Plus, a huge amount of "Oh yeah, I just reread that player you mentioned and he/she defo seems bad!" just went on in response to Lot's "Hey, I think you guys should look here!".
That's my uninformed after not being active in this game analysis.

Jeph, you were a gentleman and a scholar for taking my suspicion of you so calmly all game.
I honestly thought you were trying to lay low and avoid me for dubious reasons, but you were just being classy.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER VII]
I must be speaking another language. Because I'm not understanding how multiple people can interpret three/four sentences so far from what my intent was.Belshazzar wrote:"Ruth bussing Uzziah doesn't sound like what a teammate would do, so I'll feel comfortable voting for Rachel instead, on which I had almost no opinion on throughout the game"Rebecca wrote:What about the post wasn't good?Belshazzar wrote:His vote for Rebecca comes for a post of hers that isn't good.
There's still plenty of time. I can very well die instead of him anyways, I'm sure.
Rebecca wrote:You did, but I don't think I did a thorough job explaining myself in the first place.Jephthah wrote:This is Rebecca's post before her vote last day
She talks about how Ruth voted to maybe save me by sacrificing Uzziah. Says it's not optimal but it happens. Then she says that because I didn't have any votes, she's not voting me. Why didn't she vote Ruth?????Rebecca wrote:Ruth was the 6th vote for Uzziah when Jeph had 3, and also suspected Uzziah throughout.
Save one baddie by sacrificing a teammate is not the most optimal situation for a team, but it happens.
It looks like Jeph tried to push Samuel with 3 votes on Uzziah already, and that may have backfired when other votes were cast for Jeph himself.
However, he has 0 votes at the moment. And in lieu of that, I feel most comfortable about casting a 2nd vote on Rachel, most likely to be his and/or Uzzy's teammate who had to vote to sacrifice him.
Did I misinterpret what she said here? I might choose Rebecca after all.
My point was that her vote came before a save would have even needed to be fathomed. There was still no clear indication that you would be option #2. Isaac and Jonah pushed it closer after that. Which is, in part, why I looked to Rachel out of the 3 final votes for Uzzy.
So again, I was iterating how Ruth in essence (and I now believe inadvertently) forced the need for the baddie team to decide between Jeph and Uzzy, after (what I believed at the time) Rachel and Jeph hoped for another name to take on more votes.
My logic may be horrible and idiotic, but it's certainly not a ruse.

Hey guys. I certainly don't deserve to win the game; I won't pretend like I do. My participation has been bare minimum and I don't know how well I would be performing even if I had increased time to study the thread.
However, I'm glad to still be alive and hope to redeem myself before all is said and done.

Going back to square 1. I'll take a chance and believe I'm right about Jeph being bad. Everyone's playing pretty soft going into these lynches and I feel that contributes to the disappointing results.
I urge others to follow through logically on their reads of him too.

^ThisBelshazzar wrote: I am also considering voting for Mary Magdalene for her instant vote on Rachel. I know it was my suspicion she latched unto, but after Rachel's admission of oversight, I have no more claims about it and I believe everyone should have waited for such a reply first. Mary hasn't really addressed this or her move, instead giving a different angle to the debate (the contribution weight on a player's alignment), which is frankly sort of evasive.
*voting Mary*
And lo, the Lorb said to Rebecca, she shall have more time the next day phase! For the busy year will be over! And she shall build more cases. And it will be good.

I feel you on this oneDeborah wrote:Hey everyone, I've read through the thread. I can see how my posts look blend, but it's a matter of life imitating art. It's not that I've tried to sound like I care but don't, it's that I've posted the honest intent to get active and participate but then my life has gotten in the way and I've had to make snap decisions.
Between Rachel and Mary, I haven't been able to come to a conclusion on which I feel less comfortable with. I'm still keeping tabs on Jeph too. He's been a frequent participant, but I looked at his defense of Rachel and thought "Hmm, is he defending a high poster in an effort to paint a picture that all high posters must be defended? Maybe to include himself in that group?"
Rachel was the one who voted for me on day 1, right?
And now that Paul's out, everyone else in this game kinda blends together in my head, and nobody else stands out.
Linki: Well it seems my point about Jeph has been iterated before I got a chance to iterate it.

I'm tempted to do this too, but I feel it may be wise to use the time I do have to quickly review what's going on right nowStephen wrote: Voted for myself, for being such a terrible player. I'm really going to have to find time for this. It's just been a long week.
I see thoughts that Cain's been silenced, and I would imagine that's a possibility. Whether it was done to him in earnest or to create a ruse is the important distinction.
Jeph still doesn't sit right with me. I don't see him taking any stance of a sort today either, just more vague semi-defensive statements to keep appearances up whichever way Cain flips. He seems to be subtly expressing desire for a Mary Magdalene lynch, but isn't invested enough in it.

Yeah I'm voting JephJephthah wrote:Still in the middle of the catch up. Two things that I noticed are a lot of people are seeing my flippiant behaviour as suspicious, and Paul vs. Lot back and forth.
Well, I admit it, I'm enjoying the sock identity. It's freeing, and I for one intend to enjoy it. I used Paul's terms because it was fun trying to get you to guess whether I was new or not. Busted.
"A lot of people" paints the picture of an imaginary bandwagon where there was none (I believe only one other person quoted my post and acknowledged it positively. There was just as much backlash about it from Rachel, and that actually resulted in a vote for me) and also attempts to diminish the seriousness of the OP when he does not directly address it
His reaction is somewhere between outright dismissive and the over the top one that I saw Cain have a few posts ago

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]
Please refer to the first sentence I posted.Rachel wrote:Rebecca, so you think Jephthah might be bad for defending Paul? Wouldn't the link to go after, in that case, be Paul?
But if I believe both to be co-conspirators and they both have 0 votes against them, what would the difference be anyways?
I have doubts about Paul's sincerity Re: noobiness too. But I do have reservations about the potential of lynching a new player asap, be they good or bad. If he's bad and we can catch a teammate first, that's just as solid, in my opinion.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]
If Paul is truly new to the ways of our flock as he claims, then I would feel bad to lynch him early in the game.
I mean, I'd feel pretty bad lynching anyone. I'm a pretty peaceful Christian.
Host: Can we attain sainthood by making martyrs of ourselves?
But I would be interested in exploring Jephthah more. I look at the vocabulary in his posts and it seems like at times he has the air of someone who's comfortable playing here
And his one post that's not defensive or supportive of Paul

And others, like he's picking up the terms used by Paul, possibly through osmosis that goes beyond the thread? An analysis of two posts with barely something in them? Either you feel it or you don't. There's no way someone can logically and methodically accuse another person of being bad based on that and come out looking good.
While the vote feels like a tactic to me too, it can easily be a valid tactic. Samuels' post seemed scummy to me too, especially the ridiculous question in the end, but the first part felt like him trying to convey: "I'm cool, I have nothing to hide". One way to try to push Samuel is by voting him and doing it fast. Nothing like pushing someone to the corner to get him talking. Worst case, Samuel comes in, eases his mind and he wasted a vote which has a high probability of being wasted anyway.
And his one post that's not defensive or supportive of Paul
strikes me as flippant, forced, and not all that determined on a follow-up.You have voted early and maybe hastily wasted a vote.
You have not really given solid reasons for your vote. By your standards of d1 and how this game should be played, should we now vote for you? If not, why?
