I don’t know how people manage to play two games at once and not just flake on one of them. I can’t fit two mafia games into my brain at the same time.

I prefer this system as well. It just wasn't implemented for this game.

I do kind of want to apologize to the mafia team for something they haven't mentioned: the timing of the replacement. I wanted to replace Enrique sooner but was not hearing back from folks. I asked speedchuck as a last resort right before end game and he hopped in. I greatly appreciate him for bringing life to a dead player slot.

But the role had been inactive for the entire game, which means that he was then a 4-shot inventor with a full arsenal for the final phase. It was pretty much a layup from there, for him to hand a kill to sabie and for sabie to shoot right the final night. Ideally, the inventor role is exhausted earlier, or at least the vig kill is, and that player slot is resolved sooner as well. But at the same time, the influence of that role earlier in the game could very easily have dramatically changed the landscape in any direction. We'll never know.

That said, I don't wish to take anything away from anyone in this game. sabie, as calculon, still needed to remain alive and be town-read to that point to be given the shot. The town had to work to get into that position despite a fluky Day 1 cop lynch and the absence of one of their most powerful roles, and the mafia team had done well to pick off other roles that were in their way (Doctor Epi was completely neutralized after making one save). The game came down to the wire after everything. I felt like either team could have won at various points during the game.

Regarding "no claiming" rules and possible violations: there's always going to be a gray area there. I can't ask players not to have theories about the remaining players and roles, but it does get a bit messy when the pool is so small. I designed this game to be a throwback to the earlier days of the Syndicate when open setups and restricted claims were in vogue. That's what I wanted it to be and that's what it was. I hope that everybody at least had fun playing it. Thank you all.

night 4 is incomplete because i didn't have time to update it, but everything else should be there.

On the set of All My Circuits, the last day of filming before the season wraps. Calculon enters an empty sound stage and looks around. Where is everyone? Usually there's a bustle of commotion around him to begin the day. Where are those drones who make the show happen around his glorious aura?

Suddenly a door swings open in the distance. From across the room he sees the Execubots enter.

"What have you done to my show, you cold, calculating animals?" Calculon demanded.

"We fixed it," began an Execubot, "The Director lost touch with the audience. Monique was driving viewers away by holding you back."

"Everyone knows this is Calulon's show, and so that's what we've turned it into. Isn't this what you wanted?"

The Execubots surrounded him. He could see a sinister light in their eyebulbs. And yet... were they wrong? It was clear to him, Calculon, that he was the star of the show. Why shouldn't he have the stage to himself? For a moment he began to consider their position, and he believed it.

But then a rare moment of something resembling humility came over Calculon. If there is no one to share the spotlight, can he really be the star? The brightest star rises to that point by outshining all the others. With no cast and crew, Calculon would merely be a dim bulb dangling in a forgotten storage closet. No. This was ludicrous. He needed all his circuits for the show to work. Calculon snapped into a fit of rage.

"Curse you, foul beelzebots! A pox on whatever programming drove you to this moment! If the show is to go on, it will go on without your interference!"

In his madness, Calculon grabbed a magnet off the prop refrigerator. He waved menacingly at the Execubots.

"Be gone, all of you! I'm not afraid to use this!"

"Calculon, be rational!" they pleaded, creeping toward the exit.

Calculon charged, and they fled. As the door closed behind them, Calculon fell to his knees and wept. They had done everything in their power to ruin his show. But they had not cancelled it. As long as Calculon remained, All My Circuits could stay on the air. He'd saved the show, even if it was only hanging on by one loose, dangling wire.

The Director and the Execubots are seated around a spacious conference table. The Director's eyes are downcast.

"It's not getting them off their tractors anymore," explains Execubot 2.

"We calculate the show needs a 4.35% increase in attitude. You are only capable of producing a 2.3% increase. We hope that you understand," chimes in Execubot 3.

"You stinking robots don't know what you want! This show was something special, and you bastards blew it up!" The Director had taken their senseless redirection long enough. He was going to let them hear it.

"I liked that," replied Execubot 1.

"But it's too late. This attitude is not enough to save you. We are moving in a younger, hipper direction with All My Circuits.

Pause.

Steal my joke again and you’re looking at a modkill, buckaroo!

The remaining cast and crew all waited on set to begin filming. They were all there, except for Antonio. The child robot had been absent all morning. Agitated, the director stormed to his trailer.

Forcing his way inside, he saw the young Antonio standing immobile with no light in his eyes. His agent was seated on the couch, a shocked look on his face.

"He just... started installing an update. There's no telling how long he'll be offline," the agent explained.

"We've got a season finale to shoot today!" The director was furious and more than a little annoyed.

"I don't know what to tell you." The dejected agent looked up, "You'll have to go on without him."

[Scene: Calculon, Antonio, and Monique seated at a crowded pizzeria.]

Calculon: ... and that, son, is how robots are made.

Antonio: [Stunned] So... that's where I came from? And you and mother?

Monique: Yes, son.

Calculon: Now let's enjoy some delectable slices of 'za, my boy.

The scene is interrupted once more by an unruly mob. Fathers Against Rude Television have erupted back into the room.

"What is it this time?", demands the director.

"We will not tolerate this filth on our television screens. As parents, it is our responsibility to shelter our children from such educational hogwash," was the insistence of one aggressive F.A.R.T.

"Your kids aren't even robots," rebutted Calculon, "And what's more, children are invited on tours of the robot factory every day. This is nonsense. Someone remove these repugnant stragglers from my set."

"You can't keep us silent forever, Calculon! F.A.R.T. demands to be heard. There will be no mistaking our presence when this is all over, and everyone will know that you're to blame!"

"I find that hard to believe. Now out the back door with you."

The Fathers Against Rude Television were forced off the set by security, and filming resumed without further mention of them.

[Scene: Calculon in a hospital bed, surrounded by Monique and Antonio. A doctor is holding a clipboard.]

Calculon: Give it to me straight, doctor. I don't want you to sugarcoat it.

Doctor: Your oil is low. You'll need to get it changed. We've been trying to find a donor, but nobody matches your specifications. Except...

Monique: What is it, doctor? Isn't there anything you can do to save this brave hero who just diverted a rocket full of orphans from flying directly into the sun?

Doctor: I am a match. I could give Calculon my oil, but the operation could prove fatal. For both of us!

Calculon: Are you not programmed to do everything in your power to help your patients, doctor? If I die it will be my oil on your hands!

Doctor: And if I die it will be my oil in your gears. But so be it! We'll perform the operation posthaste!

[Cut to an operating room. Tubes pump fluids from the Doctor into Calculon. As Calculon comes back online, the Doctor flatlines.]

Calculon: Nooooooooooooooo!

[End Scene.]

[Scene: A funeral. Various robots, humans, and aliens gathered around an open casket. Phillip J. Fry, a human, is speaking.]

Fry: Dearly beloved, we are here today to remember Bender. Taken from us in the prime of life when he was crushed by a runaway semi driven by the Incredible Hulk. Bender was a lot of things to a lot of people. Looking back, the number one thing I can say about him is this, and simply this: Bender was my friend.

[Monique weeps, comforted by Calculon as Danny Boy plays on the organ. Fry bows his head and walks off screen.
"Cut!"

As the scene ends, Bender sits up in his casket, irate.

"You call that a tribute? I was the most popular character in television history, and that's the best you people could do? Forget this, I'll make my own TV show. With blackjack, and hookers! In fact, forget the TV show and the blackjack!" Bender storms off set, never to return again.



Note: The deadline for this night will be 6 PM EST, 1 hour later than today's deadline was. It is not necessary to submit night actions to juliets tonight.

ATTN: All Glory To the Hypnotoad has been cancelled. There shall be no more glory to the Hypnotoad.

[Scene: Calculon and Monique's fourth wedding, aboard a yacht. Officiated by a Priest, Bender and Boxy Robot as groomsbots.]

Priest: And do you, Calculon, take this fembot as your lawfully coded wife?

Caluclon: I d...

[Enter Antonio, on a jetski]

Antonio: Father wait! For there is a terrible secret you must know about...

Calculon: Yes, yes, I know. A terrible secret about Monique. I...

Antonio: No father! A terrible secret about that priest! He's actually a killbot, sent here to assassinate Bender!

Boxy Robot: Beepbeepbeepbeepbeep...

Bender: Neat.

Priest: [Transforming into Killbot] Bite my shiny metal gun!

[Calculon lunges at the Killbot, disarming him. Together with Bender and Monique, they overpower him and throw him overboard to the delight of the crowd. End Scene]
"I don't get it," said Bender off camera, "Was that guy even a character on the show?"

"Don't ask questions," was the only answer he got.

[Scene: Calculon and Monique at an arcade. Antonio playing whack-a-mole in the background.]

Calculon: [Drinking Slurm] Oh Monique. The only thing I love more than the crisp refreshing taste of this soft drink is the warmth of your tender embrace. Would you re-marry me here, in this very arcadium?

Monique: I thought you would never ask, sweet Calculon. Yes, yes, one quadrillion times yes!

[Confetti falls from the ceiling as a siren sounds. Slurms McKenzie enters with party babes, dancing.]

Antonio: [Holding an oversized bundle of arcade tickets] Father, look! I've won enough tickets to pay for your operation AND the trip to the Slurm factory!

The scene ended abruptly, as a breaking news bulletin came on the TV.

"Our top story today," Morbo begins, "The Network President has been caught laundering funds through an off-planet banking scheme. In spite of the President's cold-hearted malice and disregard for his puny human minions, Morbo condemns this fraudulent corruption, and celebrates his impending downfall."

"Coming up next," Linda follows, "why some doctors are warning that flying directly into the sun might be bad for you."

The TV turns off as abruptly as it was turned on. Bender lights a cigar triumphantly. The Network President had been turning All My Circuits into an incomprehensible personal piggybank. If he was being forced out, maybe things could be a little easier on set.

Calculon stared across the table at the Network President. Their meeting had been tense, but he felt it would be peacefully resolved at last. The Network President had invited him to dinner at Hollywood's fanciest restaurant to discuss terms, and Calculon was all too eager to strike a deal and bring peace to his set. He reiterated his demands, just to be sure:

"So I will get more lines, and in return all you need from me is three plugs per episode for Slurm?"

"That's correct. I don't care how you get it done, just do it."

"Mr. President, you've got yourself a deal!" Calculon stood up, reaching out to shake the president's nonexistent hand.

"Very well. We'll leave your show alone this week then." The Network President's handler picked him up, and they were gone

Calulon sat back down with a sigh, sipping his drink. Just then Elzar came by with the check. Calculon took one look, and spit out his drink.

"Bam!" shouted Elzar, quickly leaving the table. At least the show would go on in peace for once...

[Scene: A lawn party at Calculon's mansion. Calculon and Monique are skateboarding on Calculon's state of the art half pipe.]

Calculon: Check this radittude, Bot Stuff. [Calculon does a sick trick]

Monique: Oh Calculon, you're even more extreme than you are handsome!

[Enter Antonio, on a skateboard, followed by Bender, on a skateboard. Laughter and applause.]

Antonio: Father, I've just received word that your evil twin is on his way here!

Calculon: Sleazy Martinez? But... we had him locked trans-dimensional space prison!

Monique: I warned you that no dimension can hold his suave and rugged manhood.

Calculon: Alas, but I underestimated my own identical twin brother! How could I be so naive?

Bender: What's the big deal? None of you people are me, so why the hell should I care? [Bender lights a cigar and nonchalantly executes a perfect backflip on the half-pipe. Laughter and applause.]

[Enter Sleazy Martinez, on a skateboard. Gasps, dramatic music plays.]

Sleazy: Hello brother. I'll be taking what's mine now! [Sleazy takes Monique in his arms, she swoons.]

Calculon: I thought I told you on Pizza Planet IX, Sleazy, that Monique loves I, not thee!

An angry mob bursts on set, chanting and waving hastily made signs. The scene comes to an abrupt halt, and Bender lights another cigar.

"Who are these rapscallions!", demands Calculon.

"We're Fathers Against Rude Television, and we don't like what we see here. Five robots on skateboards, and not a single helmet! We don't want our boys to see that. F.A.R.T. will not remain silent in the face of such deadly depictions of coolness."

"Neat," says Bender, snapping a picture on his camera.

Just then the Execubots arrive on set, alarmed by the commotion.

"What seems to be the problem?"

"We demand you do something about this ghastly display! We have every intention of lingering in this room until our demands are met!", erupts one of the Fathers Against Rude Television.

"Very well then. The mob has spoken."

Unfortunately, the Execubots did not take the time to figure out just what caused this raucous intrusion. They assumed the problem was Sleazy's misogyny, and immediately removed him from the show.

Network President: Broken down robots are good for ratings. Every time we have a malfunction on screen, viewer eyeball focus increases 10-15%.

Execubot 1: Yes.

President: Can that handyman. What's his name? Hank? Steve? I don't care. Just get rid of him.

Execubot 1: Yes sir.

Execubot 2: We need laugh tracks.

[Scene: Monique and Sleazy Martinez on a public boardwalk, arms linked. Calculon skateboards in radically]

Calculon: Hello dudes. You think this computes?

Sleazy: Calculon! But I thought you were...

Calculon: Metric? Think again, bozo.

Monique: (Flushed) Calculon... I didn't know you were so cool!

[End Scene]
As soon as the camera stopped rolling, the cast and crew turned on each other. The show was busted, everyone knew it. As always, Calculon was the center of attention.

"This scene is terrible! I won't have it!"

The director had given up trying to get through to his star. He simply stared straight ahead. But Calculon's human co-star was not so defeated. They played friends on screen, but the tension between these two thespians was beyond repair.

This incident would be the last straw. Eight seasons of petty frustrations boiled over, and after a length shouting match it was inevitable that one of them would need to be written out of the show. It was an easy choice for the studio heads.

Calculon: Curses, Monique! Look what you've done to our family. I knew I never should have trusted you with that demon pirate's treasure we found on our third honeymoon. If only there was some way to pilot this ferris wheel back to our secret lair...
"Cut!"

The director had seen enough. The Execubots had turned his script into an even more melodramatic ball of garbage than usual. And also, Calculon was going off script again anyway!

"You dare to interrupt me in the middle of a scene? This is why I don't work with amateurs. I'll be in my trailer." Calculon stormed off the set.

The director sighed and wished for a better job. Just then one of the Network Execubots burst onto set with another new script.

"We are losing young viewers. Calculon needs to skateboard."

If only they could produce a show without all this meddling...

Mechanics & Rules:

Roles:

Town:

Calculon

The star of the show, Calculon is virtually untouchable on set. He will survive the first fatal action against him, whether via a lynch or a nightkill. *(Secrets)*

Monique

Calculon’s beloved… or so he thinks. Monique is prone to sharing her hardware with other robots, and maybe even a human from time to time. Monique can establish temporary BTSC with a different player each night.


Human Friend

He laughs, he loves, he learns; typical human stuff. Using human intuition, Human Friend can identify the alignment of one player each night.


Boxy Robot

Beep. Beep. Beep. His nondescript frame and silent demeanor lend him a surprising adeptness at stealth. Boxy Robot can spy on a player each night, learning what type of ability was performed on them. He will not learn which player performed the action.

Sleazy Martinez

Calculon’s identical twin. If a tie occurs, the town will look to Calculon for a decision but Sleazy will interfere, allowing him to decide which player is lynched. *(Secrets)*

Antonio Calculon Jr.

Antonio Calculon Jr. has the nimble feet of a child, and as such he may follow a player each night to learn who, if anyone, they target. However, he's also prone to amnesia. If targeted by any non-town night ability, Antonio will fail to remember his results that night.

Robot Doctor

He’s a doctor. Every night he can protect a player.


Sal

Sal, the ubiquitous handyman, is on-set to fix busted robots. Each night he can target a robot and prevent them from being blocked. Role only affects robot characters.


Director

The director assigns motive and direction to the characters on his show. He has four 1-shot abilities which may be distributed at night. Only one ability may be distributed per night, but he is free to double, triple, or quadruple target.

Priest

Programmed to have impervious spiritual resolve, the Priest is immune to the Hypnotoad, and on 3 nights he may grant a player of his choosing immunity as well.

Bender

TV’s coolest robot. Bender is allegedly a terrible influence on impressionable youth, but he’s just so darn cool. His influence spreads everywhere. Twice during the game, Bender can cast two votes in the poll. He may cast two votes for the same player, or he may cast votes on two separate players. He’s Bender, baby. In addition, Bender can steal the ability of player he votes for once during the game. He will be granted access to that player’s night abilities the following night.


Mafia:

Network Execubots

The Execubots can move freely through set without interference. Twice during the game, they can perform an undetectable kill. They are also able to identify a player’s role twice during the game.

Fathers Against Rude Television (F.A.R.T.)

Fathers Against Rude Television takes a strong stance against indecent content on the boob-tube. Once during the game, F.A.R.T may seek to rid a player’s smut from the game by stripping them of their right to vote the following day phase. And if that doesn’t work, there’s always the option of resorting to violence: four times during the game, the FARTers can rough a player up at night, preventing them from performing their night action that phase.

Network President

The Network President has final say over all things, and nobody can stop him. Twice during the game, the Network President can modify the mafia team kill to be unblockabkle. As long as the Execubots remain alive, the President begins each Day with -1 vote and his alignment cannot be checked (he will be ID’d as town). *(Secrets)*


Independent:

The Hypnotoad

The Hypnotoad can hypnotize a player each night. Hypnotized players cannot harm the Hypnotoad in any way (via vote or nightkill). Hypnotized players are unaware of their hypnosis and remain hypnotized permanently, unless it is interrupted. On two nights, the Hypnotoad can assume control over a hypnotized player’s night action. On one day, the Hypnotoad can assume control over a hypnotized player’s vote. The Hypnotoad wins if he is the sole survivor or if all remaining players in the game are hypnotized.
