Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12

It has been brought to my attention that Violet are in fact Violet. I am shocked and in disbelief that our American school system would teach this bold face LIE to the young impressionable minds that will make up the future of america. I am currently starting a petition to have the poem that my previous post was based on to be banned from classrooms across the country. Please stand with me. Also Rezz.

A poem:

roses are red
Violets are blue
but that's kinda silly
because violet is the name of a color
and that color is purple, not blue
someone should totally rezz me.

Ok, I got boned work load wise tonight of all nights, so bare with me. Real life has to come first, but I can put mafia above at least some of my bullshit classes.

I agree with Most people's reads of Epi; aggressive and overconfident, but not definitively baddie.

Made has been defending him as I have mentioned before, so if we assume Made is bad then we can also assume he wouldn't care about defending anyone unless they were on his team. Just my thoughts for now on last nights crazy lynch.
That conflicts with almost every theory that supports me being bad, what?

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 4

Ok, so here's how it went down:

I've thought Enrique was civvie all game and still do. Everything he said, while imo very misguided, seemed genuine. When he survived a night lynch I had no choice but to read him even more carefully, like everyone should of. I read him multiple times and I was even more sure that he was civvies. Epi's argument seemed strong, but based on my own read of Enrique, it seemed contrived to justify his view point. I didn't want to call it out because I figured based on the suspicion I got for criticizing the argument Juliet, that directly disagreeing with Epi's argument would get me lynched so I let the arguments against him ride. When it came down to me and Enri in the poll, instead of attempting to defend myself, I let the lynch happen figured more would be learned that way, and I was right. Instead of voting Enri and turning the gun on him day 5, I voted me.

I didn't know I was going to live, but I know why I did.

We, as a town, are going the wrong direction; so consider this a hostile take over.

There are a few things that really are fucking with me, that I figured now that i'm front and center might actually get addressed.
1. Why are we not at all concerned about Eloh's save, but care so deeply about Enri's
2. Why do we no longer care about the Azure voters?
3. Why do we all trust Epi?
4. Why have we allowed LC and Black Rock to avoid the radar almost completely?
5. Really tho, what's so confusing about my argument against Dom?
And perhaps the most illuminating
6. If you did, why did you choose to vote for me.

While it looked like one, I don't think day 3's lynch was a save. I honestly think suspicion surrounding it has more to do with the fact that everyone who voted just got echo tunneled hard.

Leave questions as well as answers to the above questions and i'll get back to y'all tomorrow

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 4

ok, so i've tossed this idea around in my head a few times and it makes sense to me, and i think it's ready for presentation. I think the lynch was a self interest save. The fact that zeek was the first to vote Snowdog supports this. Many players trust his Judgement, so subsequent votes to him make sense to me. Most of the people who voted snowdog are people who have I haven't criticized, or even directly supported.

I don't want you to be lynched. While I'd like to lynch Snow Dog, I think it's too late to pull that one together.
So he wanted me lynched, but wanted Snowdog lynched more, and changed his vote when he realized a Snowdog lynch was feasible? This isn't an accusation, I just want to make sure I'm understanding this right before think about this further.

I disagree. i didn't look guilty. It seems you eagerly jumped on the opportunity to put votes elsewhere other than yourself. Anyone other tan yourself. Not very civ.
I didn't vote for you? also you're alive??? Gonna reread because apparently i missed a few things haha.

Really tho, I didn't see a vote for you gaining any traction, just figured it'd be a good spot to pick up on for today for those still alive. When I left, I'm pretty sure zeek was the only one who had a voted for snow dog 1.0.

linki- in felt I attempted to play a more analytic game. Think before i speak. Since i tended to play the opposite in Monty/Misfits, i figured it'd ping people and create baseless arguments against me in order to remain fairly sus but avoid nks, but baseless enough that i could shake them still.

You also changed your tune. It went from, "Dom is just saying my name over and over again :p" to "you haven't said I was bad until now"!
You've wasting hours of my time during a stressful week trying to find and understand an argument that DIDN'T EXIST. By calling me bad and a liar in a in all caps, you moved attention from others to me undeserved, and made it difficult for me to investigate leads. This took me a hour to decipher.

Why? People are talking about others being blendy and Snow Dog has been the blendiest of them all. Maybe my vote will stay there, maybe it won't, but jesus Snow Dog you're not helping at all.
um...has Snow Dog avoided fire till this point? After rereading him he does seem incredibly off. He has a relatively high number of post, but has added very little to the game from what I caught on a reread. His reason for voting seem to mostly be based on the opinions of others, rather than his own.

You have repetitively said my name(which, subjectively could be read as you attempting to create a case against me, without actually doing so), but you have never specifically said "hey made is bad" until one post ago. The only reason I brought up semantics (specifically about the usage of the word bad) was because you decided that me saying "I have a gut feeling about you" was not enough, even tho it implies that i think you're bad. I don't personally care about whether or not you specifically called me bad. You seemed to, so I attempted to reason with you by using what i understood as your perspective.

The awesome thing about Forum Mafia vs Party Mafia is that everything is on record. If I am a liar it can be proven very easily using my post, so if you would like to actually structure an argument about me on that, be my guest.

Today is not the day Dom. I'm not in the mood right now for bullshit arguments or politics. Either make an argument about me that isn't based in hyperbole and vague quotes or go away. If you need an example of a proper argument, please refer to below.

My argument against Dom
Admittedly, my reason for now voting Dom is based on his accusations against me, and this cognitive dissonances(of my own) is pissing me off. Rationally I know that he thinks i'm bad, and is therefore attempting to frame me for a lynch, a alignment free thing to do-- civvies find it necessary to lynch people too-- however, his hostility and lack of logic and ability to see reason from my perspective is making it very difficult to see him as anything else but a baddie trying unrelentingly to get me lynched.
Are you remotely serious right now?
There are no words for how vacant and vacuous this post is.

#1) I have ZERO memory of scolding you for saying you have "a gut feeling about" me. Seriously? Did that even happen? When? Where?
Dom wrote:
Made wrote: No real read on SVS or Dom, but gut is saying Dom, probably just because he's gunning me, so i'm ignoring it.
What exactly does this mean? Your gut is saying what about me? Who was this a response to?
I interpreted the multiquestioning as aggressive doubt of my use of gut feeling, rather than actually saying the words bad or suspicious.[/color]
#2) I have repeatedly voiced my intention to vote you. You are being beyond ridiculous. Yes. I think you are bad. Yes, I solicited other people's opinions of you because I wanted to start a dialog about you. What are you missing? What are you actually arguing? What the hell are you trying to prove?
Nothing, I'm replying to your post. As i said above, The only reason I brought up semantics (specifically about the usage of the word bad) was because I thought you decided that me saying "I have a gut feeling about you" was not enough, even tho it implies that i think you're bad. I don't personally care about whether or not you specifically called me bad. You seemed to, so I attempted to reason with you by using what i understood as your perspective.
#3) You ARE a liar. You have blatantly misrepresented my claims against you. This is especially apparent in this quoted post.
I didn't have a full understanding of your argument until i went back to you reply to zeek. Call me hard headed, but throwing quotes at me doesn't resonate unless it's explained.
#4) I am making an argument for your baddiness based on quotes you have said. That is how this game is played. If you do not want to partake in it, you cannot complain about this. You cannot fight back. You must just sit there and take votes.
Differences in game philosophy. *shrug*
#5) Please, Made, tell me what are my logical and cognitive dissonances? I have pointed out several of yours. Please, do tell.
i was commenting on my own cognitive dissonance. I felt you were bad because you were accusing me which rationally felt off, but you seemed to not be listening to my defenses which, imo, were logical. While I stand by my logic, I can't stand by my vote which i made in frustration. I don't understand your gameplay style but that doesn't make you guilty.

I have so many pages to catch up on, but just saw this as the last post. I was one of two omg so close to voting but just missed it by 30 seconds voters. I will be around later before the polls ends and can answer questions then.

Linki up the wazoo, but ditto to Elo for reals yo.
If this the main reason for suspicion against Hedgie, i'm pretty sure the exact same arguement came up against her in felt (Hedgiebaddie hedging bets I think llama put it) and she was civvie in that game. So she either a strong understanding of her own meta or just playing how she normally would. I've never playing in a game with an actual Hedgiebaddie, So those more experienced with reading Hedgie viewing her as bad is more damning than the argument itself at this point in my eyes.
(Linki @Juliet- Missed Roxy's argument because i just reread Hedgie. Interesting interpretation of Hedgie's action so far.)
Gonna put away some homework, then come back to reread some more mafia post, specifically the argument against MP.

However, he then said he MISREAD what I had said. how did he both miss it and misread it?
In addition, Made says that he missed my explanation for why I thought MP was being hypocritical.. however, people WERE waiting for an explanation on my Enrique vote. It makes me think he saw that someone was waiting for an explanation from me, and just assumed that was it. It's sloppy mudslinging if you ask me.

Just read SD, but not in the context of thread. MP, I have a question for you.

What exactly is your philosophy on role hinting and role claiming, and the logic behind this reasoning?

Finna hit up homework, See'yall at dinner!
I'm confused, what do you mean by not in the context of thread? You mean you read her posts in a row isolated from everyone else's?
Yeah, Just clicked in thread and hard read them

Why do you ask? I presume because Daisy was hinting at having a less important, or particularly vanilla civvie, role? You know, it depends. I feel role hinting, when pursued in a more subtle manner, can be an effective tactic for a civvie to take, or even for a mafia to fake. I've done it before myself in both situations. I'm the type of guy personally that has trouble reading between the lines a lot of the time, and it sort of explains why I act the way I do, and why I play a very literal game. So I feel that if I can, in the course of reading the thread, detect a blatant role claim, because I often have trouble picking up on role hints until they're revealed to be obvious, then depending on the circumstances I feel conflicted. If it is a genuine civvie role claim, sometimes they push the boundaries too much, since it borders on breaking the game (to come out and say, for example, "I am K9", if I was Epig).
Does that help? Not sure if that's what you were looking for.
Yup, answered very well. The reason I asked was because of your immediately claiming the reasoning for your survival. It just sounded like something you'd be against.

Hi Dom and SVS!
Been keeping up, but I'm not feeling any suspicion right now. Dana, Mp, and Enrique are all reading civvie for me, especially since Epi died. I'm not sure if it's helping or hurting that I know all of them outside of mafia, but they're playing exactly how i'd expect them to, perserving all the tiny quirks in their behavior that seem to hint at their allignment.

I thought that the vote on Daisy was an attempt of a save on Epi, so in light of his death i'm looking more critically of the arguments against her. This, if true, caught my attention.

Oh, before i forget, i don't like the premise of the question you asked zeek. I'm not down playing to avoid getting lynched and i'm not baddie either. it's not either or question. Honestly i'm kinda surprised I wasn't called on this earlier.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Others are saying this is not typical play for you. So surely it is an either or question. Either you've changed to tact as a townie to avoid being lynched as its what normally happens, or your play is different because you're not a townie in this game. OR you're disagreeing that your play has changed at all.
This is the first time i've played this way(well kinda... it's a variation of my felt game). It's not because I don't enjoy giant head shaped targets- I do- It's because i want to explore different fassits of the game. (also I was setting myself up for the "omg, made isn't playing like an idiot, he's totally mafia" in felt mafia and nothing happened, so i'm kinda a little taken back tbh.)

According to the poll archive, Made didn't vote.
