They play a different kind of game over there, and it's an interesting experience for people like me who think we already know everything.

I am taking a chill pill though and trying to sustain maximal motivation for the tournament.

I'll give it a go, [mention]leetic[/mention]. It's been quite some time since I last played there. Maybe we can work to arrange more cross-community play. I had voiced the potential for an outright crossover game a few years ago, but it did not materialize.

Are you sure the people who signed up in December-January still remember?

Such a thing is not possible.

Even at the 70 player game we had last year, there were like 25 highly invested players, another 25 mildly invested ones, and maybe 20 inactives.

We might need to advertise our games in sign-ups "overseas" like our friends have done here.

I do feel temptation to join both the NF and Bulba games. I would love to try my game out in a foreign land again. But I am signed up for two games already and I am just not the type of player to play numerous games simultaneously.

I won't be participating this year, I've already informed Thingyman of that. I just don't have time with my move happening pretty much during the games. I'm actually not sure finalists are meant to play in the following tournament anyway; I don't believe any finalists from Season 1 took part in Season 2.

They're about to have an exhibition game between the finalists from those first two seasons, it should be a lot of fun to watch. Unfortunately I can't take part for the same reason above.

I am really looking forward to hashing out with my folks on RYM who should be the representative this year. It'll be so much fun to root on someone else from the motherland.

Yeah I liked Banks a lot more in the finale. :P

The Syndicate sent Turnip Head as their representative. He was in Game 3, probably the most exciting game of the tournament.

How far along is the game?

We're currently on Day 7 in one timeline, Day 6 in another timeline, and Day 2 on another timeline.



Translation: the game isn't that far along yet, but I will say that it's a complex design. I'd still love to have you aboard, FZ.

Wish me luck, Syndicateers. I've encountered some interesting influences already in my short time here that I think could help me in this thing. Thanks folks!

(please refrain from posting in the game thread, they're big sticklers about dead or non-players influencing the game in even the most subtle ways)

It turns out the game I mentioned earlier is cancelled because the moderator-to-be was banned. :P

However, we're still going to run a game with all of the same signer-uppers as before. We need four more to complete the roster:

Which makes perfect sense because the theme will be time travel.

RYM Game #89 is in sign-ups now if anyone is interested.

I'm told the theme is not to be fully revealed, but that it will be inspired in part by the video game "Heavy Rain". It will be a closed setup with some "experimental" wrinkles.

The moderator is hoping for 16 players; I doubt he'd object to more.
