if one of these people is supposed to be india in disguise and the previous lurking is supposed to hold, the options are at the bottom there. i view this as a pretty flimsy premise in general (i'm not even convinced india was the disguiser), but it's worth a look. someone who cares about this theory should tell me which one of these people is fake.
So I had an idea today based off the whole theory that India molted and has assumed a new sockpuppet. Wouldn't they reasonably choose someone who is low-profile and not about to get themselves lynched? Meaning the least likely person we would want to lynch today probably should be lynched today.

Delta's response to Bravo's vote was to pay it absolutely no mind and roll eyes. Is that really how a civ responds to that sort of accusation?

Ultimately Delta and Bravo voted together on Juliet, which had the added effect of saving Bravo.

I think Bravo is OG wolf and Delta is the disguised.

When I said I didn't like voters on either of the wagons, there was one voter on each wagon that I did not like. Kilo on the Juliet wagon and Foxtrot on the Bravo one. I didn't mean I didn't like everyone on both wagons.

I appreciate that you are trying but I also can't help but resent being accused on the basis of a non flip. I would hope you intend to do these interaction analysis's on everyone rather than just presuming that Juliet was Mafia and then stomping based on that assumption. If that is the intention then fine.

Alpha wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2019 1:06 pm I am dropping the weird voice for one post. This is important and I am unsure about it.

Echo has claimed to believe that there are possibly two kills in the game. He/she/they/it has argued about this, asked for proof, and badgered people about the answers.

The rules at the beginning of the game do not make this clear. I checked. They don't. But mafia would know one way or another by day two, and Echo supposedly didn't.

Why did Echo not ask the host?

Echo's ignorance is not genuine. If they wanted to know, they could have easily asked privately. And further, I'd say that if they have any conception of game balance, they would already know the answer. And even further, this setup was played on this site before. So we are faced with two options:

Echo is pleading ignorance for a hard townread. It is a scum gambit.
Echo is prodding others to see why they assumed there would only be one kill. It is a town gambit, and a nearly useless one for the reasons stated above.

I would like a response from Echo. If the ignorance is genuine, why not ask the host? If it's not, what do you hope to accomplish?
I didn't ask the host because I assume that he left that particular thing ambiguous for a reason. I also wanted to use it as a discussion point to create more content from. ie. I am quite sure that you are now being town read by Charlie because of this... I have yet to determine whether I agree with him. I have a theory about you.

Hence why I am asking this question Delta. There are other ways a second kill does not appear. Quite basic and ordinary civilian roles exist to prevent Mafia kills.

I never even remotely entertained the notion that there was only one kill until this flip and nobody batted an eyelid. I was entirely under the impression the disguiser kill was an additional one.

I'm not sure that it's OP either. It's not a large Mafia team.

At any rate, I was asking for feedback and I have at least received yours, you don't think it was likely to be an additional kill, cool, I'd like others input.

If I think you are bad you will have no question about it. I have no problems putting my reads in the thread.

I have not quoted the wrong thing. That was what you asked me to show you.
Ugh.

It is not nonsense to question the motivations of using pointed commentary to describe how I have behaved when there are less pointed ways of describing it. This is analysing your behaviour in a very ordinary way. "Why did he choose to use this descriptor". It's very basic and ordinary scum hunting, not some horrible encroachment on your peace and tranquility.

I was asking the question of why you would say I am misrepresenting you as opposed to pointing at that I am misunderstanding you. There are ways to describe what I did from your perspective, many of them, and you chose the most provocative and accusatory way to describe it, which contrasts with the fact that you do not suspect me. It's a valid concern.

I will not be pushed around by someone over simply doing my civilian duty. Pull your head in.

In fact if I had been active at that point I would have possibly tried to save him because I am surprised that anyone even suspected him in the first place, that’s how civ his ISO looked to me. My fault for not being here.

The only person that could have possibly been the one conducting such "shady shit" is myself. Yet Delta has rationalised that even though my ultimate move was to vote for Golf, who Delta has determined was a civilian, this somehow clears me.

It is questionable logic. I understand it, but I am not sure that it is a civilian minded progression.

Choosing to exercise discretion on their own analysis however, is, I am want to trust Delta at this time.
Misrepresentation there bud. I didn’t clear you. But your actions at lynch end look much less suspect to me if I am correct about Golf. That doesn’t make you civ, it just means I let go of something I found suspicious in light of other factors after I ISOed Golf.
So you think I am Mafia then? You accuse me of misrepresenting you. I must be Mafia?

Day 1 reads are unreliable. Especially civ ones. Sorry Echo, it's just the truth. We have to stay paranoid for people who changed the way they post, even if in slight ways.

But we also have to come up with some reason to vote. And the Day 1 stuff is there to analyse, can't run away from it. And besides, the very nature of the ability should make baddie reads more reliable than civ ones, since only civs will be swapped.
Kilo wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2019 9:57 pm Yes I just defended two opposite things in the same post. Booyah, motherfuckers.

it is hyperbolic. there is a need to reset some reads. there is no need to throw day 1 out the window.
And the "so... I guess" is the way Mafia introduce thoughts they aren't confident in introducing to the game. I would expect a civilian who genuinely feels this way to say something more like "I think day 1 reads are unreliable now." It reads like someone trying to put a negative thought into the gamethread in the hopes a civilian picks it up and agrees with it.

In fact if I had been active at that point I would have possibly tried to save him because I am surprised that anyone even suspected him in the first place, that’s how civ his ISO looked to me. My fault for not being here.
Do you still believe you were the mislynch scapegoat?
Can you explain the question? I believe Golf was civ, so it’s unlikely that Echo was doing it with bad intentions.
Delta wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 9:48 am Picking a random inactive is one thing. But there was a strong attempt to coordinate movement to me, which looks to me like a save attempt. It wasn’t just like, well there is no one better so why not an inactive? It was an attempt to get me lynched instead. Shady shit imo.

Guide me through your logic here Charlie. How am I more likely to be mafia?
This is not the response I expect of a civilian at least 75% of the time. Some civilians are capable of this, but not most.

Re: Phenon: Origins REDUX

I am surprised, as I was expecting two deaths. I did not expect the disguiser kill to replace the factional kill, but rather to be an additional kill to the regularly scheduled factional kill.

I do not know why I should do that.
Well you can't now because the day is ended.

It would have been because at that stage it was either Golf or me getting lynched and me getting lynched would have sucked.

Re: Phenon: Origins REDUX

Basically as it was before then Golf's only avenue if they show up is to vote me into a tie.

In this situation, Golf or Delta can choose to vote for either me, and my response will be to vote THEM into a tie. Or they can vote for Delta. I am quite okay with Golf or Delta (and very not okay with my own lynch).

Should they just not show up, then the logical thing for me to do is to vote for Golf.

If they both show up and they both vote me and cause my lynch, well that'll be up to the civilians to solve whether they did so for good or bad reasons once I flip.

Bravo wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2019 10:12 pm How is that relevant? Voting Delta isn't going to help your concerns of Golf having an avenue to tie the lynch.
If the lynch ends 2 v 2 v 2 then I have a less chance of being mislynched.
That is assuming Golf doesn't show up. Why are you assuming he's not going to show up if the votes stay the them? While at the same, dreading that he'll show up if you put it 3 v 2 v 1, which would guarantee you not being mislynched.
If he doesn't show up, I will switch back to golf in time in order for Golf to be lynched instead of me.

I think Golf is suspicious but unless we get more people in here we can put Golf into a lynching position that doesn't give them the avenue of tying with me.

Re: Phenon: Origins REDUX

So Golf is now in a position where if they self preservation vote, the day becomes Golf vs. Echo.

After re-analysing the thread, while I suspect Golf, there are several others that have contributed less. I have particular concerns about India, Delta and Foxtrot. They have offered nothing.

We cannot win this game if they are civilians and are continue putting forth this effort. If we lynch Golf (or Echo) and they flip civilian, there is a strong chance that we will lose this game. As strange as it sounds, in a low effort game it is imperative that we don't lynch players who are civilian and putting forth efforts. Therefore I would prefer we lynch one from the aforementioned pile as opposed to Golf. We can solve Golf, as Golf has at least made a commitment to playing the game.

India and Foxtrot has zero votes. Delta has a vote from Hotel. So I will switch to Delta.
