Re: Zodiac Mafia [GAME OVER]

Some of my favourite things in this game...

G-Man naming a set of six suspects who he was happy to lynch and every one being right... but even more so...

Daisy saying "I don't think that both G-Man and llama are civs" when they were literally the only two civs.

Me too. No-one believes it because I have played well as mafia. But I'd be fine being a townie every time.

Although I guess I wouldn't say 'really hate'. More like 'prefer' to be town.

I thought you did a good job seeming townie, Quin. If I was playing, I think I would have had you pegged as town.

I didn't understand it. What was the point of having civilians? They had no chance of winning.
I'm sorry if you don't like the game setup or didn't find it fun. We did our best to make the experience fun and fair for all, and I hope at least that most people did enjoy it. We certainly went for whimsy as a focus in preference to serious mafia. The game was always going to play out in confusion given the existence of three night kills and all the personal win cons that drove many of the lynch behaviours.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [DAY 4]

DAY 4 ENDS

Nerolunar, Spacedaisy, Bullzeye, Quin and Epignosis watched as The Zodiac burned. Too many of their friends acquaintances competition had died there, and they were all of them, to a person, very afraid of the place. Quin noted that they were merely five of them left. The irony was lost on everyone.

Epignosis took off his hat and held it to his chest. As he did, much of his hair fell out... the stress of the situation rendering him immediately bald.

Suddenly they heard a voice coming out of the smouldering building. "hOI" it said.

"What is that noise?" asked Spacedaisy "It's horrible."

"hOI" said the noise. And then, creeping slowly out of the ashes near the entry, a corpse emerged. It was something that vaguely resembled a cat, but it had an empty eye socket, and it was missing everything behind its front legs. Entrails (or tomatoes?) were trailing out from the back, on fire. The whole thing was grey.

Immediately everyone screamed. Quin, in panic, immediately jumped on his Harley and tore away up Aquarius Lane. Bullzeye, who normally had an iron constitution, let out only a faint cry but nevertheless turned and ran straight into the Embassy of Capricorn, across the road. Epignosis immediately went limp, and also collapsed to the ground. Spacedaisy held her nerve for a moment, but retreated to the old establishment known as Cinema07, to watch a movie.

In their panic, no-one realised that Nerolunar was not amongst him. In fact, Nero had decided to pull a prank on everyone. While The Zodiac was in flames, he had found the corpse of Temmie in a dustbin in the side alley, and he felt that pulling a prank would be the most hilarious thing possible. And he was very happy with himself. How well it had gone!

Just then The Zodiac collapsed, burying Nerolunar alive.

Nerolunar has been lynched. He was a
Baddie who would survive the first kill death. A team has been eliminated.

It is now Night 4. You have around ~23 hours to get in any night actions.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [DAY 3]

DAY 3 ENDS

Sorsha sighed. She had spent a long day cleaning up her bar, the Zodiac. Thank goodness the day it been relatively calm. She was a Cancer after all, and calm was exactly what she needed after such a traumatic experience. She had seen sig's head explode in front of her. At least, she thought she did. Maybe that was just a tomato. It was all so confusing. And vivid. And red. At least all the red meant she couldn't be sure if she was cleaning up tomatoes or intestines.

As she worked, she steeled herself in determination. She was going to catch the person who set the Time Bomb. The Temmie Bomb. Whatever, her spelling wasn't that great in a temmie of crisis.

The saddest thing of all, was the death of her dear friend, DrWilgy, the one person in all the world who she could trust was a civilian. She reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, hoping to find some contact details to inform his nearest and/or dearest and/or undertaker (she didn't know how alone he might be).

She opened up the wallet. Inside were three nickels, one cigar and a small square of cardboard, business card sized. The card read:

I MOST DEFINITELY AM A DOCTOR. DON'T LISTEN TO ANY MARMOT THAT TELLS YOU OTHERWISE.

IF I AM LOST, PLEASE RETURN ME TO MY MAFIA HANDLER, ___________

The tomatoes had soaked through Wilgy's pocket and obscured the last word on the card. If Sorsha squinted just right and put her head on an angle, it looked like it might say Bullzeye. If she squinted another way, it looked as though it might say Nerolunar. Sorsha gasped. She had seen Nerolunar just moments before. This might be a chance to get more information!

She sprinted out of the bar, and looked up and down in every direction. But no-one was to be found.

Epignosis laid in bed, alone.

No one has been lynched. It is now Night 3. You have ~24 hours to submit any night actions.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [DAY 2]

DAY 2 ENDS

The Sagittarius put on his glasses to get a better look at the creature which called itself Temmie, and wasn't he surprised at what he saw when he was able to look closer.

Image

"I, like you, am a Sagittarius" said Temmie "and I like to try new things, just like you. So I'm going to try a rainbow."

Violet is for the grapes that grow on the vine
Blue is for Epi's broken heart, I wish he were mine
Green is for the traffic lights that tell me to go
Yellow is for the grain I store in my silo
Orange for the fire, for which I have a plan
Red is for burning a baddie at the stake, his name is G-MAN!

G-Man has been lynched. G-Man was a Civilian who'd survive the first lynch attempt.

It is now Night 2. You have ~24 hours to submit any night actions.

Metalmarsh89 wrote:10) Discussing your personal win condition is not permitted. This is a hidden personal trait for each player.
As this implies we all have personal win conditions, are we allowed to allude to the existence of win conditions if we make no mention of our own?
Talking about, alluding to, or speculating on any specific win conditions, whether yours or someone elses, is not allowed. For example, you could not say "I wonder if a win condition that exists is to ask the hosts questions", nor could you say "I wonder if Golden is acting in that weird way because of his win condition". Talking about any specific win conditions in any way is completely and firmly off limits. As the marmot said, you have been warned!

However, you may talk about, acknowledge or allude to the existence of win conditions generally. For example, you could say "I think the existence of win conditions implies that the set up of the game is 12 civilians and no mafia."

Don't step over the line. If you even want to think about talking about win conditions for any reason, and are worried about the line, contact the hosts first.
