I would totally vote for you first if it weren't for the fact that Golden the Coward is playing. :PDharmaHelper wrote:Ask again later.G-Man wrote:Ready for battle, my liege.

Re: Recruitment Mafia 4: Dawn of the Clans
Screw it- I'm in if adding an extra player doesn't cause you any additional setup headaches.
If the hosts grant me a seat at the table, know this:
-My nights are basically booked due to baby prep.
-Work is busy too because I've fallen behind on a number of projects/tasks.
-My participation and quality of play in this game will suck compared to all previous games I have played.
-I probably won't bother with any kind of cutesy theme because of the aforementioned.

Oh believe you me- I'm getting snipped after this baby arrives.Long Con wrote:Ok, but you have to promise to always use protection from now until at least a year from now. We won't stand for any newborn babies coming between us for Recruitment 5 or A World Asunder. You shall play!G-Man wrote:I know what you mean. It's been wonderful getting back into this world after so much time away from it. I figure once the little one starts sleeping through the night (maybe January?) I'll join a speed game here and there to test the waters of game-RL balance. You'll just have to create a fifth installment and relieve me of my Recruitment virginity then.

This game and A World Reborn were among the games that I most looked forward to and it seems likely that I shall miss them both. Prepping for the baby is taking up more and more of my time at night (just look at my weak participation in Frisky Dingo) and I've got some lovely meetings and HOA board issues coming up. We're also now car shopping, as my wife's 15-year-old Civic is showing signs of needing life support very soon. Once baby 2.0 finds her day-to-day rhythm, I'll be able to sneak back in and try to join a game here and there if I think it won't push me over the edge of sanity. I'll still be around in non-game threads but it looks like Frisky Dingo may well be my final game of 2015.
Like I said though, I'll be around. I'm trying to start a simple Fantasy Football game if anyone is interested. If that doesn't take off, I'll still post in the social threads. Or maybe I'll just spam you guys with off-topic picture posts.

I'm 95% sure I'll end up playing this game but I'm actually going to get my wife's blessing on this one before I commit.Black Rock wrote:Ummm.... I assumed you were playing this game since you said you wanted to. So... yeah...G-Man wrote:Tell aapje that if he doesn't play this game that I will create a useless, boring, vanilla character for Secret Mafia 3 and name it Aapje the Lame.Black Rock wrote:For those who know my history and mafia crush with aapje, I do have a lead and will be working on him for this game. Like Roxy said, I can't host a game without him. If he doesn't play this game I will have to choose my new mafia crush and that shall be... MM. I see the same things brewing here, a good love/hate relationship. We'll see if he challenges me enough.
As for my involvement in this game, I intended to take a break to prep for the baby but I'm finding it harder and harder each day not to click yes.
