Wouldn't it have maybe gone to LyLo if Town wasted a day lynching you tho and you'd nightkilled a civ instead?
I think there'd have been 9 players including 2 baddies on Day 7.

Then 7 players and 1 baddie on Day 8.

In hindsight, holy crap this game would have been tough to win. We had 3 mafia against 17 civilians and an independent (who was also a civ sympathizer with a lynch stop and a rezz).

tl;dr

Long Con, Sorsha, and I were teammates. We were cruising along until Sorsha took a ton of heat and Long Con sort of scumslipped around Day 6. Sorsha was lynched that day, and Long Con looked terrible coming out of it.

So I suggested we nightkill him to protect his identity and play the rest of the game solo. :3

See reactions after his death.

Re: Downton Abbey Mafia (ENDGAME)

I forgot to mention. I was against the idea of killing Epignosis because he does get nightkilled so often as a civilian. I liked the idea of giving him a chance to play the game out. Also, I know he doesn't get lazy in late-game situations (usually), so as mafia I know he's one of the few people who will discuss, and because he will stay open-minded, there's potential for mafia to talk themselves out of being lynched with him around.

In fact, I don't think I've ever been on a mafia team that's nightkilled Epignosis. :ponder: Gonna have to change that habit before I get caught.

I also don't think I've been on a mafia team that hasn't nightkilled Black Rock. :P

Why no kill? Why kill your teammate?
The no kill: I can't remember why. I think just to give the protector something to think about or maybe direct some negative attention to towards low posters.

The Long Con kill: I kinda explained that one already. You guys were set to lynch Long Con after Sorsha went down. Long Con came into the chatzy a bit crestfallen, because he was in a heap of trouble himself, but it was mainly because BR had caught him. So I said "Hey, why don't I just kill you and we'll see what happens next." I know it is a far from ideal strategy, but we were teetering on the edge anyway. I was of the impression that the best we could do is throw a wrench into the town plans.

And it actually worked to an extent. You and BR looked on in disbelief and didn't know where to look next when he was nightkilled.

I remember you saying in Turf wars you would kill Silver if you were mafia. She was also a threat.

But we also knew people would only vote for you if they believe it. Several players did not follow through on their blackmail, so we got to take their powers for a night as a result.

I was actually immune to a lynch on Day 8. We blackmailed Scotty and took his power, so that was the main reason I faked being blackmailed. I didn't actually think Epignosis would be lynched. I thought people were going to turn on me for my play.

I also didn't realize that Epignosis could choose his target's new targets. I had to be careful on the last phase about Lorab, because I figured out Illy was silenced around halfway through the day, and there was no way Lorab would have targeted Illy on her own. I knew Epignosis had to have redirected Lorab's action, but I thought it had randomly gone to Illy.

But seriously, if you truly aren't mafia, then who do you think the remaining baddies are?
I believe it is Scotty and ika, and you after that.

In my mind, Epignosis cannot be mafia, and Illy is likely not mafia.

As I mentioned about ika before, he's been done nothing the past few days except vote for Epignosis, himself, and on the day Sorsha was lynched: Illy the counterwagon.

Then there is Scotty. He claimed to not be a power role when the only vanilla role was lynched Day 2. His contributions have been defenses of himself, and a request to lynch me. He hasn't posted in over 24 hours. With his own neck not being on the line, he is coasting too much today. So is ika. Scotty was more active at the beginning of the day when he had votes.

I changed my mind, I'm voting ika. I'm not putting up with this plan of voting the "safe" option because it's bullsuit.

How would that make you feel about your current voting suspicions, if this were true?
That's the main point that makes me hesitant about you. MM's posts this past RL day have made me feel worse about him and my vote may go in that direction.
It's these kinds of posts that make me think "She's bad."

What specifically about MM's posts this past day made you feel worse? What did he say? Why?

Just vaguely nodding and going, "He made me feel worse" makes me feel worse about you.
Sorry, I had about 5 minutes to be able to post and didn't have time to elaborate.

In short, it's partly tone and partly that he's gone back and forth on everyone, seemingly hopping onto whatever name comes up at a given moment. His accusations and posts read as disingenuous to me.
Alright Lorab, this is a post you made about me yesterday, and the first accusation I could find from you against me all game.

I have not been hopping onto whatever name comes up, seemingly or otherwise. I do try to make a meaningful vote on a daily basis... usually.

Why do you think it's bad to "jump on lynch trains"? I know lynching a civilians isn't a good thing, and it doesn't look great when a player does it, but in my opinion, it looks worse to not have any part in lynches, regardless of who is lynched. Constantly placing your vote elsewhere is worse because that means you are avoiding getting your hands dirty. This is a common mafia strategy, and Sorsha is a perfect example of this.

Looking back, the day that you were supposed to be lynched, Sorsha didn't vote on either of the bandwagons, but voted for Long Con.

Re: Downton Abbey Mafia (Night 8)

Epignosis, do you think the Doctor is still alive? The role not the player.

Only 2 of those bad reads could be right. I really don't think I'm wrong about Illy and Epig.
Thanks for the GTH Dom.

Anyone else?
Mine looks exactly like Dom's except substitute him as a civ and take me off.

What about yours Scotty?

I suppose that was a possibility too.
Scotty wrote:I feel like we could benefit from some GTH reads.

There's just a huge amount of doubt I have in calling anyone civ in this game. I almost never last this long in games, and if I do it's because I'm Mafia or doing a horrid job as a civ. I feel manipulated, and I don't know who's pulling my strings. It's quite an annoying feeling. I spilled coffee on myself and I still feel better about that than this.

Logic is telling me MM must be one of the last two baddies.

But it could be illy/Epi for all I know. It could be ika/anyone else besides Epi. Could be LoRab.

Epi, do you think LoRab is bad? So far your track record this game has been piss poor, and you did ask me to consider Matt yesterday. If Epi is bad, GG Mafia, MVP goes to all the meta-callers that keep calling him civ like they share BTSC with him. I've deduced Epi has BTSC- it would make the Wilgy claim make sense- but it's to be seen if he is Mafia with Mafia mates defending him or civvie with civvie mates defending him.

I don't know. I'm no power role, so I don't know shit.
I'm in the same boat as you Scotty. I haven't been nightkilled much lately because I'm an awful civilian.

Also, everyone in this game is a power role, except for one. :ponder:

I believe I did, but I'm on my phone right now so can't go back and get it at the moment.

Right now I am leaning civ for Ika, LoRab and probably Matt.

That leaves me Scotty and MM.

Scotty, why not just vote for MM? Unless you are protecting him....
You know, I will vote for Mm. I have a hunch, plus he was my first gut read as scum in this game.

Vote MM
Well that's convenient isn't it?

This isn't the worst thing that could happen today, but it's certainly not the best either.
What would be the worst thing that could happen?
I'll let you know if it happens. ;)

Quick story from GoC...

it was one of the many crazy lynches we went through, and motel room was on the chopping block, I had my vote on him. I think it was motel room with 6 votes, someone else with 4 votes, don't remember who.

We have, literally, like 10 minutes before the poll ends, and Wilgy's in chat like "Ummm hey Matt are you going to move your vote off Motel room or what?" And I'm like "naaaah man, sure I can move it and it'll end up a tie but I don't wanna risk it, I'm gettin' some civvie cred". Wilgy's like "ummm DUDE WE HAVE AN EXTRA SECRET VOTE THERE WON'T BE A TIE!!!" and even then, I was hesitant to move it but was convinced to do so.

For real, especially with Sorsha's non play this game, I would've bussed her ass to the moon if we were teamies.
I was talking about the part where you got BTSC with me, and fed me this bullsuit story about your civ role. :P

Where's Epi on your list? Since your vote is on him, I'm going to assume he's a red, as well.

Why do you have Dom in green, what do you think of Dom not mentioning Sorsha until day 4, and when he does, his order goes "joke about Sorsha being on a team", "discredit Nero's suss of Sorsha", "suss Sorsha"...1 2 3.
Oops, I can't believe I forgot to put him on there.
