Every part of me wants to vote for Dry Flood. My tinfoil is raging. The last minute attempt to CFD us at MYLO was the scummiest play in the game. Comes out proclaiming Fratyo as obvtown who then dies. Somehow has been the dominant voice in the game and yet survives every kill to the final three.

But the pinginess of the Colin/Speedchuck Hydra is overwhelming. All about self defense, no attack on Golden, just a whole fuckload of wifom defense and trying to skate by without even excercising a lick of tinfoil?

I'm voting Colin/Speedchuck. Daisy may disagree but that's where I'm left. Sorry I couldn't contribute more to whichever of you are town and sorry if I'm wrong Colin and Speedchuck.
MacDougall wrote: Thu Jul 19, 2018 4:15 pm How dumb. Well played Mafia guy. Later.
These posts do nothing to move my needle at all.

'Every part of Mac' makes him want to vote me... quite possibly true, while not being town-minded at all. It doesn't say he thinks I'm bad. He says my move was the scummiest thing in the game, and yet it only is doing the exact same thing that's happening a phase later anyway. If bad, there was no real risk to me patiently waiting and doing it anyway. It's one of those things that is easy to say is a 'scummy play', because of it's appearance.

"Proclaims Fratyo as obvtown who then dies". True, but not scummy. Just a nice device with which to frame me.

"Somehow has been the dominant voice in the game yet survives every vote till the final three". Just complete tripe. So, it turns out 99% of the marmot posts on day 1 were actually me roleplaying as marmot, but still I was not dominant on day one or day two. In each case I did try and do a save late... that should be evidence I wasn't controlling anything though. Also, I was defending Galactic Mac all that time. Why would GM kill me? When I started being the dominant player on day three and successfully lynched Cuphead... I came out strong against Colin. Why would GM kill me? This particular statement is utterly disingenuous as it pretends GM didn't have reasons to keep me alive.

And of course, despite all of that... there's a vote for Colin. Because the whole thing is a hope that Colin might tinfoil me, but a recognition that the likely path to survival is to convince me to vote colin. It lacks the indight of someone hunting, and instead demonstrates the mindset of someone who is happy for either of the other two to go, provided it isn't him.

As for that last post.... no suggestion at all that the outcome is wrong. Could be interpreted as a self-clap on the back :p Of course it would be dumb to lose at this point.

If Colin and Speed are bad, they've done a great number on me. I've had good success reading colin so far and I've caught deepscum speed before too. This game feels different. If it's because they've played together in a sock and it's modified each of their individual approaches, then just well played across the board. I can live with losing to them. There are things there I don't like... I don't feel secure at all... but in the end I feel like it is more tinfoil than reality with them. There's a lot of signs that they are town, even if there's no silver bullet that makes me sure of it.

Anyway, well played everyone. It's fun to make it to three person LYLO and be the swing vote... that hasn't happened in ages. Sorry if I'm wrong, but then if I am, I think without me we still lost at final six anyway. I've done the best I can!

And thank you dunya for your one day effort. It contributed a lot to my final analysis.

A reason that ColinOnSpeed is mafia: their relative lack of suspicion against Golden lately in the game.

Today is LYLO, and despite having made 15 posts thus far, including several lengthy ones, they've been geared towards answering questions from Golden, and... that's it.

GMac and Colinspeed have an equal number of posts voicing any potential suspicion of Dry Flood.

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 5]

This doesn't mean you should stop answering my questions colin/speed.

But I find the conflict between your heads to be quite persuasive. I'm trying to figure out whether you would fake different reads and allow that to spill out into the thread as a deliberate tactic to appear more town. My answer is - I think no. There's no evidence you've had any town cred for it, and if anything your vote hopping at the end of day two increases rather than decreases the spotlight on you, which is in stark contrast to C & Ms strategy throughout. I tend to believe your heads would be more likely to have somewhat of a more streamlined opinion if you were bad.

This may be the persuasive thing which pushes me over the edge to voting Mac.

But tbh, it could have just been the Fugitive gif

IIRC, speed and I had discussed both Lunatella and Fratyo at this point. I was suspicious of both, speed was suspicious of Lunatella, so I trusted the combination of our feelings and voted for Lunatella. Speed re-evaluated it (I think he was put off by me giving as much credence to his feelings at this point) and decided I should have trusted my gut toward Fratyo and switched the vote.
What role, if any, did putting Luna in a 3-2 vote lead have in that switch?

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 5]

I'm truly 50/50.

Each time I read more or read again, I go back and forth.

If Galactic Mac are bad, the mafia have taken the easy route as a team. Phone it in, get passed over, get loud voices to cannibalize themselves. This is quite viable. From their perspective, the kills wouldn't make so much sense - but that is consistent with disengagement, potentially.

If Colinisspeed is bad, they still fit a traditional baddie archetype. They've kept their options open and killed smartly if it's them. They would make smart kills.

Each has content I like and content I don't like. Right now I feel like I'm flipping a mental coin.

Can you go from this post through to the end of day 3 and split the posts into which were from speed and which from colin. It's only about 8-10 posts, but this would be very helpful in evaluating your intent in that period.

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 4]

Legacy post, in case

I’ve swung back and forth on this. I could legitimately go either way. But here’s where I land, finally.

The lunatella kill is the work of colinisspeed. Luna came out with ‘speed is bad’. Then she’s dead.

If speedchuck is actually bad, they really had no choice but to make that kill. There’s no way to avoid it, Luna’s too much of a threat.

From the perspective of an engaged Galactic Mac, you might suggest it could be a deliberate setup. But at mylo, why would they take out such a strong voice against speed as a setup when you have fratyo on the board, the guy who has been pursuing them for an age?

From the point of view of a disengaged Galactic Mac, it makes even less sense - as does the MP1 kill... disengaged teams are even more likely to remove the threat to them.

I found speedand Colin very convincing in their response to me when I came at them. That frustration was real, though... and they’ve had some major scum-leaning tells like ‘if I’m town’ and ‘don’t just suspect me, give me something to defend against’. All in all, colinisspeed just feels like the right vote, and I endorse it.

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 4]

Galactic Mac

Pros

Daisy's posts ring of town Daisy to me, for the most part. But maybe not this one:
Galactic Mac wrote: Tue Jul 17, 2018 7:10 pm :disappoint: I hope they do kill us, because I’ve been. Total shut with the move and seeing family.
The kills make a little less sense from GM. They still could be, though, quite easily - especially if Daisy wasn't around so much and it was Epi basically making the calls. But I can't see Daisy wanting MP dead on night 2. With them just about to hit the wedding, she'd know MP was absolutely no threat to her in that phase... she could afford to at minimum wait a phase.

Cons

Mac's play has been less than inspiring... it's been essentially non-engagement. This isn't what I'm used to from town Mac.

Daisy's play has been minimal enough in it's contents, that it's probably easy enough to fake her town meta, especially given her busyness is real.

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 4]

OK, here is what I'd look for specifically:

Colinisspeed:

Pros

Lots of content, genuinely solvey.

Has actually engaged, not missed votes.

His "I can't wait till your proved wrong" smugness feels genuine

His vote on day two, he treated it as meaningful and impactful, despite the fact that all three candidates would be town in a colin!scum world. He didn't try to CFD or hog the action, his votes and move felt real.

Cons

His unwillingness to accept any town reads whatsoever, and desire to keep the pool wide open - the level of tinfoil and paranoia is excessive and feels like it could represent an unwillingness to get stuck with a read that is unhelpful to his goals

Snakey language - like his wording around the cases on day one and three, where he gave himself outs against those cases (and on day three didn't vote that way at all)

Nightkill choices. Day one: 2 Dogs constantly had colin as a bad read, but both cupman and GM as a town read. Dunya was a town force so scary in her own right, but would Galactic Mac really kill them when there was an entire CFD on them that 2 dogs was not a part of at all? It's a very logical kill from a CS perspective. Day 2 - M Plus 1. I'm not convinced Daisy makes this kill, in fact I tend against it. If it's Galactic Mac, Epi and Daisy conspire at the wedding to put a bullet in their travelling companion. It would be humourous, but I'm not sure it's as likely. Notably, MP is one of the few who had expressed at least some suspicion on C&M. Lunatella. Called out speed as bad right before her death.

Neutral

Hard to tell which head is which; but neither of them strike me as especially town. Speed is good at doing this when actually bad. Colin is good at doing this when actually town.

I haven’t dismissed this yet.

I’ve got 6 hours to look through three ISOs

It’s time to see what I can bring to the table
Lol you do realise that was literally marmot, right? We are the same character.

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 4]

btw colin, mac, whichever of you is the good one...

If you need any more evidence fratyo is good... He could have put a last minute vote on Galactic Mac and won the game if bad.

Instead he tinfoiled his top town read and made sure it was a no lynch.

Fratyo is absolutely town. Please don't forget this tomorrow.

Re: Two-Headed Monster Mafia [Day 4]

BTW... if Mac isn't bad...

The killer should take them out. If you don't, you're a coward etc etc

:haha:
