Type: Role Madness, Multi-Ball, Closed Setup
When: first half of October

The concept is that every player gets a very powerful role, but at first, all of your abilities are locked. To unlock them, you need to play and win a series of mini-games that will happen each day phase.

Also I don't think it's likely to hit 40 players. The host will probably settle for 30.

Actually it was an unique situation where I was enjoying the modding but needed a break from posting in that site badly.

I might have taken a break for a while year if it wasn't for the pandemic pushing my boredom levels to sky high.

This guy is the king of bastard mafia games. He takes the genre to another level. Expect to be trolled. Lied to. Tricked. Expect plenty of opportunities to do that to other people, too. Expect heavy role madness, semi-immortal roles, changing alignments, abilities that don't do what the host says they do, players being randomly awarded vig kills on Day 12, roles so powerful and unfair they become memes for years to come.

It's hilariously fun.

The theme is one-shots. Every player gets an ability they can only use once. The abilities can get pretty powerful, but since each night won't have many actions, I believe the game will feel less like ability madness and more like a pure mafia game.

It's for 20 players, with 24/24 phases.

We found a co-host.

Hey guys, I have a strange request for you.

In my other site, Naruto Forums, we have this game called Favorites. It's a huge game with more than 60 players, and huge roles with over 10 abilities each that we host every year.

It's happening right now and it's in Day 2, and being hosted by a guy named iwandesu.

The problem is that iwandesu had two co-hosts, and they both bailed on him before the game started. Now he's alone, and he doesn't seem to be able to host all of it in the spam of 24/24 phases. So the phases are delaying and he is looking for a co-host.

I'm aware we have a lot of games needing players so don't feel pressured if you'd rather join a TS game instead. This is just for those of us who really want one more game.

It's a 30 player, 48/24 hour, role heavy game. It's based on the Ace Attorney videogame series, so it has a game mechanic where you take the players to trial instead of lynching them directly. It's on Day 2 right now.

I think of a game that has you,, Mist Puppet when he's fully invested and WAD/wat from NF and shudder.

As a matter of fact, the guy who hosted that game (familyparka) is one of the seven hosts here. He is the king of alignment changing roles. The other six are:

Aries, who is an even bigger troll and is famous for making games where the story drives the gameplay.

Soneji, who is famous for making TL;DR roles and introducing global game mechanics to NF

myself, who like to come up with mechanics that have nothig to do with mafia and then put them in a game just to see if I can

Law, famous for hosting a series of One Piece games where dead characters remained dead in the following game.

Psychic, who once hosted a bastard game based on Zen phylosophy.

And owner, who likes making games based on multiple BTSCs and whose roles are so crazy the rest of us had to brainstorm for days to balance.

Really, you cant get a better roster than that.

So... just found out NF has a second, underground mafia community. Deep inside the OBD (a forum dedicated for "which character is the strongest" discussions)

I had heard about it before, but didn't think it was big. So I went there and they are hosting a 30 player game, full of people I've never seen before.

We are probably the only site to have two mafia communities lol.

It could be filled today since there is a One Piece chapter coming out and I'm taking the chance to advertise the fuck out of it on the OP forum. Or it could take a few more days. I only need 5 more players though so shouldn't take long.

But I'm not hosting the game before the last week of May regardless of when it fills.

It helps, but usually doesn't get a big number of people.

What is helping me is that I'm making it an interchange between the Mafia and One Piece communities at NF, by hosting the game at the One Piece forum.

Also I feel like I have a chronic mafia burn-out lately, sorta.

Every time I play a game I tend to explode at some point and not want to play it anymore. I also don't feel like trying too hard to scumhunt/appear town and do research like I did before.

Hopefully hosting this game will ignite it, or at least let me have some fun with mafia even if I'm not playing.

Last year I only watched game 3. I honestly wanted to watch more but in the end it seems Game 3 was enough for a whole year.

Yes, I hosted the previous version of that game (and played the one that came before it) and they were both great! I recommend it, if you are looking for a ridiculously big game

This is a common mafia setup already used in other sites, where each player is given two roles at random from a master list of over 100 roles, and they get to pick one.

The game is not guaranteed to be balanced, but it is completely unpredictable. I've played it a few times and it was really fun.

Favorites V has 53 players already, but we can still accept more. And we have accumulated one hell of a role list here:

I envy those who will be playing, that's for sure. Soneji is an amazing host, and I can only imagine DDL is as well. I really think anyone even slightly intrigued from TS should consider playing this.
