Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Five

Hey guys and gals and little green things,

It's Adama again! ISN'T ADMIRAL CAIN JUST A GREAT LEADER *mutters something unintelligible, coughs*. I'M SO HAPPY WE HAVE HER HERE NOW TO GUIDE US TOWARD THE FUTURE AND STUFF *you're not sure, but it sounds like Adama was armpit farting throughout that sentence*. She's even letting me take some time off to spend with the kids *prolonged spazzy screech*.

DON'T BE A TRAITOR. DON'T BE A TRAITOR. DON'T BE A TRAITOR.

So say we all

The president of the colonies has brought in a new law:

Revival of the Arts Act: As many of the arts of the colonies were lost in the attack, we must begin to add to our arts collection. Each day, one random player must post only in haiku.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Night Four

THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Ricochet was sitting in the CIC, Pepsi can in hand. The can itself was empty - he had found it in the trash, which unusually hadn't been ejected into space to ensure colonial relics were found and survived.

On an entirely different note, Scotty died, leaving in his wake a great absence of artistes in the colony. Thankfully, the president knew just what to do to compensate for that... (ominous music)

Scotty has died. It is now day 5. This day will last for 72 hours. The fleet may be jumped for the last half of that time.

Some lame ass-lynch post.

Polo was on his hands and knees in the weight room. No-one was quite sure what he was up to.

"Hey dude" Black Rock asked "What are you up to?"

"Just looking for ass-clues" said Polo.

Polo was shunned from polite society for the rest of his days. He could never figure out why.

LoRab has been lynched. She was D'Anna Biers. It is now Night Four.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Four

Some quick things:

One - the lynch post will be late today - possibly significantly - because I'm on an interview panel all day.

Two - therefore, I'm going to take the opportunity to pull back the phases slightly. The night period will begin at midnight EST and will last for only 22 hours, ending at 10PM EST tomorrow. The Admiral's powers will be functional for the second half of that phase.

Three - Dex is replacing DFaraday with immediate effect. Thanks Rabbit for also volunteering, I'll let you know if I end up needing another.

Yes, unless their win condition expressly says otherwise. This is about the survival of the human race. Death is death!

However - I guess this is as good a time to say it as any - there will also be two specific gameplay-based awards opened to public vote at end game, and those awards will also lead to win credit dead or alive.

I do not have any milk. Cylon cows haven't been invented yet. Also missing is beef. Those frakking cylons, destroying our cow supply in the attack on the colonies.

Laws operate from the start of the day phase on which they are introduced, although if it possible for someone to contravene one before it is posted on that day, then they will not be found to be in breach.

What major role from the 1978 series died in the attack on the colonies in the 2003/04 remake? How were they connected to another major role in the 2003/04 remake?

Adama has addressed the fleet:

"Hello again crew people and colonists and anyone else somehow not covered by those two terms,

This is your admiral speaking. We've been through some trying times in recent memory, and there is controversy swirling all around. I would urge everyone to maintain a level head and a mindset for fairness. Sometimes things aren't as blatantly obvious as they appear. They can be, but let's ensure we critically assess everything available to us before we pass judgment. This is a part of our honor code or something, right? I mean it should be if it isn't. Maybe I'll make a new code if I have to. I'm the freaking admiral after all. People have to do what I say.

Okay, everyone have a pleasant day! So say we all!"

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Four

THE ARRIVAL OF THE PEGASUS

Image

"... and thats when I heard him say, that Marmot, he is actually slightly better than entirely worthless" said zebra, as she and Matt dissolved into fits of laughter.

They were on their way back to their quarters. They knew that the Admiral had scheduled an FTL jump to a nearby planet rich in Tylium. It was necessary to restock the fleet's supply of fuel - without it, they could not hope to outrun the cylons forever.

The Galactica jumped...

"Sir, DRADIS contact" said Vompatti "I just thought I should say something relevant".

"Attention, unkown vessel. This is the Battlestar Galactica" said sig "Identify yourself, or we will fire upon you."

A voice came back. "To the vessel that claims to be the Battlestar Galactica - this is the Battlestar Pegasus. Identify yourself with recognition codes immediately."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Helena Cain was brought on board Galactica on a raptor. Everyone stood to attention as Cain surveyed them.
"Admiral" said Cain "you've done a fine job here. Your pilots are well trained. It's clear that the human race would not have survived in such numbers without you. I shall ensure you are appropriately honoured for your service as Admiral. However..." she tailed off.
The Admiral looked down at his insignia, and unclipped it from his jacket. "I believe this belongs to you." he said calmly.
No-one has died.
The secret role has been revealed to be Helena Cain. Helena Cain outranked everyone on the Galactica at the time of the destruction of the colonies, so is now the Admiral. She has declared martial law. In addition to any existing win conditions, Admiral Cain is imposing another. No human may win the game while any cylon is alive.
It is now day. You have 48 hours to lynch a frakking cylon.
To be abundantly clear - immunity does not equate to no lynch if an immune person is the lynch leader. It equates to none of the votes against the immune person being worth anything, and so them not being the top vote getter.
Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Three
FREEFORM
Having had so many successes against the cylons recently, the Admiral allowed many of the key figures in the fleet to have a rest evening aboard Cloud 9. They dispersed amongst the many pleasures that were to be had aboard the ship.
Sig and Metalmarsh went in search of companions.
Bea went straight for the bar. No-one was surprised.
S~V~S and DrumBeats were seen heading for the black market.
Daisy went to the doctor. She needed advice on whether or not her colon was civ aligned.
However, many members of the fleet decided to head for the open mic, where they had heard LoRab was going to break out some of her famed rhymes.
First, they sat through Scotty doing a well known monologue from the great Caprican playwright, Dominic Sheath. No-one remembered what the play was called, so they came to call it ‘the Scotty play’. SokothQultuq was impressed with the performance. “majQa’” he cried. Silverwolf was in tears at the beauty of the prose. Epignosis was asleep.
Then it was LoRab’s turn to take the stage.
”Yo, the Admiral might not network
But you can shove your CPU glitches
I’m not gonna take any more of your frakking crap
Cos I’m a cylon, bitches.”
LoRab dropped the mic and walked off the stage.
Shortly afterwards, an explosion rocked Cloud 9. It became apparent that it was an assassination attempt… and the assassination was entirely successful.
Nerolunar has been lynched. He was Saul Tigh. You have 24 hours to send in your night actions.
