Re: Pikachu Tribe - Day 9

Honestly, it's just process of elimination. I have strong to moderate reasons to read everyone in here as town except for wilgy.

Again, we just lost two baddies from this tribe. There were 10 of us initially. If there's multiple baddies left in here, that would mean we started with at least a 6 vs 4 spread in this tribe and still managed to eliminate one member from each team in a single day phase. I don't think that happened. I'm comfortable assuming that there is a maximum of one mafia member in this tribe at the moment.

If we're just gonna go "Hey lets lynch X and not talk about anything or anyone else" for like...the rest of the game... IDK.
My predetermined preference to lynch wilgy has to do with the 7 days I spent in the Cerberus thread with wilgy and the rest of us newcomers in which i came to feel good about all of them to varying degrees. I can't help it if the three players I have the most reason to read as town all came to this tribe.

Why can't it be wilgy?

Re: Pikachu Tribe - Day 9

Paranoia is unnecessary and maybe even irresponsible right now. I know the tribal configuration are to be treated as more or less random, but we can assume that they're relatively balanced in terms of alignment distribution, or they were at the time of button-pushing.
We just eliminated two baddies on our first day together. Odds are this tribe is currently comprised predominantly of civilians. If there was ever a time to be calm and collected in a mafia game, it's now.

Re: Pikachu Tribe - Night 8

I've said this already, but just for the sake of clarity:
My top town reads in Cerberus were Kyle, spacedaisy, and Scotty. Those three all happened to be come along here. I find it unlikely that I could be swayed to vote for any of them at this time.
Marmot was my primary suspect for a while. We've lynched him on two consecutive days and that suspicion has been validated. Sweet.
DrWilgy is, as always, a wild card. I pegged him as a light green town read on my imaginary rainbow, but as the POE field is narrowed down, he sticks out as a good candidate to be lynched.

Epi and DH (along with Quin) were my town reads when I peaked in here on Night 3. Nothing about today's events have swayed me change my mind on them. If sprityo is Cecil, and Cecil is civilian, that leaves us (or me, at least) with wilgy and nobody else as a suspect. I uh guess I'll be inclined to vote for him tomorrow.

The known team are the Evil Evens and so far, their members' ultimate role numbers have been even.

This leads me to believe the other team is called the Obnoxious Odds, and that their ultimate role numbers will be odd.

To use your words, I haven't given it much thought. I just took it to be a reference to Mass Effect Mafia (from which Citadel Council comes).
If the hosts are going for symmetry, the Obnoxious Odds would be the other mafia team. I don't know if that's what they're going for, or if they're just mashing things together colorfully. Do you think this might be significant?

My head is at wanting to lynch Marmot among our tribe members, but also hoping to give the other tribe a chance to lynch speedchuck due to the evidence pointed against him right now. If it is up to me, which it always should be, we should give Marmot a comfortable lead in the poll, but not so much that it becomes impossible for the other tribe to override us.

Unless there is another member of this tribe who others might consider a better option than Marmot.

Niju is player I was growing weary of. She was given a pass for a while because she was the first player nightkilled in the game, but that's clearly something that should be discarded at this point. I had a few substantial reasons for suspecting her that can't really be fleshed out here, and it's been a while since I looked at the other thread anyway.

LoRab was our "low-hanging fruit" option and for most of the game people have been trying to push a case against her, myself included, but I eventually dropped it myself. I don't know how others feel/felt about her.

Boomslang is a big shrug. Of all the players in this game, I think he's the one I am least familiar with. He didn't do anything to stand out as a civilian, but I couldn't find much that was explicitly suspicious about him either.

It was difficult to develop strong reads in our tribe because, until the very last day, we never lynched anybody and the players who were being killed were generally our town reads, the exceptions being sig and INH. we were just coming out of our pseudo-Day 1 phase when the button was pushed.
And you think a thread that couldn't lynch a single person over 8 days will be able to lynch Chuck?
given the evidence that I believe to be available to them, yes. And this is a moot point anyway, given that the thread is now populated by a new group of players. And given that I am not advocating for us waving the white flag today. I just don't think it's imperative that we lynch one of our own today given that the other tribe has the player around whom there is greatest suspicion. If the ideal result of Day 8 is for speedchuck to be lynched, then the other tribe will need to execute a lynch. what part of this are you resisting?

Epignosis wrote: Sun Mar 18, 2018 4:10 pm Sloonei, do you believe the other mafia team is called the Obnoxious Odds?
I don't think this has to be the case. It's possible. I haven't given it much thought.

what do you make of the "Citadel Council" from the write-ups?

Epignosis wrote: Sun Mar 18, 2018 3:56 pm Sloonei, besides Marmot and DrWilgy, who've been brought up here, were there any major suspects from your original tribe? I'm sorry if you already answered this elsewhere here.

Re: Pikachu Tribe - Day 8

I think we should continue developing our reads and suspicions and place our votes accordingly, but I don't think it's necessary that we lynch a player from this tribe today.

Epignosis wrote: Sun Mar 18, 2018 3:41 pm I still think we should have the most votes on the person who should be lynched here (relative to ourselves) just in case something unexpected happens (like two lynches).
Me too.

And assume that the other thread has the nutella flip?
I'd bet that they do.
And that they'll remember Chuck's fake flip,
Our first instinct was to look back for players who had had their roles/alignments revealed out of the blue. There are resourceful mafia players in the other tribe and I have confidence that they'd do the same.
and that they'll lynch chuck?
If the first two points hold up, I see no reason why they would not do this.
Too much to go on.
I disagree.

Speedchuck seems to be our consensus top suspect right now. The only way for us to pursue his death is by abstaining from a lynch.
