thought you had said a couple pages back that you'd also be willing to vote for INH or Marmot, and now you don't seem to be considering that at all. I wish you would consider switching to Marmot, especially so close to the deadline when we're not even hitting the soft lynch threshold and he's our best shot.
lots of linki. Sloon can you give reasons you think MM is town?
I've seen no reason not to view marmot as town. He's provided his thoughts and been inquisitive at points in the game. Not all the time, but I wouldn't expect him to be. What reasons do you have to read him as bad?
2) My suspicion of him has a lot to do with INH and a couple other connections.
3) One little thing that pinged me was that jokey reference to the fakeslip after the night post, the "still 5 scum" thing. Someone, I forget who, teased him with "well how do you know Wilgy wasn't scum?" and I honestly think that's a fair catch. This is a rather weak point because it was just a joke so may not mean anything, but tbh I think it increases his likelihood of being scum because he automatically knew/assumed Wilgy wasn't.
4) I'm sure there was something else but it escapes me in the current frazzlement of the thread.
Plus, as I also said in that post where I decided to vote for him, I think that he will be a very productive flip in terms of determining other alignments; if he flips town I will feel kind of bad about it but we'll also still learn quite a bit. As INH has retorted to me, lynching Dys would have the same benefits, but (a) I suspect Marmot much more, and (b) would feel less bad if he flipped civ than if we lynched a civ Dys because Dys has been participating way way more than Marmot.
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a scum marmot.

Your last rainbow says otherwise.
If you two are scum (yes you are lumped together), you have GIGANTIC BALLS to be pulling all of this. TBH, I almost think I'm wrong about Dizzy now. Almost. Not quite.
I can hardly keep up with the posts right now.
Scotty is my most confident read too.
SL, I believe you now because of the reveal that you have more vigs. Falsifiable and unbalanced as scum. Good for my read, bad for your survivability. Protectives take note. Wish you hadn't said that.

I mean, so did I. It's been ~6-7 years since that time. After playing consistently here for the past 3 years, my info-dumping skills are pretty out of practice.Sloonei wrote:You've played in games and in a community which encourages info dumping before, even if it was a while ago.Quin wrote:I want Sloonei to say more about how I should be familiar with info-dumping setups.
Do you deny this?
I'm having trouble finding this game. There was Mafia of Unfortunate Events where she was my mafia teammate. She was lynched Day 5 and had 87 posts while alive. Then there was Monkey Island where she subbed out Day 1 (or 2, sometime early). But she was a civilian in that game. You were in both of these games, which is why I mention them.Jackofhearts2005 wrote:You mean that game where Epi tried to lynch her day 1 because she didn't want to play and talked about how she might not have an info or BTCC role cause she wasn't invested at all? I don't like this post. I don't see how he can conclude that I "benefited" from suspecting Dizzy. He also has Elohcin's meta wrong (which I described above). I get that he hasn't played here long, but I can only recall one game recently from Elohcin, and it's the same one I described in a previous post, it was one of the most active games I've ever seen from her.
Additionally, there's the nightkill analysis. But that is very minor ping, dependent on his answer to my question.

How did you benefit? Meant you looked better in my eyes. Or are you looking for how it did that?
