Sadly, no. We ate dinner together, but I just got out of a two-hour church council meeting on Zoom.

We got curbside pickup on Sunday to celebrate as a birthday dinner. Last year we intended to go out for dinner the weekend after my birthday, but by the time that weekend rolled around, Pennsylvania had shut everything down. So, ha, yeah, COVID has now screwed with two of my birthdays, but I don't make a big deal about the day itself.

We had ice cream cake on Sunday and have half of it left yet. My mom got me cupcakes today. Church council also sent me cupcakes today. It seems evident that 2021 will see me turn both 37 and diabetic.

Thanks for the birthday wishes folks. This past year, I've leaned on this community more than I have in years. It's nice to share special days with you all.

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys. After my oldest daughter’s basketball game this morning, we went out for lunch and then snow tubing. We came home tired but full of joy. I’ll post a pic or two tomorrow.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! My day was pretty meh. I woke up late enough that I was a few minutes late for work and the bosses were in to boot. I spent longer than I hoped getting the weekly billing done, stayed 45 minuets extra and still didn’t get all my weekly tasks done. We were supposed to have friends over for dinner and games but that fell through, so my in-laws stayed after watching the kids all day and helped us eat the food we had gotten in advance for game night. I checked my email only to discover that I missed the Jeopardy online test this year and my wife and I fell asleep on the couch.

But I haven’t made a big deal about my birthday since I turned 30, so this was more like just another Friday night in the house of G.
