Re: [ENDGAME] Bullets Over Broadway Mafia

I would like to say that this was one of the best and most memorable (and the longest by far) games I've ever played and I appreciate everyone who participated, and hope all the no-shows are doing well too. But also that this will he the last time anyone around here sees me in a game for a while. I hope to return and play some more when I have time (probably in January). I really enjoy this community, y'all are great and I'm sorry I have to go absent so soon.

I dig this thinking. I should follow you.
I also think we should take a look at DFaraday's interactions, since he's a fresh case and all.

Metalmarsh89 wrote:Considering the BR never did mention DREAM or Devin, I don't see either of them being a teammate of Black Rock. I'm still excluding nijuu from the list for reasons, even though she is an active player but BR never talked to/about her. That leaves Gumshoe, TH/SVS, and fingersplints.
Not sure I understand why you're excluding DREAM and Devin here. Why would a player have to mention another player for them to possibly be associated with one another? Also, wasn't BR a corrupted townie? At what point was she corrupted, and what can we assume was the nature of that corruption?
Gumshoe --- Gumshoe and BR interacted a few times during Day 0/Day 1 during her guaranteed civilian phase. But she never did talk to him again, nor did she ever acknowledge that he had disappeared. Their interactions were not meaningful in that either one suspected the other, so it could be reasonable to assume that she just forgot about him. That said, I'd say there's a slightly stronger chance that Gumshoe is Wildhorn over Devin.

TH/SVS --- with the way BR continued to dog TH, I think she was looking for someone to frame, and an excuse to suspect him. I think SVS is not Team Wildhorn as a result of this.

fingersplints --- If we don't actually lynch an inactive today, I think BR's interactions with fingersplints are most suspicious. I haven't looked at fingersplints' side of the relationship yet, but BR's only comments with her involved lightheartedness, friendliness, and sarcasm. I find these interactions far more significant than the lack of interaction with nijuukyugou.
You describe BR's interactions with splints as "suspicious" and "significant", but I'm not really seeing reasons why you feel this way. Sure, they could have been lighthearted and friendly, but does that really suggest a partnership between the two?

dfaraday is my strongest suspect atm so will place my vote there for now. Sloonei I am right there with you with still finding nijuu suspicious. I don't know why MM is trying to push her as a confirmed civvie. I don't trust him at all though, so I am not really surprised by that. I would consider voting for him or nijuu as well.

nijuu I'm positive I have had more then 3 votes actually with the changing votes. (off the top of my head the two you mention from DF, some from nutella, you at least once I think, one from Golden when silenced, and another from JJJ) Just because they changed off of me doesn't mean they weren't cast.

Golden, I vote as late as I can every single game (I feel like a broken record as I know I have said this before), but have needed to especially in this one where I have been under considerable suspicion for days. I'm not sure how anyone can fault me for holding my vote to possibly save myself.
This would be more convincing if she actually did have any days with a lot of votes on her. She has remained in discussion, yet has received less than 5 total votes. I'm not including changeable votes, and even those were not significant enough to warrant what she says above, if I recall correctly.

Re: [Day 13] Bullets Over Broadway Mafia

I am still not completely convinced about nijubloop. While we can all assume to know of an ability that she has, we do not know any details about this presumed role. Her behavior lately has got me to settle down on my case against her, but I'm not going to drop it just yet.

I feel like fingersplints is the player I need to reevaluate next. I've only played one game with her before this, but spectated a couple others. In that one game (Economics) I was dead on Night 2, and splints wasn't super active up to that point. Can a Syndicate regular offer an updated meta read on her, particularly with regards to the comments about her votes?

Yes. I think I agreed before that her in-thread defenses sound civ, but her votes and timing of those votes make her look like a sneaky baddie. Voice can be manipulated. Votes can only hide you for so long.

MM, I think, is clearly not on team two. But honestly, all of his baddie hunting reinforces that he isn't on team two. It always felt to me as though he was expending more effort trying to sort out what was up with team 2 than team one. He's been so focussed on missing kills and unknown forces... even night stuff.
I remember making a similar observation about him very early in the game (that he seemed to be looking for a scum team rather than individual scum players), and that this is resurfacing again on Day 13 just adds to the bad feelings I'm getting from him.

Re: [Day 13] Bullets Over Broadway Mafia

I feel better about lynching Metalmarsh than DFaraday at this point. I think in a high-pressure late-game situation like this, there would likely be at least one scum player trying hard to keep their finger on the pulse of the thread, directing things and being as involved as they can be. Metalmarsh fits that bill perfectly. Of all the players who have been highly vocal at any point in this game, he's the one that has done the least to distinguish himself as a townie. This is why I am interested to hear somebody argue for his towniness rather than his scumminess.
