And yes I'm aware that it means my civ meta is kind of stupid sometimes (though other times it works).

Re: Pokemon Mafia [Night 1]
He thinks like my civ meta.
He is aggressive and doesn't seen to care whether people are reading him bad or not. He just picked a target and wants to take her down. He seems to be showing confirmation bias, which is a sign of an error but not of bad alignment.
He saw the cooperation plan as suspicious and trying to find scum among the ones making it.
Mafia tends to have a sense of self-image imo, they don't pick fights that will make them look worse.
I'm not sure if I agree with his posts, but I think he is making them from a civ perspective.

That is so me.nutella wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2017 4:10 pm I personally am not particularly impressed with Boo right now. He's twisting everything into an interpretation that fits his preconceived notion that I must be bad, and he keeps twisting beyond recognition what I have said about what I think baddie motives would do, when I have clearly explained why everything I have done makes total sense with civ motives. I was going to give my votes to Speed or LC anyway since I have been getting strong civ vibes from them; they just decided to make it into some official thing that I'm benefitting from by getting two evo points tonight. I'm happy to agree to that, because I think my role could be a pretty helpful one when it evolves. I have made no explicit promises to stay in their exchange for more than two nights, but I might if I continue to trust them. Boo has been willfully misinterpreting everything I have said on this topic.

Epi will probably not do it, but he will probably replace them, and statistically it's not that hard to get 2 people. When he does, everything goes to normal.
Lynching them now is rushing things. Heck, it's a easy way for mafia to get a vote without having to confront anyone, which they hate. They don't even have to justify this vote.

Will depend on how he defends himself, who defends him, who attacks him, how they attack him.
There is a whole argument that can sprinkle from a Timmer lynch since he's here to defend himself. And there are people who may have read his posts and read him as town, or want to pretend to read him as town.
With an inactive, there is no argument. We just lynch our inactive of choice, and go home peacefully.

So even if they're town, not only will they screw up EOD, we're gonna spend most of the game underpowered.
Also, DDL, your answer avoided the question. I said who, not theoretically who. Who do you wish to lynch, Boo Wilgy, Jack, or LC, and what do you think theIR flip will tell you in day 2?

Luffy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 5:04 pm I think voting for people who didn't even post is a waste. They are likely to get replaced eventually. We learn next to nothing from those lynches.
Mass Effect was partially determined by some weak replacement of townies.
I had a hell of a hard time finding mafia in the last Hybridity game as two of the four mafia members replaced out and basically got to skate for ~4 phases.
With 24 hour phases, is a prompt replacement realistic?
Who's lynch so you think we'd learn the most from at this point? Already knowing my alignment and having not tied any two other players together, a silent lynch tells me roughly the same thing as any other, that is "the alignment of a player."
Of course, there's stuff yet to be learned in the actual choosing of a specific player.
An inactive lynch is perfectly acceptable, from even just watching champs and the few other places I've played, if you don't really learn a lot from other lynches. If all your choices are low info lynches, lynch the inactive.
DDL if you want us to lynch an non inactive, tell me which lynch you think nets us the most information?

Well in my forum when the host can't find a replacement they just kill the player.
I reckon this might not happen here.
3 replacements isn't too hard to find though. It is done eventually.

And I dont think you are saying town arent allowed to disagree, but you seem to be under the impression there is a hard limit on how much Im allowed to bicker with you if I say I agree with your idea. There isnt, Ill bicker with you everytime you say something I think its wrong no matter how much Im willing to cooperate with you.
Btw, the ship of coordinating the second round of evolution votes is about to sail too, in case you haven't noticed.

Re: Pokemon Mafia [Day 1]
Im suspish about Timmer. The bit about not voting for people who asked to be voted left me a bad taste, because it's a cliche (town muat be selfless!) that tends to come up in this kind of game. And here, I'd think someone not wanting to be voted would be a sign of bad rather than otherwise, because baddies can just get votes from their team.
That and he also just disappeared until he came to say he had missed the vote, and vanished again. Hes probably legit busy irl which is NAI, but the whole combination leaves me suspicious. Imma vote for him.

@Jack
1- Agreeing with the concept of coordination =/= agreeing that you unilaterally decide who we vote for and we just follow you.
2- Agreeing =/= not asking questions or considering possible problems and just saying "yes sir" the moment you propose it.
I'm not your slave. And there isn't a contract saying that the moment I agree with your original idea I have to follow everything you say without questioning.
If your definition of "scum" is "does not obey you", then go ahead. Put your vote where your mouth is and vote for me.
