I'm sorry everyone, but I find myself overwhelmed with a workload I did not entirely anticipate. I don't think I will be able to run this game in the near future as I had expected. I will give this a day or two so everyone can see this message, but then I will remove the game from sign-ups.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to check out our other open Job by Epignosis as an alternative. I have a feeling it will be a good one.
Sorry to disappoint. I wouldn't do it if I felt I could run the game properly.

Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment [sign-ups]
Would be great to have you Daisy. I hope to finally update the first post with role information in the next week. The game may still be a ways off.

Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment [sign-ups]
I'll give this some time to see how the researcher thing is looking for the crowd. Some folks might be signing up with the belief that they can get a researcher role, so I don't quite want to set the precedent yet that they can be hand-selected. But I won't say it's out of the question either.

Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment [sign-ups]
Nobody defines "bastard" the same way. I don't intend it as a "bastard game". It will have some subtle non-standard elements by way of the researchers, but for everyone else it will be a generally standard experience. With wrinkles.

The Stanford Prison Experiment [sign-ups]
A game for up to 24 players (fewer if necessary)
Semi-open setup to be expanded upon when I have time
Entirely pseudo-scientific and entirely theatric
Entirely pseudo-scientific and entirely theatric
All similarities to Turf Wars purely incidental
Prisoners
~ Uninformed majority
~ Aware of all researcher identities
~ Win by successfully removing [voting out/eliminating] the guards from their positions of power
~ Possible prisoner identification numbers listed below
Spoiler: show
Guards
~ Informed minority
~ May engage in behind-the-scenes communication during all game phases
~ Aware of all researcher identies
~ Psychologically break [kill] one prisoner every night
~ Win by breaking enough prisoners that they are outnumbered or equaled by guards (standard parity win condition for mafia)
~ Provided with fake/safe claims
Researchers
~ Completely informed minority
~ May engage in behind-the-scenes communication during all game phases
~ Aware of all guard and prisoner identities
~ The game will not be a typical "Mafia" experience for these four players, full disclosure
~ Participation in the game thread subject to significant restrictions
~ Players who would prefer not to have such a role may request that in the poll
~ Win the game individually by secret means
~ If numbers need to be reduced, I will likely start here
