The funny thing is, that people genuinely think you checked Matt, when we can freely say here in Spectator Chat that you, in fact, did not.

I should have probably been smarter and deleted your dead post right away, but I didn't actually think through the way it would be taken, because I knew you hadn't checked Matt. I just saw it as a genuine reaction to being lynched, given the circumstances.

I've been in a very similar position to you. The lynch seemed done, I went to bed, and when I woke up I was lynched because the person who was going to be lynched before that went and role-claimed near day end, and everyone flipped to me while I wasn't around to defend it. It sucks, but what are you going to do!

You played this one well, Floyd. I thought you were going to be about for a while and probably win the game for the civs, given you already had two civilians nailed and the baddies weren't even thinking of targetting either you or the people you knew were civ.

Yeah, the baddies all have fake role claims. You can't really do a setup like this without them, like someone pointed out if you all just say what characters you are the baddies would be immediately outed.

And yes, the baddies caught your role hint right away, from when you first did it. I think most people I got their role hints, but even though I knew what character she was I didn't get SVS one lol. It is quite fun watching SVS in this set-up, knowing how foreign the concept of info-dumping is to her mafia sensibilities. I wonder how she will feel about it at the end. I hope she enjoys it.

I was kind of surprised, given the theory in the thread that Locke could be smoky. I will admit, though, that before Floyd flipped cop there was some discussion of you being the likely cop.

That's exactly why I didn't design Locke to be the cop. Those who think the game design could be deduced from role claims must think I was born yesterday I completely expected some people to make decisions based on role claims in this game, and designed the game with that in mind. It's fun seeing that get borne out.
