Almost everybody was bad, apparently.

I don't see how this was a balanced game at all. Or Mafia.

This all boiled down to luck: Who got night killed.

And it all came down to a coin flip.

Might as well have played craps.

:sigh:
I don't see how three civilians were supposed to have a chance against 9 mafia.
We would have needed the baddie teams to pick each other apart through both the lynches and the NK's. It wasn't impossible for we civvies to win, just improbable. I don't mind the chaotic setup though. It was fun even though I lost. There's no shame in losing against such unfriendly odds.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I was willing to get lynched to prove I could survive a lynch. I was just willing to take the chance on a con flip exposing me so I could fulfill my personal wincon of voting for four different people during the same day and ending as the solo vote on one person.

I suspected you might skip over Epi and proceed directly to me. I have been a nexus of conversation this game, which is different. I'm not usually the top poster in a game but I'm content. I tried a different approach this game and it's been very informative. The fact that you guys didn't run straight at me speaks volumes. You could have made me an easy lynch but something prevented that. That something is the persistent inkling that what I say makes sense. You sense at least a grain of truth in what I say. This is questionable recapping. While I was largely absent Day 0 and 1, I did participate as much as I was able and gave my own solid reasons for my votes and my thoughts on various people. Then in N1 I became much more vocal with my "personal thoughts" basically discussing my concerns about the fact you and Llama were both appearing to claim the same role ability. I became more active because we got most of the leg work done on the game, now we are just waiting to fill it. There is no smokescreen.

My theory is this, and this is what my theory is. Ahem. The theory that I have (which is mine) is that hosts are more anxious about replacements when the absent player is mafia than when they are civ. Especially in a game like this, an absent baddie would be deadly to the mafia cause. They would need a replacement immediately. Much less urgent with the civs, because there are more of us. Nero replaced in fantastically quickly. Just sayin'.
Interesting, because I thought it took a long time to replace Bubble. Looking back, I see that it took our hosts roughly 12 hours. Day 1 was already halfway over, and Nero posted an hour later. Not necessarily a quick transition but I haven't hosted in a while.

And three of those call G-Man's alignment into question, essentially restating the same idea without considering fresh evidence. That last one sounds bitter that G-Man didn't get lynched and could possibly come out looking good for it.

You know what else I noticed? Take this how you want, but Bubbles never popped in saying how good she was, which is like, her trademark. I realize she didn't post at all, but that's a minor thing to consider.

A major thing to consider is how I'm gonna get a girlfriend. :sigh:
Nero is walking a very fine line right now in my book. More participation is necessary and I'm mulling over his posts you mentioned. He could just be warning everyone about giving me a free pass. He could also be trying to entice people to vote for me. The former could be either honest civvie thinking or subtle baddie strategy. The latter's more of a transparent baddie ploy for lazy leftovers voting.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [NIGHT 1]

S~V~S fluffs Day 0 away on defending hippies and simple, short responses. She disappears for the entirety of Day 1 and misses the vote. During night phase, she says she thought days were 48 hours long. She also says that an important opportunity came up at her work. I cannot fault her for the latter but the former is fishy. I remember never fully trusting S~V~S before I went on mafia hiatus. She is a crafty player and that can get her lynched early. I'm on the fence for now and look forward to more participation.

Sig had some good input on ratios and lobbied for roleplaying awards. He has terrible grammar but is willing to engage in relevant discussion. He's not afraid to ask questions and follows up for clarification's sake. He seems like a straight-shooter with a level head on his shoulders. This probably makes me susceptible to getting fleeced by him, if bad.

Sloonei claims another mafia game is a distraction for him early on. He defends Quin by explaining that his behavior is normal for him. I like his willingness to use a pressure vote to obtain reactions. He was somewhat critical of Llama's gut-read rainbow list, which is fine. He reiterated that another game is stealing most of his focus D1. He doesn't by Sorsha's read on DrWilgy as justification for her vote. I have liked Sloonei since the first game we played in together. This makes it hard for me to view him as a baddie. When he's bad, he usually slips somehow and gets called on it. So far I have not seen anything that resembles a Slooeni slip.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [NIGHT 1]

Doing some ISO's is taking more time than I anticipated it would. Here are my impressions of the first few players I have ISO'd:

Bullzeye posts a lot of fluff, randomizes a vote and takes off. He then gets huffy about some of us finding random votes sketchy. Lastly, he also backtracks on his "quiet game" claim when called out. He's contradictory but also feels like he's too easy of a target.

DrWilgy posts some fluff but tries to engage in some worthwhile discussion. He tries to get some people to play some baddie association games. He needs to see an eye doctor because he is seeing things. He overanalyzes my post and thinks he sees nefarious frameworks being constructed. He provides us with his gun-to-head reads and asks us to reciprocate. Otherwise, he responds well to questions and is very difficult to read.

Epignosis posted meager amounts of substance with a fluffy mountain of fluff. He's really embracing the roleplaying aspect of the game, which yields fluff. Perhaps we really just didn't have anything to go on Day 1. Or perhaps Epi is currently too tied up with his Batman game. That could explain his apparent detached manor or intended to look so.

Nero subbed in and found Llama suspicious but isn't as suspicious now. That is all I have on him, which is a little frustrating.

Quin pings others by stating his preference for Day 1 no-lynch options. He comments on RVS (unfavorable opinion) and then engages in some roleplay. He thinks DrWilgy roleclaimed as doctor but I don't think I agree. Asks Epi what convinced him to vote for me before the deadline. I like his various attempts to engage and interact outside of roleplay.

Bullzeye wrote:I don't see how there's a larger chance at all, all I did was randomize a vote on day one in a small, quiet game. People are acting like I microwaved their families..
Day 0 and 1 may have lacked substance but it wasn't quiet. I think 6.5 pages of posts by lynch #1 is pretty vocal. Maybe not for full games, but for a heist game it's good. We're running about even with Arrested Development's post count at the moment. I don't necessarily want you lynched yet but you're not making sense. I'm at work but I will run some ISO's during lunch hour.

Sadly, my immunity to lynches is limited to only the first one.

Does this help explain how bold and cavalier my posting was today?
Depends G-Mizzle muh nizzle,
What did you learn from your bold and cavalier posting? Is there anything you would like to expand upon from your notes?

Linki - Do you think Epignosis saved Bullzeye?
They are just two of my three most suspicious players right now. I will analyze the votes and posts tomorrow before the night post. Unfortunately, my gun-to-head reads are more guesswork than they are wily intuition. Right now, however, it is time for me to head to bed.

Under the condition that G-Man is bad
This a fool's errand because I am a good little civvie Pisces.

DrWilgy wrote: Under the condition that G-Man is civ
Under this worthwhile endeavor, I am suspicious of Bullzeye, Epignosis, and SVS. More thorough review is needed to solidify these quick, crude suspicions though.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [DAY 1]

I find it most curious just how fluffy Epignosis has been today.

Re: Zodiac Mafia [DAY 1]

I find Bullzeye's vote to be lazier than Sorsha's vote for me.

Also I'll probably be in a movie theater watching Deadpool when the deadline comes.
Not really, but I would rather lynch a baddie so let's discuss before you gotta jet!
What do you mean not really? This is a response. Unfortunately I've not been able to commit the attention I was hoping to give this game today. Tell me what your strategy is on this Day 1, if you don't mind.
I don't think I would generally respond to pressure votes.

You should play my game. Everyone who can should before the day ends. If the day ends, you posted and didn't play my game then... well :evileye:

Looking over this, I actually really don't like this post G-Man. 1st of all, you can go back and compare to Daisy's other games. 2nd, you just finished Arrested Development with her.

Reading this post and the portion that I've bolded either means you aren't willing to double check a Meta that you are willing to base a vote on, or you are prepping yourself for an easy "oops, I guess I just forgot" when/if she's lynched as a civvie. Both of which screams bad sauce.

Linki - *Wilgy gives Sorsha a big hug! Now they both smell like tomatoes*
My favorite professor's advice: past performances are not indicative of future results.

Then why even mention the part that I bolded if you aren't trying to use that "forgotten" memory as a reference?
G-Man
I played mafia with SD for a few years before my hiatus. Having been away, I've forgotten how some of the old gang play. That's what I was getting at with my initial post, good sir. In Arrested Development she at least posted on-topic, helping me trust her. So far it's been mostly fluff and it seems a little under-the-radar. Why are you so quick to defend her if I may ask?
