Perhaps in the interests of sharing the load we could endeavour to take one person each and quote-share key interactions - we don't all have to reach the same conclusions, but having some quotes for interactions and whatnot might help all of us.
There was a time when I would have wanted to do all of them but I don't feel like I have that kind of time in this day phase.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 8]
That I have done no compatability reads on anyone left. And I feel tired thinking about the need to do them, but I'm gonna start tonight, because I think tell me a lot more than my gut.
But, for the hell of it, my gut list from 'least likely to be scum' to 'most likely to be scum' before I undertake the reads is:
Vivax
Elo
Sig
Sloonei
Vivax, I've had a gut read on for a while - I like his hunting. He presses, but he doesn't give all his cards away.
Elo, I've had in my town core since her possible town slip, but I haven't been paying attention to her.
Sig, I've never eliminated from my PoE based on what's happened in the game - that's not the same thing as a scum read though.
Sloonei - Given the scotty flip, sloonei is not a mason as I thought he was all game, and there's some specific stuff in the way he interacted with my mason read that I need to revisit but don't have me feeling great right now.
I just realised it's kind of ironic that Elo and Sloonei are both still here and alive given day 1.

Btw I do very much appreciate all my friends from round two too… scotty, llama, Sloonei, marmot, Jay etc… but that’s not what this game feels like it’s about.
And I appreciate meeting new faces too! Come play more with me.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 7]
Vivax, reminding me of one epic moment in my mafia history, has made me feel like this is the moment to reminisce… I don’t know how much more mafia I have in me, and I feel like this might be the last game I play with many of my long time friends. So please indulge me a little.
@bea we talk often anyway, but I’m so glad we at least got to play again. I’m still expecting that co-host one day.
@Kate i did not believe I’d ever play mafia with you again and it makes me so happy that this happened! And this game made me remember why I missed you being around.
@S~V~S I’m so glad you subbed in. We’ve had plenty of tunnelly fights in mafia over the years but I wouldn’t have it any other way - I love your perceptive guy play and you are formidable as any affiliation. One of my great regrets is not trusting you more in Survivor, I think we would have gone to the end together if I had.
@LoRab youre a constant reminder to me of the Lost bond that brought so many of us together. Lostpedia may be the role in this game, but STV was just as equally a community built on the back of Lost, and I always feel a kindred spirit.
@G-Man i know I’ve mentioned this before, but you were somewhat of a legendary figure to me *before* my mafia career, given I’d seen you around on STV for so long. I love how fate intertwined our mafia identities to some extent through that one Econ gambit.
@DFaraday I’m not sure whether you were in my first game but, I at least remember coming across you early. We had so many’tone-setters’ in those days… mafia was remarkably kind… and you are one of them.
Speaking of kindness, Heiots might be number one. She retired from her mafia career without ever being lynched (or NKed maybe?) I remember asking her to sub in to a confirmed baddie role for me, as one of my teammates had to pull out and we needed her vote… but I had to promise her we had the win on lock and she wouldn’t die! I think that was superman mafia.
And I miss Sophie. And blindfaeth. And manu. And the dutchies. And Cfan and matahari and long con and black rock and flyin high and dom and more besides. These were good times.
Econ was one of my favourite games. Not only was it a fun performance, it was a bridge between classic old school mafia and new school. Role madness, with Jay teaching me how civilians could take solving to a new level.
I’ll never forget King Arthur. I wish we still had Rev Mafia to go back to. If Econ was my best performance, perhaps King Arthur was my worst, but it certainly set my early civ meta apart. Asking everyone to lynch me when I was literally King Arthur because I thought it could lead to mechanically guaranteeing baddie lynches the next day or two due to the Excalibur mechanic, only to discover the baddies had stolen my sword, if I recall correctly. Lol.
And there were others. My arrival as a civ in Superheroes, where we all played in socks and no one knew who I was yet. I remember there was a guessing contest for who was in each sock and the responses to who was in mine were very flattering… it cemented trust in me as civ for a long time.
Futurama as Fry. Biblical mafia, bullets over broadway, mooby… so many games with good memories. Some that I don’t even remember what game it was, just a thing that happened. I feel like ‘alive to win’ game conditions seared a lot of those early games in the brain, because you really wanted to solve but remain lynchable. I just couldn’t get the hang of remaining lynchable to begin with, I provided win equity to the civs in so many games I didn’t win.
And lastly, BSG, my hosting magnum opus. I never forget people who turn up for my games and I appreciate it, and people really did TURN UP for that one.
You know, after I played grease mafia 12??? 13??? 14??? years ago I was so inspired I immediately drafted Indiana Jones mafia. I still haven’t hosted it yet. Maybe one day!
Long live this third mafia career (no, short live it most probably… but at the very least I’m glad to be back here and feel happy to participate again and I don’t intend to completely vanish… I have hosting to do.)
Lastly @Spacedaisy my brain twin, thanks for inviting me back!

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 7]
I think it's DF. I did comparative analysis yesterday and it fits.
I want to be motivated to revisit everyone, but my 6 year old has a tummy bug and spending two hours of my afternoon doing this only to find the game is over anyway just doesn't appeal. One of those ways in which my relationship with mafia has necessarily changed from what it used to be.
So I'm just gonna get the vote I know I'll end up making anyway out of the way now.
[VOTE: DFaraday] aubergine

Wilgy, you’ve followed sloonei’s votes a lot this game, that is to say you’ve been voting in the same place as him often rather than that you’re sheeping him.
I’d like to know whether that’s coincidence or something else (trust, tactic… whatever it might be).

I don’t want a scenario where dfaraday is just auto elimm’d tomorrow without discussion. So keep up the solving and pressure on golden and wilgy just in case.
THe crux of my continual tinfoil is this: a duo consisting of those two would have to be deep wolfing. Even ONE holding back from bussing other teammates one after another would look suspicious (and I know you’re probably like ‘Scotty, your tinfoil hat is on so tight you’re ready to start spotting aliens in the barn’ but it would be a disservice for me to exclude all possibilities- plus who doesn’t love some good conspiracy theories late into games??)
Unless something absolutely bonkers happens sometime in the night (Socky’s, the map secret resurgence, etc) Pretty much all we need to do is continue the path we’re on. Elo is town, sloonei is town, viv is town. Clearing aside, they are ones i trust.
This elim is THE LEAST nervous I’ve felt in a while in this game, and frankly i’m exhausted lol so i’m all here for it
If i die tonight no one tinfoil scotty. The town core is string,

It’s not important that I explain why *not* wilgy… I’m lynching who I think *is* mafia.
Michelle > wilgy for me. I read Scotty’s Michelle/Quin interactions and did my own Michelle/G-Man interactions. She looks compatible to me.
I’ve had good vibes on wilgy this game and his votes on g and Quin are good… not determinative. I also like the way he’s been sheeping sloonei. Seems like for some people, Sloonei is a good person to sheep.

This is IRL stuff and I’m not asking for it to be a crutch or change your read, just please note that regardless of alignment it affects how I engage. I’m not offended/bothered by being suspected for things that are within the range of things that can be explained by my neurodiversity - it’s an explanation, not a defence, so please don’t feel like you have to treat me too differently.
But some accomodations are useful in terms of your actual ability to hunt out my alignment.

More than half your posts in the last couple of hours (including this one) I literally don’t understand.
I don’t know what you’re asking. I need more directness.
As for ‘not looking dyslexic’. I try not to look dyslexic. It’s easier when I write on a computer than in handwriting, for sure… and autocorrect can help but sometimes hinder.
I probably made the post you quoted on pc not phone so I didn’t get the autocorrect assistance.
I guess what I’m telling you is that typos for me are NAI but in this particular game, that it took me so long to make one is actually a thing. You don’t have to believe that.

@Quin - no questions. But you do one major Scotty/eloh thing and it feels like you’ve been coasting ever since. I remember there was a game where I was mafia and I was false reading you as mafia, and you were far more reactive and defensive, feels like your approach to suspicion is to go quiet and hope I start looking elsewhere (don’t remember what game it was though) [VOTE: Quin] aubergine
Really need to reread that entire day LoraB got zonked
He was calling stuff ‘substantial’ that just wasn’t and absolutely wouldn’t elaborate on his reads.
He pushed into scotty/eloh to look busy at the exclusion of anything else.
There was plenty problematic on day one.

Also it’s not true that I backed off from expanding on it. I explained what I didn’t like about Quin.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 6]
I think you are misunderstanding my post significantly.Vivax wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 5:43 pmSo Golden wasn‘t trusting Quin on D1 but backed off from expanding on it saying ‚shrug, nobody thinks the same as I do‘, Sloonei claimed hard townread
Wilgy on the other hand seemed content with having you as the sorta obvious option, which you mentioned.
Would that make sense to you? Or do you have other players as suspects.
I did not suspect Quin less because others didn’t see it the same way as me. Yes I backed off - I have a history of trying to lead the thread and tunnelling. Me doing stuff like *listening* instead is something I’m deliberately trying to ge better at in this new mafia life. But backing off and listening is not the same as changing my read.
My read of Quin changed the period of time when sloonei reiterated a hard clear of Quin for about the fourth time and when Sloonei backed off on the read.
And if you’ve been following the role I think Sloonei has, you’d understand why.
Once it was cleared up for me that Sloonei wasn’t hard defending Quin, I was quite focused on him again.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 6]
My vote is lazy? I literally went and did associative reads for you and DF.Michelle wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 5:28 pmBea didn't post, so everyone said she is in antispew. Obviously, everyone was wrong.Scotty wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 3:22 pm @Michelle Let’s say you’re town- who is in your POE? Like I get you have to defend yourself, but so far I’m mostly seeing nitpicking defending to 2 people that have already voted you.
You know I’m town. Do you think Wilgy is slandering you as a wolf? What is your read on the rest of the players?
I answered at posts adressed at me with the limited time I had until now and I started the Quin Iso. You say I am nitpicking.
Town violence against town cannot be stopped by logic, I know that much.
I reset my reads. All of them.
Reasons:
I had Wilgy as town but he is pushing me without a reason. What he said that day 1 was not a real suspicion, has little value for me and despite he saying few times that he didn't notice Sloonei's vote, I don't trust that to be true. Wilgy looks like he needs a mischop.
You are the only player I am sure is town.
Golden's vote is lazy.
Sloonei voted Vivax, I belive he didn't know the vote is locked regardless alignament.
Vivax posted that idea about me shading you, it was probably a honest mistake and NAI. At least he had an attempt at solving.
Sig, Elo and DF are utr.
I am looking at the hour, is 23:24.
I want to try to solve though, that's the best part of the game for me

It didn’t fly over my head. That’s why I specifically pinged you. I wanted a reaction in the moment but you weren’t around.
I’m just impatient.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 6]
I can’t imagine Sloonei thinking ‘I’m safe with Scotty’… if I’d been asked who was pursuing Sloonei most in the thread I would have said you long before saying SVS.Scotty wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 4:34 pmWell as I said in a previous post when Michelle asked, it could be that SVs was closed down a path than I was. The biggest divergence being her suspicious of Sloonei, and, to a lesser extent, you.
But the more I think about it, a more likely reason is to avoid Kate Break. I was probably the most obvious NK target. And I would expect Kate Break, if still in the game, to go for me last night.
I don’t expect to survive another night.
So it could literally be just a doc dodge of another high profile civ voice.
Or one of you and Sloonei needs more scrutiny.
I also really think the tinfoil is noise getting in the way at this point. Towncore doesn’t need blind trust but I really think at this point ‘scotty surviving because Sloonei is bad’ is the least likely of about six reasons for the kill I can think of (Kate break being a prominent one).
Given the risk remains that you die tonight, I think your efforts being focused eksewgere would be much more productive.

I’m impatient and I have a busy day and don’t want to risk missing eod.
I realise this might be a clinching vote. I do think it’s the best choice today. Sorry if I’m wrong.

I tend to think the only world where Michelle isn’t bad is one where sig and df are trying to utr this.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 6]
Quin/DF
DF quotes Quin and replies to him once in a way that could be described as 'slight distancing' - he disagrees with Quin in a way that makes no difference at all
On the flip side - perhaps someone should double check Quin's iso, but I don't think Quin mentioned DF at all until he started having a go at me for voting DF and was trying to pretzel me for not having made a case on him a day sooner. I think he literally never mentions DF outside of this exchange.
I think there's a high chance that DF and Michelle are the last two wolves.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 6]
G-Man/DF content:
DF provides an unsubtantiated town read on G-Man
G-Man puts DF in his POE 'not because he finds him suspicious, but because I have no reason to townclear him so far'. Quite innocuous, but it is interesting that G-Man felt the need to expressly explain that he didn't find DF suspicious while putting him in the PoE. That's the way a PoE works, you should get out of it not in to it.
There's an interesting phiosophical question here - to what extent is treating a PoE like a suspects list rather than a list of everyone not towncleared alignment-indicative?

-I am not voting Sloonei unless Golden changes his mind on Sloonei’s townness
-I think voting DF is a non-starter. If DF truly is wolf, he will be best eliminated last once we’ve caught the 3rd wolf.
Therefore, I will be voting for sig or Michelle today. And sig I feel pretty ok about.
Why is Vivax in your town core
Let’s say Michelle flips civ then what would your read be on them
Let’s find out
