It's complicated.

Hal targeted lipsticklacey. That means lacey targets herself, which means she was actually targeting you, which meant you ended up targeting yourself, thus taking yourself off the poll. :omg:
Well, it let me get away with one of my more boneheaded mafia moves without getting lynched for it.

Re: Angry Birds [Day 5]

Here is a quick summary of every player left alive. (Actually I excluded myself, Made because he is probably Chuck, and Russti because he's not on the poll).

Boomslang - On Day 1, he defends Russti lightly and goes after LoRab for defending lacey for being new. Elohcin talks him down from this. He eventually votes MP for self-voting. On Day 2, he admits to not being as active as he wanted, but justified his vote for MP. He agrees with DF that we should look at Elohcin and Spacedaisy for their Day 1 votes. Then he calls out MP for self-voting again, and finally votes for llama for being weird, acknowledging that MP's behavior could indicate he is/was the bomb. He then disagrees with MP's tactic of asking for GTH reads from players, though Boomslang did offer a decent rebuttal. On Day 3, he looks at the Tinybubbles case, but acknowledgs what Russti said that the driveby votes don't indicate anything from a player. He doesn't agree with the suspects of the day, so voted llama again. On Day 4, he voted Made with little reasoning, but said he had time constraints. On Day 5, he makes a case on LoRab and votes for her.

DFaraday - On Day 1, he says he feels good about boo and Scotty, then votes for FZ. On Day 2, he says he will look at the Scotty bandwagoners (specifically Spacedaisy and Elohcin), and says he feels good about lacey, but not as much about LoRab. He then votes Spacedaisy for her surprising Day 2 vote. On Day 3, he defends the suspicions of fingersplints, and states the Elohcin is his biggest suspicion. He then votes for Elohcin later on in the day, but says that TinyBubbles and lacey are the players whose fingersplints suspicions looked disingenuous. On Day 4, he states he thinks that MP was onto something which was why mafia nightkilled him. He then votes for Elohcin again, but says he's okay with a LoRab or Made lynch based on MP's thoughts. On Day 5, he doesn't mention any specific suspicions, nor does he vote.

Ugh, sorry, I don't have time to do the rest of the players. So here is the most incomplete recap ever.

Russtifinko wrote:Hmmm, only one person off the poll today, and it's Ninja Blooper. To me, that MAY be an indication that our protector was NKed on Night 3, and that the piggy protector is the only one left.

Since they can't have known they'd killed the bird protector, it makes the most sense to me that the piggies would protect one of their own, not knowing it would be revealed. I am actually nearly as convinced that Blooper is bad as I am about llama.

As an aside, it's really nice that it's so clear who's bad and who's not in this game. Piggies bad, birdies good. Simple. These games with well-meaning "baddies" are confusing. :P
Or said player is still alive, and happened to also target nijuukyugou. Not that it matters either way. We have Gale left, probably four mafia left, and 6 civilians left.
thellama73 wrote:Question: is it possible the baddies got ahold of the egg and have been passing it around amongst themselves? We might find a clue by who was removed from previous polls, since Blooper is definitely bad.
There is one civilian role and one mafia role that can remove players from the poll each night.

What makes you say this? Besides Blooper today, everyone who's been of the poll could've been put there by the baddie or civvie remover.
Because my theory is that the baddies have obtained the egg we passed around at the beginning and are distributing it amongst themselves. I will say that Blooper is the one I most suspect though, based on her posting content. She's very under the radar this game, which experience teaches me means a bad Blooper.
I agree with this, about the egg, which is why I'm not fully confident about Made's role. I 'm not advocating to lynch him today, but I also don't trust him.

I want to hear why Lacey had been planning on voting FZ (she posted before the last lynch end that who she planned to vote for was off the poll--and she was the other person off the poll). I am fairly confident at this point that she's bad.

And I kind of keep forgetting that Blooper is playing, so I agree under the radar.

I don't know boomslang at all, so don't really have a read there.
This is super far-fetched. We've never heard anything to indicate that the golden eggs were used beyond Day 1. More importantly, Epi's post said there were THREE of them. Do you really think Epi would make a mechanic where baddies could get access to powers that make them unlynchable and can be passed around indefinitely??? You're of course assuming they would have to be passed, because otherwise the host would have been creating three unkillable roles based on a Day 0 contest, which would either decide the game or make it unendable. That means it's a virtual certainty the baddies would eventually get all three, and it would be impossible for us to win.

You two are both SO BAD. Hopefully the rest of the civs will see through this thin veneer of manure disguised as theorizing and join me to get llama.
Russ, you've done a complete 180 on llama. You were agreeing with everything he said yesterday.

Civs don't have a lynch stop, but there is a role that survives the first lynch attempt.

His surviving gives me pause. However, I'm not entirely convinced. He was on the site last night, and I can't see a reason that someone would be on here and not post, when they saw their name was being mentioned. Especially a civ. Even if they knew they would survive, someone who has a lot of suspicion is likely to at least post some sort of defense/alternative. A baddie might just leave it to their teammates to do for them. If not the civ role, then perhaps he had a golden egg?

linkitis: @Made: Do you want to offer any sort of defense to anything that's been said about you?
Ice bear believes that actions speak louder than words. (he also hasn't read thread yet...)

And yeah, kinda logged in, then got distracted by college type things, but cleared the schedule for a 4th quarter mafia power hours...of course said power hour apparently started 2 hours too late...

out of curiosity, what kind of mafia move is it to log in, read thread (and chatzy of course), and just yolo it?
I do it occasionally. Usually I have things to say when I'm reading, but sometimes I just pop in on my phone to read while I'm at work or in between classes or something.

FZ. wrote:RIP MP :(

Really sad to see you go. You were really an asset to the game.

This hasn't been brought up, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that MP was killed because he said he (or I) would be killed. Some people on this site have exactly that sort of twisted sense of humour. Just saying.

MP did make some good points, but I also want to bring up llama again. I don't see civ llama here at the moment. Where is the llama who goes after people really strongly? Where's the llama that pushes people? All I see is someone who on the first day voted based on a hunch (a bad one), on the second day, failed to take into account possibilities other than the baddie was not here and voted for TB who was an easy target. While I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he voted before we discussed the Eagle option, the next day he voted for TB again, with a drive by vote, for what? doing the same thing he did?

And now, when MP is dead, he's trying to feed us with the theory he was killed because he nailed the baddies. While that might be the case, there are more options. But what bothers me most is that llama just threw that theory out there, but isn't naming any players he actually thins killed MP, nor is he talking about anything.

I think we're looking at a non civ llama.
llama, if you are a civ, you're welcome to prove me wrong. We need some civvie contribution here. If not, I might vote for you.
I actually thought MP was Gale, so my theory has been discounted. :(

I am civ, but not especially interested in producing "proof" since I know that such a thing is not possible without violating the rules of the game.
Lynch Made. If he flips bad, you know that I am either civvie or a baddie who will throw teammates under the bus at the slightest provocation.
I didn't mean that kind of proof. I meant I wanted you to talk. I have no problem lynching Made...I think. But instead of telling me to lynch him and wait for the consequences, I want you to tell me what has he done that's made you feel you can't trust him.
I buy MP's argument, and I buy that the baddie team would kill MP because of it.
I do too, and I don't think you are bad. The stunt you pulled on TB early on in the game, I believe you would only have done if you are civ, or teammates with TB. I disagree with the sudden turn on you just because you've been gone (which you confirmed in the Recruitment game) and not been participating.
DFaraday wrote:I'm sticking with *voting Elo* since she was my prime suspect even before MP made his list. I wouldn't mind LR or Made getting lynched either, but I haven't read back to find anything pingy about them other than MP's post.
I'd rather lynch fingersplints, but Elohcin is my second choice. I'll probably be following your vote.
nijuukyugou wrote:It's been busy, and this evening's stupid busy in a good way, but I gotta get ready to go.

I like MP's points about Made. It was pointed out by someone that he had exactly 4 baddies in The Game, which I didn't notice at the time but find very unusual and calculated, like the person who said it. I was also thinking that while talking like Ice Bear amuses me and civs will pull that stuff for fun (and Made would be the type to pull it), it's also a way for baddies to avoid suspicion in plain sight. I know these things have been said; I'm simply agreeing. We'll get info from Made. So voting that way.

Sorry for being so rushed and dropping in and out for this game - I'm still getting used to not choosing my own schedule and it kinda hurts :P
I don't agree with your reasoning here. I don't think having four mafia in the game would make someone bad. Saying that civilians and baddies would both pull the same stunt isn't something that can incriminate someone. I guess you're following others' posts, but why are they posting as such?

I wish I had more time to read and make a case, but I don't.

You're exaggerating MP, but I think she was being genuine. I'm pretty sure this exercise was new to her, and the fact that she continued to make baddie reads even after she realized she had eclipsed the mafia team's number makes it genuine.

I've never participated in this exercise before either though. I've just seen it done multiple times.

Dirty smelly kids and husband aside, I appreciate you breaking the tie, but I don't like your reasoning for it.

EBWOP: bye Spacedaisy.

Oh, that changes things. I missed that part of Gale's role.

I could do without one. :p

I agree with that statement. Not ready to lynch her today (I have an overly developed sense of personal guilt), but I am thinking in that direction, as well.
Why not? You gave her D1 at least.
Because I feel like a brand new player needs 3 games, before they realize they love the game and will come back for more. And to also get a grasp. She's one of my closest friends. I have no problem killing her when the time comes, I just need to , personally, give her another day beofre I feel ethically good about doing so.
It took Cookie 3 games to figure out she hated being mafia and quit. :(
boo wrote:MP was just forced-vote by someone who thought it would be funny to make him a hypocrite for a second day in a row.

If he were the bomb, he wouldn't want to be lynched this early since it's just a random voter who gets taken down alongside the bomb, and at this point, that would more likely to result in 2 dead civvies in most situations.
With MP's spike in activity, this becomes more believable. But what civilian try to force other players' hands like that to make their behavior look "suspicious"?

Or Spacedaisy's vote was forced? Again, same argument with MP, because I don't think anyone suspected Made on Day 1.

On further review, I think I find llama most suspicious. He was among the Scotty voters without much justification, and he seems to have deliberately misread the role blocking of last night to justify a vote for tinybubbles. I don't know what to make of Daisy's vote yet, and the possibility that MP is the bomb makes me pause before voting for him again. So I'll go ahead and *vote llama*
Here's the thing: This is a classic Llama civvie game to me, agro someone hard day one, get himself lynched day two (Read Ice Bears post history for proof) . From Ice Bear's perspective, Llama seems to only get himself killed when he's civvie, and has no team to defend, so he act however he pleases, regardless of where that might get him.

Ice bear feels as if no one acknowledged the suspicions of boo. So Ice Bear will place his vote there today

MP seems very sketchy, but ice bear isn't ready to lynch him yet. Maybe a day 4th quarter day 3 1st quarter day 4 MP lynch depending on how he plays.

oh woah, lots of post Ice bear will respond to direct messages then finish reads.
Here's the other thing. In the very last speed game, llama went baddie-hunting like crazy on Day 1, and caught Sloonei and got him lynched. He was subsequently nightkilled that night.

You are not entirely correct.
