If Frog is town he'd be too big a loss on Day 1. Keep going after him on Day 2 and don't be deterred if he throws up tons of posts or insists everyone is wrong without giving a reason.

Re: Mafia Championship Scrimmage
The last 3 points are why I think you are a valid candidate. You've loaded the thread with posts and produced a lot of content (thanks) but then come out of it saying we should lynch someone who's not providing content? Then what was the point of this whole day?Frog wrote:To the people seriously voting me,
My early game was aggro across the board for reaction testing. I answered everyone's questions early game 0_o
I identified town reads by fighting with them and seeing how they react.
I was the first to post a full rainbow list.
I suggested the gamed strategy of hypoclaiming.
I suggested the strategy to straddle the slankers on wagons.
I've developed and drove content and strategies with a mountain of posts.
Anyone towns seriously voting me need to reevaluate their play.
Ditto re: point 2.
And point 3, you are again just making a blunt statement that the suspicions against you are wrong without a full response. Just "no you're wrong" and nothing else. That does not look good.

It's not like anyone said 'a CFD would be fun, why not?' Of course it is only a good tactic if you don't want any of the existing candidates lynched.
Similarly, I wouldn't have just made a three way tie if I felt any of the three candidates were people I felt strongly about not lynching. In Champs, I didn't like a big tie because I felt strongly that two of the candidates were town. It all comes down to how you feel about the people on the block, ultimately.

What do you think of Sloonei’s push on you? You defended, but what does that mean in regards to his alignment?
I disagree on the fake claiming part because in MU there actually a power role cover system where everybody claims all the roles so that the real ones get to “naturally” throw their real results in without standing out too much. And others fakeclaim to draw NKs.
Zexy + Sig = Town
Marco + Sloonei = scum teamish - On page 2 Marco randomly defends Sloonei. Lol. Obv slip is obvious.
The logic probably doesn't hold though haha, and that's fine!

What Frog’s done in the beginning is scummy (strategy talk + RVS hypocrisy), but votes piled up a bit too easily which made me paranoid, mostly about Marco. And Frog’s accusations of Marco are really good and he brings up towny points, although he overdoes it with TMI at some point. And there’s some tunneling going on here. I have more trouble accepting a Marco/Sloonei team than just Marco being mafia in the two.
Yet when it comes to Sloonei VS Frog, while Sloonei looks like he wins the argument easily, there is paranoia that kicks in as well. Sloonei’s cases are a bit too perfect. If he is so good, assuming he’s town, it means he could be good scum as well…
That’s it for now, will be back later.

His trying to constantly reduce things to mechanical rules about what scum would do are not only obviously fallacious (because the moment rules develop around 'what scum would do', scum deliberately act counter to that) but also feel like someone making a play for town leader.
I see Frog's content almost as deliberate wifom - on one hand I can read it as trying to avoid being the NK target. On the other as trying to avoid being the lynch target. The one thing I have difficulty seeing it as is absolutely straight. He started off feeling quite straightforward to me, but he's wobbled his way off the road.

I've already made my case. I don't like your responses either. Your response, because you put the responsibility on others. You said you scumread Frog, but are following him anyway based on what other people have said. In your response, you also apologized for "taking a spot in the game". I also have a tin-foil theory that you and MP are scum buddies.

I'm mostly freaked out why I'm the only one suspecting this, and everyone else is like "let's lynch a random lurker or something lol".
I definitely do not approve of an End of Day where the dominant discussion is about which lurker to lynch. Lynching a lurker is what you do when analysis of actual content fails you. I don't think this town is incapable of analyzing things and picking a better candidate out of the chatter. What are everyone's thoughts on the noisy people?

What if I told you that this sort of thing is not atypical of zebra? I do not disagree that she is a reasonable suspect, and my vote for her earlier wasn't entirely baseless, but what you just described is something that I can believably see zebra doing as a townie. I've played many games with that zebra and the aggressive behavior you are describing is not atypical.Dyslexicon wrote:I'll try, but it's very much you should read it yourself. So she self voted stating that she would much rather lynch herself than MP cause he was such a strong town read. She makes a point of not having any scum reads so that's why she votes herself, she also makes a point of saying that if she was scum she would fabricate a scum read instead. So this is trying to come off as sacrificial town. She says she thought one of her or MP would be lynched, however there was plenty of time before day end at this point (she claims to not know how long it was). What follows is kind of a sift through lurkers to find someone else than her and MP to lynch. Zebra defends quite a lot of lurkers, and I believe she is playing it up as her not wanting to move over to "easy targets" painting herself more as sacrificial town. She mentions that voting lurkers is bad because the info you get from them is so scarce. However what happens is she decides to vote MM (who is arguably a lurker at this point), and she says she is ok with lynching LC (also lurker). The wagon on Zebra dissolves, and at the end of it she has zero votes.Sloonei wrote:Give me the abridged versionDyslexicon wrote:You should vote for Zebra. The why is in my ISO.
I believe she is trying to come across as town, and it doesn't read genuine to me. At the point when she voted herself she also had been in discussion with a few players (Frog, Golden) enough to at least have some suspicion on them imo, or she could find a better target than herself.
I seem to be the only one suspecting her now, and she isn't reaction well to my suspicion imo. See in my ISO my post that has pretty colors. Basically I see her doing a lot of "Why do you say I'm doing X?" when I have accused her of doing Y.
Brevity is not a skill that I possess.
I can get behind the theory that she is trying to present an image as a "sacrificial town", but I do not think that has to be the case when reading her.

Re: Mafia Championship Scrimmage
people who are more involved than me seem to trust Frog. But i'm gonna stick with my gut and say that's unwise. A lot of his early interactions with me and Marco felt off and I had a hard time believing the things he was saying.Metalmarsh89 wrote:a2thezebra wrote:A lot can change in a few hours regarding reads, you know this just as well as I do.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I fail to see how Frog being Sloonei's top suspect only a few hours beforehand supports this statement.Golden wrote:What MM fails to account for in his case on sloonei is the extent to which sloonei already town read or trusted ika vs frog. Ok, but wert Sloonei, there was no change of opinion during that time.
People are taking what Golden said here as fact when he admitted that he was making an inaccurate statement to poke at my case.
Now i'm leaving

Re: Mafia Championship Scrimmage
Frog is still my top suspect, but I'm taking that with more than just one grain of salt because I still habe not read anything extensively past the first couple hours of the game and I probably won't be able to get cauht up ever. Again, I apologize. You can lynch me if you all think that's the best thing to do, but i'm not bad and you should just wait for my replacement instead.
I'm moving my vote back to Frog because I might as well vote on my own terms.
Massive linki. @ zebra, thanks and yeah, everything i've posted since last night has been exhaustion-fueled. Not exhausted from this game, but exhausted from real life. I'm workig every day this week as well as the last three days in a row now and I have various other RL commitments to deal with. I simpy don't have the time or energy needed to play this game right now.
STOP POSTING FOR A SECOND WILL YOU?

Re: Mafia Championship Scrimmage
I asked ima why but not Frog because I knew Frog had narrowed his list down to the four of you because you hadn't posted much at that time. Ika just drew MP's name out of a hat and I wanted him to give us all something substantial.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Sloonei pops in and says this last night, asking everyone who he should vote for. Ika was the first one to respond to him with movingpictures, to which Sloonei immediately asks why.Sloonei wrote:Somebody tell me who I should vote for. I am not going to be able to read this thread tonight. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. I probably should have stayed on the sidelines.
And again.Sloonei wrote:Why?ika wrote:moving picutreSloonei wrote:Somebody tell me who I should vote for. I am not going to be able to read this thread tonight. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. I probably should have stayed on the sidelines.
But after ika gives Sloonei MP's name, Frog chimes in with a list of 4 names. Here is Sloonei's response.Sloonei wrote:Now I'm asking why. Sloonei doesn't ask why, but takes those four names and narrows his options down to zebra. He then comes up with a weak case on zebra.Sloonei wrote:I won't vote metalmarsh because being flaky and elusive early on is his MO. I won't vote Pligifudhdjd because they're a stranger and I don't want to vote a stranger on Day 1 without substance to back me up. Zebra is sometimes quiet and sometimes aggressive early on. Her quietness, in my experience, has been either because she's scum or is busy. I could vote for her.Frog wrote:Sloonei wrote:Somebody tell me who I should vote for. I already gave you 4 names, let me lead
[*]Marshmellow
[*]Pilfirmous
[*]Dr Wigly
[*]A2Zebra
Wilgy is normally a vocal player but Imm pretty sure he's currently in a tense late-game situation in Spirited Away so his semi-absence here would be explainable.
Zebra is my top choice of these names, I guess. I'll have a look.
Then he votes for zebra.Sloonei wrote:a2thezebra wrote:This isn't spam by the way because I'm making a crucial point with these posts.
D.This seems like zebra is just trying to be contrarian and throw a wrench in Frog's proposed plan, but the stated reasoning does not really seem effective or sensible. Just "I'm going to tell you this plan is bad because I can."a2thezebra wrote:Okay, now I have a total of 11 posts. I am no longer in the bottom four.
...And yet I am just as likely to be bad as I was before I started posting.
Frog can deny it all he wants, but the methods he's using to base his vote are absolutely advocating a policy lynch.
Sloonei wrote:VOTE A2THEZEBRA, happy!?
Addendum: Sloonei treats the interactions with ika and Frog in these circumstances way too differently. Ika suggests he vote MP, and does give reasons why, but ika asks for evidence, before disappearing. Then you have the Frog interaction, where Sloonei readily narrowed his vote down to zebra, voted for zebra (with the strange reluctant "Happy!?" thrown in), and hasn't posted since.
I realize Sloonei has very limited time this game, but I still don't like this sequence. I think Sloonei is bad.
Hello and goodbye again, I just got home from work and now I have to run back out. I'm sorry for taking up a spot in this game, my schedule is not getting better any time soon.
