Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
USPS has FINALLY delivered the package to its recipient, as of yesterday. Yay! Hopefully, things are still good and it sat in a cold facility while waiting for its arrival.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
So crossing my fingers that my package actually makes it - it's the only one I sent out over the holidays that still says "in transit," according to USPS.
I hope it's not lost, and my apologies if everything is less fresh than it should be. Rawr.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Hey hey hey, despite the crazy delays with the USPS, @Boomslang and I got a package in the mail yesterday!
We've sampled everything, and as is our wont, we'll be eating everything in small chunks and pretending it doesn't count as whole cookies or bars of chocolate, because it doesn't Everything is delicious, and I was definitely craving more of the s'mores bark, even as I was working with chocolate ganache in my commercial kitchen today. Thanks, @nutella !

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
I (and possibly @Boomslang, although we may just be a package deal here) are interested. He'll have to weigh in
I wonder if we can set a price limit that also takes shipping into account? Pandemic + life changes = not as much extra cash lying around, but I love giving a few fun things from where we are (and what I make for a living)! I think there was some sort of suggested limit the first year (something around $20, but it wouldn't have to be that), but I haven't seen a concrete one since then in the thread unless I missed it.
Totally understand if people want to keep limits off, and we can participate another year. Yay, holidays!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
I was just thinking the same thing myself! Good lord, it's been a busy couple of months. Our Christmas was nice, especially the part when we came home, ate snacks, and watched MST3000 with the cat by our damned selves. It was glorious.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Never fear - it's been a very busy holiday season, so my recipient won't have gotten their package, as I haven't sent it out yet. Rest assured, however, that it is assembled and just needs to be boxed and mailed!
That being said, my package arrived today, hooray! I did not find a note, but I believe it was from speedchuck, who just seems to keep getting matched up with our household (and correct me if I'm wrong, please!)
I've already eaten two of the peppermint patties and a chunk of the chocolate bark because I have zero self-control when it comes to either of those things, and we're digging into that tea tomorrow morning. Thank you so much!!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
It's here, it's here! My gift from G-Man Man was waiting for me on my doorstep (along with a new pair of running shoes, not from G-Man ), which was a pretty exciting thing to come home to.
Tasty snacks (I'm currently eating the pretzels, because pretzel chunks), a card game I'm sure Boomslang and I will play and get mad at each other for winning at and keep playing, a Pennsylvania Dutch cookbook with old-timey recipes that I'm super stoked about, and a lovely handwritten letter explaining it all, as well as some fun historical and etymological information about G-Man's neck of the woods.
Thank you so much!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Ah yes - meant to warn you about that mustard, especially the honey mustard kind! It’s so stupid good, but it burns like hell. They have three flavors (honey, chipotle, and regular) that are all excellent. Glad everything has been as enjoyable for you as it is for us!!

Epignosis wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2017 7:22 pm Well, what I got made me angry.
Yes, angry.
Angry because I was just at the grocery store and did not buy pork.
What I got needs pork.
Yes, pork.
Particularly ribs.
And pork was on sale.
But I didn't buy any.
So I can only look forward to the Ninja BBQ sauce (I see what you did there, you sly blooper).
I already consumed about a fourth of the hot sauce on my homemade nachos tonight. It was unexpectedly sweet and predictably delicious.
There's some unidentified dessert in a Ziploc bag, but I haven't sampled any, so I do not yet know if I want to live in that bag.
Then there's the matter of the horny mustard. I did not know mustard made people horny, but that's what people who didn't have the Internet believed, and now the Internet says it's true.
I'm going to slather Eloh up with the mustard and give her the old "seventh inning stretch."
I friggin' love you guys Glad you like it all so far!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Wooooo, got my package yesterday from the lovely Spacedaisy!
So many delightful Tex-Mex treats and ingredients to play with (and a free message telling me what to do with all of the bounty )! Of course, we traveled to my parents’ house just after I opened it, so we don’t get to play until we get back, but something to look forward to.
(Oh yeah, and I noticed after I cleaned everything off the table that I forgot to put the pecan coffee in the pic. But oh, it’s definitely there, lurking in the background.)

Apparently it's got a boozy aspect to it. I've actually never had it, but have seen it so many times at the farmer's market and have wondered, and figured it was perfect for you I hope it's tasty!bea wrote: I gotta ask about the jelly. Is it still boozy? cuz man, my auntie lives in NC and I've had some mason jar with fruit in the bottle shine.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Meant to post this ages ago, but am just now getting to post after all of the holiday traveling (and am actually still in the midst of travels )
I was lucky enough to receive my present in person from MovingPictures, as we were both visiting Cincinnati at the same time
Freaking amazing cookie dough balls and mint chocolate cookies (the picture was taken before half of them were eaten), and some excellent jams that we're very excited to try. Yay, presents and visits!
