Re: Interrogation Room

Oh yeah, another addition to the "things we would be surprised to know about you" question, I am in the credits for a video game.

In SkullGirls, under the Contributors section in the credits as "Alex "Worst User Name" Vazquez"

I gave $50 to their Indiegogo campaign while the character "Big Band" was being funded. All in all we raised around $829,000 and funded 5 characters, stages for all those characters, story modes for all those characters, in addition to some cool stuff like voice packs for the announcer. Big Band is a dude in an Iron Lung who is based on steel wind instruments, and you can actually play entire songs with his st.mp.

If you could spend a year exploring the world, with money no object, would you try to see as many places as possible? Or would you prefer to explore only s few places, but in depth?
A few places in detail. Probably Japan, Puerto Rico, amd then I'd throw a dart at a map for the others. As long as the dart doesnt land on Somalia or Russia. Or Alaska. Or Antarctica. I live in Ohio where we have 3 seasons. June, July, and Winter. I deal with the cold enough as it is.

Also as for the music question, I used to be REALLY into metal and still am. Stuff like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Motorhead, and Pantera to name a few. I'm also really into Gorillaz. Nowadays though I've grown to hate anything with lyrics, normally because I find the lyrics in the majority of songs to be maddeningly retarded, and then I cant stop questioning the words and it ultimately pisses me off. So I've really gotten into dubstep as a result, but anything with a sick beat or good instrumentals really do the trick. Here some examples of what I could be caught listening to on any given day

I would spoiler this to make the post smaller, but for some reason you guys dont have spoiler coding here and I find that very confusing

Re: Interrogation Room

Kill la Kill is a weird one. There is a ton of pseudo nudity, as in like breasts are exposed, but nipples are magically concealed and stuff like that. Alot of people that actually pay attention to the show and the themes come to the conclusion that most of it is a metaphor for self acceptance and showing the world who you really are inside. There is also a military faction later on called Nudist Beach. The only clothes they wear are the tactical gear that has pockets and stuff. Aside from the skimpy clothing, the show is most well known for it's fight scenes. It was produced by Trigger, who were all former employees of Studio Gainax, the people that worked on Gurren Lagann, and Panty and Stocking(PSG). The animation style is extremely unique, and the entire tone of the show is like if you mixed a Shounen anime(Dragonball) with the magical girl genre.

For example here is a section from the beginning of the first episode

Shit is wild man.

EDIT: Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate, Guilty Crown, and Psycho Pass are some favorites of mine too. Guilty Crown gets mad depressing though.

2. What is your top 3 anime and why?
3. What is your favorite movie?
-Dodge until he stops shooting rocks. As soon as he stops, destroy his face with the axe. As soon as you land the killing blow just keep moving back even during the cinematic. Block before he detonates. Dont know if I remember it correctly. Been probably like 5 years since I've played that game. You'd be fucked later on though. At one point you have to fight two of the fire armadillos at the same time.
-1. Samurai Champloo. Loved the characters, the writing, and the OST.
2. Basilisk. It's like if you made Naruto not suck, and then made the plot like Romeo and Juliet with 100% less pedophilia, and then made everybody fight each other with cool powers. It's pretty sweet. Everybody is part of a ninja clan. There's also this one guy who hides a knife in his throat at all times.
3. Kill la Kill. DONT LOSE YOUR WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY

Re: Interrogation Room

On my phone, so ill answer the music question later when I can post examples from laptop.

Best memory associated with a video game, but rather how I associate with a game itself. Mainly the endings of MGS3, 4, and Tales of Vesperia.
MGS3 was just a really good slick ending. It felt badass and subtle at the same time because of that plane scene with Ocelot.
MGS4 was just an emotional rollercoaster for a long time fan of the series. 70 years of war depicted in a single fist fight, the microwave chamber, the graveyard scene. Got a tear or two out of me.
Tales of Vesperia was just fantastic. One of very few games that I didn't want it to end.

The one thing that really stands out though? Ninja Gaiden 2. The end of the game has a 3 boss fight gauntlet with no store in between. I didn't have enough money to buy any healing items before hand, I had a single healing item, 3/4 health. And I had to beat 3 straight boss fights with that. It took me 2 days and over 30 retries. I basically had to best the first two without taking damage in order to survive the final one. That shit was an accomplishment. People like to go on and on about how hard Dark Souls is, but in like "Have you even played Ninja Gaiden? The second half of the game just tries to make you ragequit."
