Glad everyone had fun. I apologize for the delays to write posts. About 1/3 of the time you were waiting I was trying to post but you guys wouldn't shut up in the thread!

Had I had an extra hour for prep, I could have pre-written some stuff to cut down the delay times and hashed out a plan to include the other Sockey organizers much more. Sorry for hijacking the awards show aspect. And thank you for jumping in when my daughter got sick. Thankfully it wasn't as heinous as what happened Thursday night. *shudders*

Thanks for following the annual Socky Awards! And thank you for your patience while we wrote up the winner posts on the spot.

"All sectors clear," Starbuck said over the comm. Admiral Adama smiled. Then another transmission came through.

"Sir, we have an update on those intercepted transmissions," a technician said.

"Go on," Adama said.

"Well, we deciphered it wrong. It appears these Sockys aren't power sources but power trips. These systems and their contents are sources of pride for the Cylons."

"What?" Adama asked.

"Sorry for the confusion, sir. And that's not the end of it. We decoded something shocking."

"Well," Adama fumed. "Out with it!"

"It turns out that the Galactica is a Socky."

"What the frak are you talking about?" Adama roared.

"We checked the schematics, and it's true. Look here- there's the inscription."

Adama read it and tried to make sense of this news.

"Best Theme?" he pondered. "But if we're a Cylon Socky, then what does this mean for humanity?"

"Sector D2 eliminated!" Starbuck and Hot Dog shouted in unison.

"Kind of a shame. The only system there seemed very virtuous," Starbuck mourned.

"Oh well," Hot Dog said. "We gotta unplug these Toasters no matter what. It was a pretty jagged system anyway. Tough to navigate."

"I just blew up a gigantic server computer ship!" Hot Dog cheered. "It must serve as the host for their communications equipment or something. It had a very Cylon-sounding name and looked like a skeleton. Spooky as frak."

Hot Dog sounded depressed on the comm. "I just attacked a world that seemed so happy. I radioed them to apologize and they said not to worry about it. What a jewl."

Sector A1 has revealed the Spirit Award:

Starbuck and Hot Dog hit Sector D3 together. They needed it, as they flew straight into a war between evil computer programs and sweaty biker dudes. They were glad they didn't have to clean up that mess.

"Sector D2 clear!" Starbuck shouted. "Just one big newb who probably never would have amounted to anything. Name sounds familiar though."

Sector B2 has revealed the Socky Award for Best Newcomer:

Hot Dog struggled to decimate Sector B1. The people there were just too independent. No hive-mind Cylon base here. Oh well. He avoided the jagged debris from the remains of this prison world and moved on.

Sector B1 revealed the Socky Award for Best Independent:

Starbuck, angry from wasting ammunition in Sector C3, lit up Sector D4 with extreme prejudice. She never even saw the happy, peaceful community or their shrine to Barry the Mechanic.

Sector D4 has revealed the Socky Award for Best Role Use:

Hot Dog and Starbuck both flew into Sector C3 at full speed and opened fire blind upon entering. To their surprise, there was nothing there.

Sector C3 is empty.

Starbuck called out over the comm- "Frak this mission! Sector is clear but probably still not safe. They were a cult of so-called baddies, celebrating their imprisonment of all sorts of nice looking folks. Their Warden must have been a real frakkin' jerk."

Sector A4 revealed the Socky Award for Best Mafia Team Victory:

Hot Dog reported from sector A3, barely containing his laughter.

"I blew 'em all to Hell but I felt bad. Too frakkin; funny this sector is! Their leader was a guy named Scotty. Guess no one will be beaming him up any time soon."

"Sector D1 has been cleared. Nasty place with a cult that worships something called 'Best Baddie.' Not sure what the frak they're all about but they're gone now. I blew their leader, Quin, into a million pieces."

"Good job," Adama cheered. "Don't leave anything for those damn Toasters to use!"

Hot Dog reported in from Sector C4.

"Sir, this is a bizarre place. I don't see signs of any Cylons. Just a civilization calling themselves civvies. They have many monuments to their past victories. The most recent one being something called the Great Skag Defense. I blew up some equipment but I don't know what good it did."

"Good work, son," Adama said. "Get back here and let's plan our next sortie."

Sector C4 has revealed the Socky for Best Civvie Victory:

"Will someone tell me what the frak is going on?" General Adama fumed. All chaos was breaking loose after another surprise Cylon attack.

"General!" Starbuck reported from her ship. "During the battle we picked up a transmission. Toasters were talking about some kind of secret power source called a Socky. Not sure what that is but we picked up some coordinates in their transmissions. Sending them over now."

"Roger that, Starbuck." Adama looked at the information on his screen. "Sixteen sectors. That's manageable." He switched his comm to address everyone on board the Galactica. "This is Admiral Adama speaking. I want all available pilots to their craft. We have discovered the possible locations of Cylon power stations. We will be sending sortie missions to the sectors to destroy Cylon resources and gain intel on the next plans. So say we all!"

People across the Galactica responded in kind.

"Alright," Adama said to his commanders. "Let's go hunting for Sockys."

I realize that all my Prison Yard homeboys got a special banner for Turf Wars but can I vote for them as a group for Best Indy? The category says best individual player but we were all indies in the Yard, yo, and we worked together.
