Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 6)

Day 6 has ended.

Adam / Marmot has been lynched. They were:

Matriarch Benezia of the Reapers

You are an immensely powerful asari biotic. During each night phase you may select a player. That player will be held in stasis, unable to speak during the following day phase.

~~~
Epignosis has died. He was:
The Geth, aligned with the Reapers
Your collective is drawn to the dominion of the synthetic Reapers, though for the first time there is some ideological disagreement in your ranks. You must decide by the end of the third night phase of the game which course you will follow. You may choose to align with either the Reapers or the Alliance, you may not align with Cerberus or another independent. You will be able to win with the faction you choose and your win condition will align with theirs. You will not be counted among their numbers though for the purposes of deciding the game. If you align with the Reapers, you will not join them in BTSC or be made aware of their identities. They will be made aware of yours.
You are however subservient to nobody, as your history attests. Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may elect to deflect any actions targeted upon you. There will be a 50% chance of the action dissipating, a 25% chance of it being redirected to a randomly selected player, and a 25% chance of it successfully affecting you.
Three times during the game during any separate night phases following the third, you may select a player. If that player is Legion and you have sided with the Alliance, you will be granted BTSC for the following day phase. If that player is Sovereign and you have sided with the Reapers, you will be granted BTSC for the following day phase.
~~~

The Reapers have been eliminated. Cerberus will kill every night.

It is Night 6. You have 12 hours, until 7:00 AM EST, to get your actions to the Hackett account.[/u][/u]

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 6)

NOTICE:

As we continue to encounter difficulties stemming from the site update, it has become necessary to take the site down temporarily again sooner than later to make the necessary changes. Since this game has already been delayed so much, and because I am unsure my own time constraints will allow for further delays, this game will be continuing with shortened game cycles.

Starting on Night 6, we will be moving to 36 hour days and 12 hour nights, meaning the cycles will be reduced from 72 hours to 48. Everything else will remain the same. All night phases will last from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM EST. All day phases will last from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST the following real-time day. So for example:

Day 6 will end as originally stated, at 7:00 PM EST on the 21st. Night 6 will end at 7:00 AM on the 22nd. Day 7 will end at 7:00 PM on the 23rd. And so on.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about this, please direct them my way. Sorry again for all the changes and shifts. I actually think the new cycle will be a bit closer to what HCR is accustomed to (at least based on the one game I played), so it works into the crossover concept I suppose.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 5)

Day 5 has ended. Dyslexicon has been lynched. Spoilers don't work, so no suspense. :fist:

They were:

Saren Arterius of the Reapers

As a rogue Spectre, you have access to unique technology and training. You boast a number of unique abilities which each may be employed during night phases the number of times listed. You may not use more than one action during any single night phase.

2-shot -- You may select a player. That player’s role will not function.
2-shot -- You may select a player. That player will be protected from lethal actions.
1-shot -- You may select a player. You will be told who that player targeted if anyone.
1-shot -- You may select a player. You will be told one of that player’s remaining powers

It is Night 5. You have just under 22 hours, until 7:00 PM EST, to get your night actions to the Hackett sock account. We're returning to the original schedule.

The deadline is 24 hours from now, at 9:14 PM EST tomorrow. You can see it atop the new poll.

I apologize for the eternal game cycle y'all, and for all of this confusion. It wasn't the original intent for anyone involved, but it's probably for the best anyway given the holiday. Everyone has gotten a nice mental break from the intense pressures of Mafia.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 5)

Okay. Clearly the poll expired, but the outage was long enough that I am extending the day one more time. The new deadline will be set when I can fix the poll. Here is how the poll stands at the time I make this change:

Image

CaptainNifty - 1 vote
Dyslexicon - 5 votes
Fredwood - 1 vote
Jackofhearts2005 - 1 vote

These votes no longer count. As was stated at the start of this day phase, they are now phantom votes. The only votes that count for this day phase will be those that come AFTER THIS POST. If you want to keep your previous vote, simply place it again.

NOTE: while the update is being sorted, you'll see that names are no longer attached to votes in the poll. Because of this, it is no longer permissible in this game to merely vote in the poll -- you MUST also vote in a post within this game thread. Your vote MUST be made in a way which is easily visible to the hosts, or you risk your vote being overlooked. Please use this format: CAPS LOCK VOTE PLAYER NAME. For example:

VOTE JAGGEDJIMMYJAY

Votes will be counted in the thread and the poll will be UNOFFICIAL.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Night 4)

Night 4 has ended.
Spoiler: show
TonyStarkPrime has been killed. He was:

Commander John Shepard

You will play this game with a karmic rating. After a lynch, if your final vote was for a member of the town faction, you will gain one renegade point. If your final vote was for a member of a mafia faction, you will gain one paragon point. If your final vote was for an independent player, you will gain no points. If you reach 4 renegade points, you will earn a one-time kill to be used any night phase thereafter. If you reach 3 paragon points, you will earn a one-time use bulletproof vest to protect you from a night kill.

Twice during the game during any night phases, you may inspire loyalty. Select a player; that player’s vote will be worth double during the following day phase.

During the third night phase, you may select a role to romance. The options are: Tali’Zorah, Miranda Lawson, Ashley Williams, Jack, Kelly Chambers, Steve Cortez, and Liara T’Soni (if you are a male Shepard) or Garrus Vakarian, Thane Krios, Kaiden Alenko, Jacob Taylor, Samantha Traynor, Kelly Chambers, and Liara T’Soni (if you are a female Shepard). To successfully achieve romance, certain special conditions which shall not be revealed here must be met. If successful, you will be able to communicate behind the scenes with your romantic partner. If unsuccessful, you may select a different role on the fourth night (and each night thereafter until success).

You must select your gender before the start of Day 1 or it will be randomized.

Spoiler: show
DrWilgy has been killed. He was:

Liara T'Soni

You were working on some Prothean ruins when you discovered the evidence of the cycle of mass extinctions, and realized, with Shepard’s help, that the Reapers were responsible.

You are a very powerful biotic, as most asari are, and once during any night phase you can jailkeep a target, so that they cannot take any actions, nor can they be targeted by anyone else. Additionally, twice per game you can alignment cop a target and determine what faction they are with, if any.

You are a possible romance option for [either] Commander Shepard.
It is Day 5. This phase will last ~~~***72***~~~ hours to account for Sunday's update as well as Easter weekend. Be aware that it is possible the voting poll will be lost at some point during the update. We will restore it at soon as we're able, but if the votes are lost they cannot be retrieved.

Only votes in the FINAL POLL will be counted. Any votes placed in a poll which was lost will be considered phantom votes and will not be counted. If you want your vote to count, please ensure you continually check the game so that your vote is accounted for and current in a poll that is still visible. Since we can't know exactly if/when the poll might be lost, and given the time constraints both malakim and I are faced with, it isn't practical for us to track and combine multiple polls. So again, the FINAL poll is the poll which will determine who is lynched. This might require you to vote again. Please stay attentive. Thank you for your patience with this process.

Malakim will provide that sweet, succulent flavor as soon as he is able.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Night 4)

Hey all, there are going to be some site updates happening today which I am told may create issues here. I am extending this night phase by 24 hours to prevent day phase voting and posts from being affected. Please read this notice from Spacedaisy and be wary that some posts might be at risk of disappearing if made during the update. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.
Spacedaisy wrote:I want to reach out to you specifically because you have an active game in play. I am unsure how drastic the temporary changes will be but I have some suspicions. One of the steps requires deleting all MOD related changes. I am fairly certain this means that the poll function will be down during the update process. There could be other functions we use that are affected as well. I wanted to talk to you about it because I think you might want to have a plan in place for it. maybe an extended phase. I'm going to backup directly before I begin the update, but anything they post after I start is at risk of being lost as well so they may want to hold off once they see the changes start until we get it updated.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 4)

Day 4 has ended. Long Con was lynched.
Spoiler: show
He was:

Aria T'Loak

In your time as the authority ruling over the Omega station, you have accumulated a number of powerful mercenary contacts. You may call upon the three prevailing mercenary corporations of the station as needed to serve your needs. During each night phase of the game, you may enact one of the following listed below. However, to maintain your power over them you will need to balance your usage to keep them content. You may not use any ability twice until all abilities have been used once; you may not use any ability three times until all abilities have been used twice, and so on.

Blue Suns: You may select a player. You will be told who that player targeted if anyone.

Eclipse: You may select a player. That player’s role will not function. This may not prevent a faction night kill.

Blood Pack: You may select a player. That player will be have a 60% chance of being killed.

You will survive the first attempt on your life during any night phase.

To win the game you must survive as the last player standing. If you are in a situation with just one Alliance member alive alongside you, you will be declared the winner. If you are in a situation with just one mafia member alive alongside you, the winner will depend upon other circumstances.
It is Night 4. You have 24 hours until 7:00 PM EST to get your night actions to the Hackett account.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 3)

The Alliance fleet, fronted by the Destiny Ascension and the Normandy, collected within Citadel space to offer resistance to the invading foe. The dark, malevolent alien ship detached itself from Citadel docking and attempted to make its escape, but not before its defenses were shredded under the weight of the fleet's full firepower.

Silver Lantern has been lynched.
Spoiler: show
He was:

Sovereign of the Reapers

During each night phase, you may select a player to indoctrinate. Indoctrination occurs in three stages, each requiring a deliberate targeting of a player (multiple targets to reach higher stages):

Stage One -- Selected player’s night action is randomized to another target if applicable.

Stage Two -- Selected player’s night action is redirected to the target of your choice.

Stage Three -- Selected player’s non-supportive night actions no longer function against your team. Investigative actions will yield false results and offensive actions will fail. Supportive night actions, such as protections, will still function.

You are immune to the first attempt upon your life during any night phase. You are not immune to lynching.
It is Night 3. You have 24 hours to get your night actions to the Hackett account.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 0)

ROLE LIST
*Roles marked with an asterisk are guaranteed to appear in this game.

ALLIANCE (11 roles)
Win the game by eliminating the Reapers, Cerberus, and any hostile independents.

Commander Shepard*

Garrus Vakarian
You were a Turian agent of C-SEC raging against the corruption inherent in the system that allowed Saren to exist. Then Shepard recruited you to stop him, and hey, save the galaxy at the same time!

You are an excellent sniper, and have a one-shot nightkill that you can use. This nightkill can’t be misdirected by another player in any way (this includes mind control or busdriving of your target), though it can be blocked or doctored. Additionally, with your investigative talents as a member of C-SEC, twice during any separate night phases you can target someone at night and determine who they targeted (tracker). You can select either the tracking or the nightkill as your night action.

If you are not engaged in a relationship with Commander Shepard by Night 5, you will end up being masoned with Tali if she is currently in the game. She must also not be engaged in a relationship with Commander Shepard.

Tali’Zorah nar Rayya
You’re just a lonely little quarian on her pilgrimage, and you never dreamed you’d get sucked up in a quest to save the galaxy from the Reapers! Really, it’s like life was some sort of video game!

You are an expert mechanic and an expert in figuring out how things tick. As such, you have two shots at reverse tracking/watching (name a target, you will find out everyone who targeted them) during any separate night phases. In addition to that, you have your trusty combat drone Chatika vas Paus, who will misdirect the target you point out for them twice during any separate night phases. You can select either the reverse tracking or misdirection as your night action.

If you are not engaged in a relationship with Commander Shepard by Night 5, you will end up masoned with Garrus if he is currently in the game. He must also not be engaged in a relationship with Commander Shepard.

Mordin Solus
You are the very model of a Salarian scientist! And since you were recruited by Shepard to stop the Reaper threat, you have a variety of abilities you can use during the game.

Incinerate - One shot roleblock with a chance to kill your target.
Neural Shock - One shot roleblock nexus (anyone targeting you fails in their action)
Salarian Scientist - Two shot alignment cop

Urdnot Wrex
You’re a grizzled mercenary that was hired by the Shadow Broker to take out Fist, but when Shepard needed a crew, you decided to volunteer. And since they found your ancestral armor and proved they were loyal to you, you decided to be loyal to your friend.

You’re a natural bodyguard, and each night you can interpose yourself between your chosen mark and any kill attempts. Though you are a pretty tough krogan, you might not survive the hit attempt. However, if you die defending a town member in this way, you will leave the game with an alternate win condition as krogans love those that die in glorious battle. Your death will also not be janitored, in that case, though keep in mind someone can still nightkill YOU directly!

Miranda Lawson
Genetically engineered and designed to be perfect, you still feel a bit in awe of Commander Shepard, which is why you volunteered for the Lazarus Project in the first place, and why you left Cerberus to follow their lead.

You are a powerful biotic, and thus have a two shot roleblock power that you can use. Additionally, you are familiar with all the financial behind-the-scenes maneuvering of Cerberus, and have a one-shot busdrive that you can use (so anyone targeting player A, would target player B, and vice versa). However, if you are investigated by an alignment checker, you will appear to be aligned with Cerberus.

You are a possible romance option for [male] Commander Shepard.

Grunt
You’re the tank-bred product of Warlord Okeer, designed not to lack the genophage, but to make it completely irrelevant. You have great pride in your ability, and have the instinctive knowledge of thousands of warriors grafted into your DNA.

You have a variety of one-shot abilities that you can use at night (no two may be used simultaneously):

Concussive Shot - You roleblock a target
Incendiary Ammo - You drag a target into the writeup
Fortification - You are immune to nightkills this evening
Berserker - Your vote counts double on the next day phase.

Thane Krios
You are an assassin with a deeply spiritual code, and you agreed to Shepard’s suicide mission without even being paid. You also are doomed to die soon, as you have Kepral’s Syndrome. But you are going to do some good before you leave this world for the next.

You have a variety of one-shot abilities that you may or may not use at night:

Biotic Throw: You roleblock a target, and daze them so their vote does not count in the next day phase.
Warp: You target a player for a nightkill.
Stealth: You can select a target (including yourself) to be hidden for the night, where they can’t be targeted by other players.

You are a possible romance option for [female] Commander Shepard. If you are successfully romanced, you automatically bodyguard Commander Shepard at night in addition to any other actions you take. If you die in the act of bodyguarding Shepard, you leave the game with a victory.

Ashley Williams
Originally one of the marines stationed on Eden Prime, you were saved from the Geth raiders by Commander Shepard. Serving with Shepard for a while, you didn’t approve of them joining Cerberus, but once they came back to the Alliance you believed in them without hesitation.

You’re very good at softening up a target, and once per game you can hit a target at night, automatically adding three votes to them for the next day phase. These three votes will not show up until the final count for the day is done.

If Ashley is in the game, Kaiden will not be in the game.

You are a possible romance option for [male] Commander Shepard.

Kaiden Alenko
You’ve served with Shepard a long time, and also served as co-pilot on the Normandy before it got refitted and Joker took over all those duties. You’re an expert in tech and biotics, and you believe in Shepard without any hesitation.

Once per game, you can busdrive two people (so that everyone that targets player A targets player B, and vice versa). Alternatively, at night you can pass a single note to any player. You can say anything you want in the note, but you can’t pass a note the same night that you busdrive.

If Kaiden is in the game, Ashley will not be in the game.

You are a possible romance option for [female] Commander Shepard.

Liara T’Soni
You were working on some Prothean ruins when you discovered the evidence of the cycle of mass extinctions, and realized, with Shepard’s help, that the Reapers were responsible.

You are a very powerful biotic, as most asari are, and once during any night phase you can jailkeep a target, so that they cannot take any actions, nor can they be targeted by anyone else. Additionally, twice per game you can alignment cop a target and determine what faction they are with, if any.

You are a possible romance option for [either] Commander Shepard.

David Anderson
You are the original captain of the SSV Normandy and a respected representative of human and Alliance interests on the Citadel. You have a talent for motivation and for galvanizing troops into action.

Three times during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player. If that player has a limited-shot ability, he or she will gain an extra shot to be used at the time of his or her choosing.

Jeff “Joker” Moreau
You and EDI have forged a unique relationship in the cockpit of the Normandy. The ship and its crew rely heavily upon the both of you to handle its operation and navigation. You work much better together than you do separately. If either of you dies, the other will be stripped of any special abilities and become vanilla. If you are in the game, EDI is guaranteed to be in the game as well.

Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player A and a Player B. Actions performed by Player A will be targeted to Player B, and actions performed by Player B will be targeted to Player A. They must be two different players.

Dr. Karin Chakwas
You’re a highly experienced Alliance doctor, and though you could easily serve Earthside or with any other post, you like the thrill of the frontier and working with Shepard as the Normandy’s doctor.

Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player. That player will be protected from any fatal night actions.

Legion
You are a collective of 1,183 separate consciousnesses on a mobile platform, and are fascinated by Commander Shepard. Tracing his steps on behalf of the greater Geth collective, you acquired some N7 armor to repair yourself and joined Shepard’s crew shortly afterwards.

You are an accomplished sniper, and twice per game you can provide cover fire to guide your target, so they cannot be misdirected or blocked during the night phase. Additionally, you can overclock your shield systems, so there is a small chance (15%) that a night kill will not affect you. The overclocking is automatic and does not need to be sent in as an action.

Jack
You are among the most powerful human biotics known to the galaxy. Your abilities have earned you much unwanted attention from Cerberus from early childhood onward, and it has left you jaded about the world around you. Once you develop trust for a person though, you can become fiercely loyal.

Once during the game during any night phase, you may select a player. That player will be given a one-time bulletproof vest (a strong biotic shielding) which will protect them from the first attempt on their life at any time after that point. The recipient will not be made aware of this.

You are a possible romance option for [male] Commander Shepard.

James Vega
You are an experienced Marine of the Systems Alliance, strong of will and heart but also naive the political underpinnings of galactic relations.

You have access to a number of one-shot abilities which may be used during any separate night phases:

Carnage - Selected player will begin the following day phase with one extra vote
Frag grenade - Selected player and all players targeting or being targeted by that player the same night will each have a 50% chance of being role blocked.
Tuck and roll - You will be immune to all non-lethal night actions this night.

Jacob Taylor
You were a career Alliance soldier, but when the Council wouldn’t do anything about the Reapers, you decided to sign on with Cerberus as they wanted to protect humanity. You got assigned to the Lazarus Project with Miranda, and when Shepard was awakened, your wavering loyalty to Cerberus transferred right to Shepard.

You have a variety of one-shot powers that you can use:
Incendiary Ammo - You drag your target into the writeup
Biotic Pull - You roleblock your target.
Barrier - You can protect either yourself or another player from nightkills that evening.

However, due to your prior affiliation with Cerberus, you will show up as Cerberus on alignment checks. You are also a possible romance option for [female] Commander Shepard.

Steve Cortez
You are a capable Alliance pilot aboard the Normandy SR-2 also responsible for maintaining the ship’s armory.

Once during any night phase, you may select a player. That player will be granted a weapons upgrade, allowing them permanent immunity to all disruptive actions such as role blocks and misdirections.

You are a possible romance option for [male] Commander Shepard.

Samara
You are an asari justicar, having joined the Order after you discovered that you had the recessive genes of an Ardat-Yakshi in your DNA. And your three children were cursed with that burden. Now that you have finally killed your daughter Morinth, you have dedicated yourself to Shepard’s cause.

You have a variety of one-shot powers that you can use:
Biotic Pull - You roleblock your target
Biotic Throw - You roleblock a target, and daze them so their vote does not count in the next day phase.
Reave - You target a player, with two effects. You weaken the target so that any other player that targets them has a chance to nightkill them (the more players targeting, the greater the chances), and you bolster yourself so you resist kill attempts that evening.

EDI
You and Joker have forged a unique relationship in the cockpit of the Normandy. The ship and its crew rely heavily upon the both of you to handle its operation and navigation. You work much better together than you do separately. If either of you dies, the other will be stripped of any special abilities and become vanilla. If you are in the game, Joker is guaranteed to be in the game as well.

Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player. That player will be protected from non-lethal hostile or disruptive actions, such as but not limited to role blocks and misdirection.

Kelly Chambers
You were originally assigned by Cerberus to be Shepard’s assistant as well as the counselor on the Normandy. However, your feelings for Shepard and their cause overrode any loyalty to Cerberus, and you joined with the crew full time.

As Shepard’s assistant, each night you may either add or subtract one vote from a player in the game. This vote will not show up in the poll, but will be factored into the final tally to determine ties and lynches. You may not target yourself.

You are a possible romance option for [either] Commander Shepard.

Samantha Traynor
You are a dedicated communications specialist aboard the latest Normandy ship. You serve as a liaison for the commander with Alliance brass, as well as the rest of the crew.

Three times during any separate night phases, you may select a Player A and a Player B. Player A will be given the privilege of sending a single private message to Player B during the following day phase, with hosts copied on the message. No response will be permitted.

You are a possible romance option for [female] Commander Shepard.

REAPERS (3 roles)
They share behind the scenes communication. Win the game by eliminating the Alliance, Cerberus, and any hostile independents.
They kill on Nights 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12 (and so on with even-numbered nights)

Sovereign*

Harbinger
You are a Reaper in charge of oversight of Collector operations in the Milky Way. Your methods involve consciousness possession, and you can control unwitting servants at your whim to advance Reaper interests.

Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may inhabit the consciousness of another player. That player will be forced to vote as you command during the following day phase.

Saren Arterius
As a rogue Spectre, you have access to unique technology and training. You boast a number of unique abilities which each may be employed during night phases the number of times listed. You may not use more than one action during any single night phase.

2-shot -- You may select a player. That player’s role will not function.
2-shot -- You may select a player. That player will be protected from lethal actions.
1-shot -- You may select a player. You will be told who that player targeted if anyone.
1-shot -- You may select a player. You will be told one of that player’s remaining powers

Matriarch Benezia
You are an immensely powerful asari biotic. During each night phase you may select a player. That player will be held in stasis, unable to speak during the following day phase.

The Collectors
You are protected by shielding constructed of scavenged and Reaper technology. During any day phase(s), you may remove two votes from yourself. You may remove one at a time during separate days, or both at the same time.

The Catalyst
You’re responsible for the cycle of Reaper invasions, and your direct interaction with the organic species of the galaxy is extremely rare. Three times during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player. A four-sided die will be rolled.

1 - You will be told that player’s role.
2 - That player’s vote will be doubled during the next day phase.
3 - That player will be temporarily insanified.
4 - Nothing will happen.

CERBERUS (3 roles)
They share behind the scenes communication. Win the game by eliminating the Alliance, the Reapers, and any hostile independents.
They kill on Nights 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13 (and so on with odd-numbered nights)

The Illusive Man*
You are the mysterious and brilliant leader of the organization Cerberus. You’ll stop at nothing to ensure humanity emerges from the Reaper conflict not only intact, but also stronger than the other races of the Alliance.

Once during the game during any night phase, you may select a player. You will forge that player’s role so that whenever he or she dies by whatever means, their role will be revealed to be whichever role you choose instead of their true role. It will be possible for this to result in two different people dying and being revealed as the same role.

During each night phase, you may select a player. You will be told whether that player is a human, a non-human organic species, or a synthetic race. Your vote is worth 1.5 when placed upon non-humans and synthetics you have identified.

You are immune to the first attempt on your life during any night phase. You are not immune to lynching.

Dr. Eva Coré
You are top-of-the-line infiltration technology. If you deliver the faction night kill, you are immune to being caught by tracking or watching/reverse-tracking. This applies through the full length of your life in the game.

Kai Leng
You are The Illusive Man’s most trusted assassin. You have full, uninhibited access to the breadth of Cerberus’s most advanced technology. You boast a number of unique abilities which may be each be employed during night phases the number of times listed. You may not use more than one action during any single night phase.

2-shot -- That player’s vote will be worth zero during the following day phase.
2-shot -- You may select a player. You will be told that player’s alignment.
1-shot -- You may select a player to poison. That player will die at the end of the following night phase. This cannot be prevented by any means. This power replaces the faction night kill that evening.
1-shot -- You may select a player. That player will be immune to all other actions that night.
1-shot -- You may elect to commute for the night phase, rendering yourself immune to all actions that night.

Henry Lawson
You are a wealthy connoisseur of biological and genetic experimentation. The Illusive Man has tasked you with the study and development of Reaper indoctrination technology and techniques. If you are still alive after the third night phase, The Illusive Man will gain the same indoctrination capabilities described in the ‘Sovereign’ role.

Twice during the game you during any separate night phases, you may select a player. If that player is Miranda Lawson, her vote will be worth zero during the following day phase. If not, that player will be unable to post during the following day phase.

Donnel Udina
If you are investigated by an alignment checker, you will appear to be aligned with the Alliance. Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player. That player will be able to use their role twice the following night. For those with limited-shot roles, on the appropriate night two usages of their role will count as one. This does not apply to any faction night kill and may not be used for The Illusive Man's forging ability.

Oleg Petrovsky
You are an experienced and formidable military strategist focused on the preservation of humanity. Three times during the game during any separate night phases, you may select a player. That player’s role will not function.

INDEPENDENTS (2 roles)

The Thorian
You are essentially ageless by the standards of the Alliance races, and you have little time for their concerns. You emit powerful spores which can infect the minds of those you would enthrall. During each night phase, you may select a player. That player will have a 75% chance of being required to vote as you dictate during the following day phase. This does not affect all possible votes placed during the day by that player; it only affects the final vote. The player will not be told who is in control over his/her vote.

Aria T’Loak

The Geth
Your collective is drawn to the dominion of the synthetic Reapers, though for the first time there is some ideological disagreement in your ranks. You must decide by the end of the third night phase of the game which course you will follow. You may choose to align with either the Reapers or the Alliance, you may not align with Cerberus or another independent. You will be able to win with the faction you choose and your win condition will align with theirs. You will not be counted among their numbers though for the purposes of deciding the game. If you align with the Reapers, you will not join them in BTSC or be made aware of their identities. They will be made aware of yours.

You are however subservient to nobody, as your history attests. Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may elect to deflect any actions targeted upon you. There will be a 50% chance of the action dissipating, a 25% chance of it being redirected to a randomly selected player, and a 25% chance of it successfully affecting you.

Three times during the game during any separate night phases following the third, you may select a player. If that player is Legion and you have sided with the Alliance, you will be granted BTSC for the following day phase. If that player is Sovereign and you have sided with the Reapers, you will be granted BTSC for the following day phase.

Leviathan
Your ancient race regards itself as the apex of biological life in the galaxy. To a point responsible for the Reaper invasion cycle themselves, they’ve learned to avoid complete annihilation through the millennia. They have remained in hiding though and only recently has re-emerged at the potential of the new Alliance races to end the cycle.

During each night phase, you may select a player. You will be told that player’s alignment. You will not be permitted to reveal your findings publicly.

To win the game, you must outlive the entire Reaper faction as well as Commander Shepard and The Illusive Man.

Hosted by JaggedJimmyJay and malakim2099
RULES

1. Be respectful of each other and remember that this is just a game for fun. Competition can be part of that fun so long as it remains respectful.
2. Do not communicate with any player about this game outside this game thread unless you have permission from the hosts to do so.
3. You may not edit or delete posts.
4. Role outing and info-dumping are allowed. The game is designed to incorporate this.
5. Self-voting is permitted.
6. Double targeting is not permitted.
7. Dead players should refrain from posting in the game thread with anything other than completely irrelevant content. If it is even remotely related to the game at hand, please do not post it. If this rule is violated, the faction of the violating dead player will be punished. Isolated dead posts with irrelevant material here and there are not a big deal. If you post while dead, use dead red.
8. Off-topic posts should be in off-topic green. There is an "OT" code for this function.
9. This is your hosts' color. I don't care if you use it.
10. Non-Players are to post in Non-Player blue.
11. Participation is strongly encouraged. There are no rigid guidelines regarding minimum post count or time between votes placed. If a player is not participating, the hosts will see to a replacement if possible. Modkills are not out of the question.

GAMEPLAY

1. Each Day will consist of a period of 48 hours, except for Day 0, which will last for 24 hours. At the conclusion of each Day, the player with the most votes will be lynched, and the lynched player's role will be revealed. Before the end of each Day, you must cast your vote to participate in the lynch. In the event of a tie, the lynch will be randomized unless otherwise stated.
2. Each Night will consist of a period of 24 hours. All night actions must be submitted to the hosts during this time.
3. All votes are changeable.
4. All aligned players may win with their factions dead or alive.
5. This is a semi-open setup. You may see a list of roles which could possibly be in the game, but not which ones are.

ALL NIGHT ACTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THIS SOCK ACCOUNT: Hackett -- the hosts will be tracking actions through this account, not our standard accounts.

MODERATOR ON DUTY

Your MoD for this game is Sloonei. He is here to help in the event of players becoming frustrated, distraught, or otherwise distressed. Since the hosts are limited in what they are able to say to players, the MoD serves as the ideal resource for venting or airing of grievances. If at any point you are frustrated with the game, another player, or either host, please don't hesitate to send Sloonei a private message. He will be happy to talk through it with you.
