I'm not lying at all -this was the one thing he did today1 he was MOST proud of. Even more than the lights. And every guy I've talked to about it has reacted like you. "OMG, that's brillant, I should do that!"

Exactly. Sure I have a massive debt, but week to week that debt doesn't cost me a lot more than my rent, and at the end of it I have something mine to show for it (and I won't have to be paying rent in retirement either).

I would actually like to see pics of the man cave/studio.

I did not buy my tomb. But I'm glad that I bought a house that I will be very happy in as long as I need it, instead of one that was a sucky compromise just to get on the property ladder. Because I really did expect that the latter was all I was going to be able to finance.

Built without council permission. You need that for any major works such as kitchen or bathroom to ensure things like electrics and plumbing have been done by someone who knows what they are doing.

That room is in the sleepout and it's an unconsemted kitchen which we will need to get consented. But, yes three bedrooms (plus one in the sleepout), we are hoping to rent out there.

So excited for you bea! All these things you can see to do with it! That's very exciting.
