The only thing left was to see if you had any chance of bluffing Mac into not shooting nutella.

Well, I was not playing the game so I will not judge nutella considering all the pressure she was under.

But I was kind of annoyed that I made the decision to make a poll every day only for the polls to be completely ignored.

And the polls had an extremely high accuracy ratio. They lynched aliens almost every night.

Let this be a lesson that town is stronger when it works as a team.

I never thought Mac would last to the endgame after what happened to him Day 1.

In fact, to the whole scumteam. They were the top 4 scumspects day 1. Then after that... nutella let two of them off the hook, just like that.

Suddenly, all the alien spaceships started converging to the same spot.

They formed a giant cloud of metal and lights. Mechanical arms started coming out of them, and they grabbed each other. The whole proccess only took a few minutes, but it felt like hours. It was the most amazing thing any human had ever seen. And the most horrible.

When it ended, all the spaceships had fused into a large sphere of destruction. A Death Star.

The machine started firing its weapons. Entire cities and countries were turned to dust in mere seconds. Tens of millions of people died.

The laser gun operators then went and tried to get the machine going anyway, even though it was overheating and might not handle a second shot in such a short time frame. And the laser gun fired.

But it didn't seem to make a dent in the Death Star's shell. And if there was a small weak point that could be hit to destroy the whole thing, there was no way to find it fast enough.

The sphere pointed its own laser cannon at the human's laser station, and fired at it.

With one hit , the laser gun was destroyed. The aliens won. Humanity was now going to face a new era of servitude to their new space overlods.

nutella moved to the control room. It was time to fire the laser gun for the 5th time.

The pressure was huge. People were starting to question if she was fit for that job. Some were saying the alien kills in the frist two nights were flukes. Some even said it was fake news by some political group to make her look competent. But nutella knew she had made good calls at the time. She had the skill. She just needed to find it again.

Well, she would have to keep looking.

The situation was getting dire. The body count was getting high. Humanity was being challenged to the extreme.

The laser gun had to hit an alien this time.

As long as nutella is alive AND at least 1 Bunker is alive, the game is not over.

Something was wrong. The aliens were not getting killed anymore. Instead, more and more human vessels fell every time the laser cannon fired.

This time, a vateran warrior of another country, Captain Nanook, was hit when the laser gun operator thought he was an alien.

The aliens' cloaking strategy had worked.

I can end this day now if you people want to, since my online classes ended early.

Suddenly humanity and the aliens had to forget their differences for one day and work together to eliminate a threat from another dimension.

After Dizzy's death, there was a serious argument among the politicians and prominent figures of humanity. What that laser gun plan a good idea? Weren't the aliens just tricking them? Maybe they had already gone away, since the previous night did not see as much violence?

Humans are complex beings, especially in the 21th century, and getting then to agree on something is almost impossible.

But on that night, they were again reminded of their most primal instinct: survival. Because the aliens launched a full scale attack and killed a lot of people.

And the disagreement was again replaced for the widespread conviction that the only thing they could do was fight.

The laser cannon started charging for another shot.

Not sure how to read this.

Is this the mod confirming that aliens DID shoot in the night? I asked whether the aliens can no shoot at night and dont remember a response.

I am not confirming anything. I'm just saying nobody died.

The aliens do have the option not to shoot, though.

I normally start this type of write-up with "a peaceful night" but there's no way this night was peaceful.

No one died, but there was still a lot of "pew pew" flying from the sky to the Earth, and vice-versa. Aliens shot. Humans hid in bunkers. Cities got destroyed. Human aircrafts tried to attack aliens to no avail. Meanwhile, the laser gun recharged.

The war continued, the humanity kept winning. Somehow, the aliens' cloaking strategy was not working. The second night of the battle ended, and they lost another vessel.

At night, the aliens made another invasion. At this point, humanity was prepared for it, so they hid in their bunkers.

Unfortunately, one soldier did not. They were new to the military force that was defending Earth, and they were eager to prove themselves and help protect their loved ones. So while others were hiding, they boarded their jet fighter and tried to attack one of the flying saucers that was blasting a nearby city.

It wasn't a good idea, though. Without the laser cannon, beating the aliens was almost impossible. A very promising career was cut short, way too soon.
